I think you make two excellent points, really. Maimi isn't the topic! And Maimi's hair really does need to come off Captain.

(Also, almost everything said about Captain in this thread has been opinions, meaning it's not a question of truth or lies. The only fact about her has been that she collects money to buy presents for her mom. Are you claiming that that's not true?)

I actually wasn't going to comment here because I was almost sure someone would have appointed that already, now I'm starting to think I'm just delusional but I still think Maimi may have had a haircut not only to change a bit - I mean, girls at that age always appreciate a little change - but also because Mano has been going for the same look as her. Both usually appear in photos for the same magazines and all... I, myself, have thought a lot of times before Mano was actually Maimi. I only noticed my mistake some time later, when I read others commenting about "Mano" (and I can read kanji - at least enough to know their names).

So, besides wanting to change, maybe the agency actually advised her to.

As I said, I could just be delusional messing up with those two <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... stling.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dance:' /> , but since Mano started changing her haircut (when her solo activities began last year I think) she getting closer and closer to Maimi's look. Even if Maimi is her senpai, I think Mano's looks suit what UFA wants for her and Maimi needed to grow out of that look. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whip:' /> I'm saying, ultimately it was just her choice (Michishige and JunJun's bickering show that they don't actually force anyone, I think). And she did have some change this year for her fringe, at least that is what I noticed in the Hawaii photos.

Well, enjoying the opportunity, I have to say I loved Maimi's look, even if half of H!P girls seems to love that as well. And, while I'm at similarities, now Maimi reminds me of ShenShen. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/sigh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='^_^' />

Anyway, I do think that is a good point JSp, Maimi and Mano were both rocking the small features, pale skin, long flat black hair classic (as in 80s classic) idol look. I'd like to see them try to give Maimi a more spunky style rather than the girl next door thing.

This is true, but Saki looks pretty fugly even when she isn't performing....

Anyway, I think Maimi looks cute but I would have liked a little more interesting of a style. As far as shorter cuts go, it's pretty "safe", and that's boring on someone with so much natural beauty. Of course, her old hair was boring too so it's nothing worse as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to see how it looks in motion, too. Next PV, I guess!

I had to stop myself from laughing at that because it hurts to laugh with my new piercing.

On Maimi's haircut: At least it's something different. I've always thought Maimi was very pretty, but her hair was boring as hell and did her no justice. Hopefully whoever does the girls hair can style it correctly because they've been doing horribly on Aika's short hair now a days.

On Saki: When I first became an H!P fan I thought she was fugly, but now she's growing out of her awkward phase. Especially with those goddamn catepillars off her face.
