Guardian 4 - Party Time [PV Preview]

Guardian 4 have another single coming out on November 18th and in the style of the "great" Kirarin Revolution, they finally attacked the opening of the Shugo Chara Anime. (I'm sure fans of Shugo Chara are rolling in their graves at this turn of events. *Eww Real People attacked mah anime~*)

Shugo Chara Egg will be tagging along with the Guardian 4 single with the c/w song, Watashi no Tamango.

I'm getting a music-goodness overload here. I love Kimagure Princess, Ryuusei Boy, Bravo! Bravo!, and now Party Time. Plus this "using real people in the anime" thing will (hopefully) help boost Buono!, Guardians4, and Shugo Chara Egg popularity, even though the anime is more directed towards the younger audience.

Agreed. Things are looking good on the music scene from H!P's upcoming releases.



I like Party Time so far. It's easier listening than the previous Guardians' singles and closer to standard jpop. Plus, I think I'm really going to enjoy seeing the real girls in the opening if that's how they're going to do things from now on.

Man, I love the comments. "Why are there actors in my anime made for 5 year olds?!" Anime fans never fail to make me laugh.



The song is better than all of their other singles. I think I like it.

The Shugo Chara Cosplayer singles this time around are some of the best ones so far. Buono!'s new one is really good too. They're not so much anime and actually sound mainstream and normal.



However, as a fan of Shugo Chara! I am a bit disappointed. The quality of the anime has gone way down with the inclusion of the Pucchi Puchi and the Egg segements. They could've at least made the show an hour. They didn't bother to make a new opening and ending and went the cheap route of taking clips from the show and pasting still pictures of the characters into random spots. Thank goodness they didn't pull a Kirarin and make the entire show cel shaded 3D. :/ I'm sad.

If they got rid of the cosplay aspect, this could be a pretty good mainstream single. I like it. And I can't wait for SCE 2.0 to debut.

I know we discussed poor Saho when the news of new Shugo Egg came out, but seeing it now really made me understand. I wonder if she's sad she got "left out" from S/mileage or happy she gets to be on television every week.



But I guess this thread is about Guardians 4. I like the green outfits. Every time they change the color, it is striking how much the color changes things. The blue looked nicer than red, and now green looks good too. I guess yellow is next, but I don't know how good that would look. Aika is always cute. Always.

At least we don't have the Shugo Chara musical cast crashing the anime, that would freak out the anime fans even more. xD



I guess you can talk about the Shugo Eggs, since their own company doesn't even want to make some something other then a tag-a-long to the Guardian 4. They can tag-a-long in this thread. (At least for this single release.)



I hope for the next single they get a golden yellow and not something poopy looking. I'd love to see them do a white plaid version of the costume. That would be cool. The pa pa pa pia parts are cute, but once we get to solo vocals they're kind of irritating from all of the girls. I'm not really sure why, since I thought "Aika sounds a lot better in this" ^^;; Maybe it's just the way the song is written. I've been a lot more excited about Shugo Chara Egg this whole time, but now they have totally different members so I'm not sure I'll care as much.



I guess I can see where the anime fans are coming from. At the least, the random inclusion of Guardians 4 with anime scenes is confusing. It feels a lot more like I'm watching the PV to an anime theme song done by a mainstream artist than an anime opening - but then they're dressed in costume and it just takes me back to this old video that people used to freak out over. Maybe it'd make more sense if I actually watched the show.

This is terrible, all the best singles are coming out and my comp broke so I can't get the mp3 on my ipod! T_T But I like the green uniforms, but blue is still my favorite so far! I would think their running out of Theme song ideas though o.o how many seasons are there gonna be? XD

I do hope the next single will be cute enough as well as the yellow outfits......I think after that, they should assign colors to the girls. I like the song a lot, and the PV for the most part. I think the fact that it's in a backyard is pretty random, but it is H!P.

And I'm not a huge fan of the color of the outfits. Blue has been the only ones I really liked so far.

Risako sounds the best in my opinion.

But it's PARTY TIME, so of course it's in a backyard! Backyards certainly remind me of children's parties. Just two months ago, I was in a backyard making bubbles with my 3 year old sister at her birthday party.

@ Molly: I think blue was their best color as well.............and not because it's my fav. color. The blue just popped out more. The deeper voices sound better in this after all. Saki sounds a bit out of place because of it, but the PV is definitely their best so far. They're slowly upgrading with each new single like Tsunku's deciding to put more budget into them little by little.

I love the song, and I would like the PV more if there wasn't so much Shugo Chara footage in it. I know it's a Shugo Chara song and everything but I wanna see the girls, not the anime, in my PVs.



Also, I think the green costumes are my favorite so far.

The full PV is out, I don't know if anyone mentioned it here, but it aired on TV and is on the tracker in full quality. The song is more mainstream-dance-y than their previous stuff, instead of just being pure anime pop, its a cool change. Its a very simple song with not a whole lot going on, but its still really good. Aika always sounds like a mongoloid anyway, so I've already gotten past that and I like the other 3's voices in this song, even though that's not terribly relevant because their voices are very processed so you're probably not hearing much of their actual voices among all the backups and vocal processing. Risako usually sounds like a train wreck, but she sounds pretty nice here. And yeah, the costumes are the least-hideous ones yet for them, definite plus.
