Apprently there's a "glitch" overpricing the 23$.
I refuse to pay 14$. Hell, the photocards could be sent on their own as lettermail!

Re: Hello!Project English Store
Holy crap, the shipping to anywhere in the United States is $5! That's..... that's pretty much the best thing I've ever seen. Augh, I just wish they had more things I would actually consider buying. More shirts/clothing/etc.... those would be great products to get for a flat rate of $5 on shipping.
There seems to be both options for international shipping. The shipping info page says international flat rate is $14.00. Which is still sort of ridiculous for Canada.
Ridiculous, but not really all that off-base. Even if you go directly to the post office, it costs about that much to mail even fairly small items to Canada. International mail is just crazy expensive these days =/
As for photocards getting shipped as lettermail, that's just not going to happen on any business site. Shipping options even on well established retailers like YesAsia and CDJapan pretty much limit their shipping options to something Real Fast (EMS, FedEx, etc), Not So Fast (registered air mail), or The 1800s (your shit is on a boat - but still in a box/padded envelope). Since the site is so new, they may add more shipping options if they see a high number of non-US buyers.
I'm a little dissapointed with the site myself, though I suppose I shouldn't be. They're offering a ton of stuff, and a lot of it is current - the current stuff just isn't that exciting. I was hoping for a cute JunJun phone strap or keychain or t-shirt, but the current MM set is kind of lame. The "Coming Soon" t-shirts from 9 Smile look more promising though. Hopefully MM will get some cuter phone straps like those awesome music note Berryz ones. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

How much does regular letter-mail cost? If anyone wants cheaper shipping, I wonder if it is feasible to have the goods mailed to a bbs person in the states and then have that person mail it to Canada.

People who are unhappy with anything on the store site or want something else can leave feedback on the Japanfiles website link provided on the first post. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
And if anyone can find a cheap way to ship from the US to out of country that doesn't take forever or cost a fortune, I'd love to hear it. D:

It really depends on how heavy the letter is. If you go to usps.com, you can look it up by weight, size, shape, destination, etc. For a regular letter, it's somewhere around $1-2 depending on where it's going. If you add stuff to the letter and it gets heavier, then the shipping becomes more expensive. As for anything that won't fit in a letter, there's priority flat rate international shipping envelopes that cost around $11, and I think boxes that cost even more. If someone wants anything heavier than a photo set, then I'm not sure it's really worth it - since they'd have to pay to ship the item to the person in the US, then to have that person ship it abroad. By then it'd take forever too.

Re: Hello!Project English Store
I was sure wrong about this stuff being cheap! Everything I'm kinda interested in is absurdly expensive. The T-shirts are all very small, I bought a few of them a while ago and official H!P shirts are always a Japanese "large" which is barely bigger than an American medium size, so that doesn't do me any good. Towels are fucking $40. I would buy a dozen or so of those towels if they weren't so ridiculously overpriced. They also need to have bigger pictures of the items, its hard to see the detail on a vast majority of them.

For the Shirts, you must keep in mind that Japanese people have smaller statures than Americans. For towels, seriously! If they were $20 I might even still hesitate, but for $40 dollars I might as well buy their CDs o.o. and I agree with the pictures, I constantly click them out of habit only to find they're the same size on the information page. But overall I would blow all my money on this store if I wasn't saving my money >.< and if my parent would let me, which I doubt... But overall I'm in love with this store ^.^

Re: Hello!Project English Store
I've bought a Nine Smile T-shirt, and I think it's not THAT expensive. Yes, with the shipping, it's 53$, but when you go to a concert (example Coldplay), the tickets are freakking 125$ and the T-shirt, the exact same price (around 30~40$). I think it's a good price.
But for the towel....
I don't want to buy one because I feel I'm going to be disapointed of the picture on it. You can't see what it really looks like. Well, they need time to improve. XD

Re: Hello!Project English Store
Since the thread is bumped anyway...
So... has anyone bought anything? How was the shipping speed? How was it packed? Was the fabric/stitching/print quality nice? Will it hold up in washings or crack? Worth the cash?
I really want a NINE SMILE shirt, but I'm still hesitant on the place, especially with what they're charging.

All the stuff they sell is the same stuff in Japan, they just order small batches and have it shipped over then sell it.
Personally I think it would be easier to pre-order then ask for that many have them shipped and then sell but I have a feeling that would make the price of things go higher. D:
Everything I want is either sold out or not there. :<

Re: Hello!Project English Store
I had a suprise when I got home today! YES!
Being a EGL (Elegeant Gothic Lolita for noobs XD) for 3 years, I'm used to order a lot of stuff of Japan, from many ways. So here's my review!
First of all, the speed: I ordered the 17th (of October) after the business hours, so I took almost 2 weeks to get from H!P USA to me, Montréal, Québec, Canada. Well, it's acceptable, but it's not incredibly fast. The package is not extra too, it's only in a paper enveloppe and wrapped in plastic, nothing else to protect.
As for the shirt... With people complaining about the size, I though it would be much smaller. But no. Compared to my brother's T-shirt, it's really between M and L (for men, of course). For a small girl like me.... It's a cute MM dress XD. Otherwise, the quality is normal, we'll see after a wash.
It came with a wristband and 2 Risa pictures.
I'm satisfied with this order, but nothing exceptionnal. Anyway, you'll see.
That was my feedback.

Besides the «yeah this is cool»...Just to point it out.
They added the pre-oder section for the groups AND the quantity. And photobooks. And stuff for Melon and Ayaya. Maybe it's worth checking again.

Are concert photobooks nice to look at? For some reason, I always thought they'd be filled with tiny pictures, bad lighting, and weird sweaty girls. Maybe I am confusing them with fan photos at the concerts though.

Fan photos with the awkward pose? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />
Some concert photobooks are nicer then others I guess. I like looking at all the different costumes and sometimes they have backstage photos which are nice. I like those photobooks with all the backstage photos and the writing thrown into them but I rarely see them for sale anywhere so I guess they must be a fanclub thing? I don't know what they are called though. Anything that isn't a bunch of bikini shots is good in my book.
Seems all the pre-order stuff is only around till November 15th or untill they run out so get'm while you can! D: I hope they do some more in the future. Pre-orders are so nice. <3
