I love the PV. As soon as I saw the announcement that it was up on cell phone site I paid my Y525 and bought it. I did that for Kimagure too x_x (but Kimagure was actually a different version than any of the others). For me the money was totally worth it.

I love the catwalk and simple stage formula for the dance shots mixed with shots of them being made up in very bright and flashy makeup. The scenes of them walking down the hall are really nice as well. The quality doesn't come out well when it's been recorded like that and put on computer but it's much higher on phones, 3g quality I believe.

I really like that although the main members get a little more screen time than the others, the distribution is pretty even. I wasn't sold on the outfits at first but I think they go well with the lyrics of the song. I can't wait to see the other versions of the PV.

I had not heard the song since pre-Christmas and I actually enjoy it more now. I'm okay with the intro synth. Overall, it's a very decent song that I would listen to recreationally.

The PV is okay and seems like a single, constant idea and the aesthetics are above-par for H!P. It feels very Valentine's-ish. Do we know a erelease date? Is it close to then?

Hey, UFA had enough money to buy makeup <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/w00t.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

It releases February 10, so I think you're right on the money.

Could that have maybe been the Rechokku version? Or however it's spelled?

I am a huge fan of the Regular edition...

I think I need to go over there and show UFA how to Photoshop. Limited A is just...horrid. And the fuck is up with Limited C's background?

The girls look amazing L.C.; that's the dissapointing thing. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':nono:' />
I just... am not fond of how they handled this single XD I like the song, but I hate the costumes, and the PV to me is like, the bastard offspring of Yuujou Kokoro Busu ni wa Naranee and Osaka Koi no Uta. I feel like there was a lot of wasted potential here.
and Namida no Taiyou's over sized disco ball

The only concept I get out of the PV is... "HEY KOHARU, WE'RE MODELING"

The timing is a bit funny. As soon as she leaves, they do a runway PV.

Even fairly plain PVs can be quite enjoyable in HQ, so I think this will be fine.
Very shitty quality cell phone PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37l5c3q99vc

At least this one has a concept that fits with the song. *glares at Kimagure Princess*
At least it has more than 2 angles, and something is actually going on. Or at least they're trying to make it seem so.

I'm starting to wonder if MM videos with the girls dancing on an empty stage against a black backdrop are a metaphor for something. Like bunraku, where the black-clad puppeteers are supposed not to be seen. So maybe in a twist on that, we're supposed to fill the black spaces with our imagination. Uh oh, did I just elevate MM PVs to a higher form of art?

On the other hand, I can't help but think of Monty Python's and other skits where the cameras keep rolling and the show continues while the TV crew dismantles and carries the studio set away.

Ok, I get the idea - it's a modelling show and it's a catwalk, and there's little decorations to go with it. But it feels so empty regardless.

It's not like shooting a decent PV costs this much. If UFA really wasn't able to afford a decent PV, I don't think we would be seeing them continue to do anything at all. I suspect it's some idiot suit person unfortunately being in power to decide how much is spent and or what that is stingy, have no idea of the market and medium, and is cutting the corners where they definitely shouldn't. And if you really have a budget of a high school movie club, you do not attempt to make an all out glamour PV, damn it. Look at Aruiteru, even look at Morning Coffee and the first few PVs before Love Machine. I bet they cost at most as much as this one, and how much more interesting they are. Damn executive idiots. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... dammit.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

After a second viewing, the PV is growing on me, as well as the song. Still not something i'd play over and over again. The costumes still urk me, I wish they had it within their budget for a second set of costumes. I think I might like the dance version of this PV, it looks interesting. :x

The random pause with the text after Eri's line kinda threw me off, especially since they never did it again. Sayumi must be kicking kittens since all she seemed to get were random Uh sounds again.

Not sure at the moment, I like the PV although I agree the costumes are too much, they look ugly on the close-ups. I think I like the song but I need to hear it a few more times before I'm really sure if it's good or just average.

I normally find random fragments of a new song quickly get lodged in my head but so far this hasn't happened which makes me think I am more likely to move towards the average rating.

Of course in a few weeks I might have decided it's one of the finest things they've done <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' />.

Very meh all around. :/ Song isn't that great, despite that I'll end up listening to it a lot, dance is weird, PV looks like it had quite a bit more effort than usual put into it, but still doesn't stand out. This is my least favorite single in a while. Very bland.

And yeah, lots of really random ass things in the PV. Looks like they didn't really have a plan for it. Oh well. I'm sure the next single will be better.

At least the b-side is fucking amazing.

The random text PQ pointed out is really weird, I have no idea what they were going for there.

Other than that, this PV isn't too bad. It really would have benefited a lot from having an audience at the fashion show, and occasionally having shots of fashion critics/designers/etc. in the crowd nodding in approval or cheering for the girls. Come on, those random white people that are always in reenactment scenes on Japanese TV shows can't be that expensive to hire xD

I don't mind the costumes at all, I only wish the head pieces were smaller. I think the fit the "medatte" (stand out) theme perfectly.

The song itself is growing on me, but it's taking longer than their last few singles to stick in my head. It really would have been a perfect graduation song for Koharu considering the theme.

This PV would have been so much better if they fell or slipped on the runway.

You picked the wrong single to come back to (though I imagine your response would have been the same no matter what the song). This song will certainly fit with the sound of the album compared to the previous singles, but it's not really good as a single.

Well, I absolutely adore the poses Mittsi and Gaki struck when they reached the end of the runway, but I agree with the sentiments that there's nothing too amazing about the whole package.

I'm not bothered by the outfits, I like the PV, and I like the song, but it probably won't stick out much to me in the future.

Oh, and I'll totally miss Risa's hair from now on. She's so freaking gorgeous with long curls. And it seems she always has heavier makeup than the other girls--as far as eyeliner and mascara goes, anyway.

!!!UFA is having them hold 2 female only events!!!

This is a GREAT idea and I'm astounded that it took then this long to do it. C-ute's been doing it for quite a while, and I know that a lot of female fans don't go to concerts/events because the wotas scare them.

It's true. MM has a blatant lack of a boyish truck-drivin' dyke member, especially since Yossie left and Miki threw everyone off by actually marrying a guy.

It is like a factory of Christmas tissue threw up on them. Those have got to be the ugliest costumes I've seen in a long time. And the girls are so overloaded with giant bows, earrings, necklaces, etc on top of those monstrosities. Since there is a fashion show story, they should have had multiple costume changes. SO disappointing.

However, I like the shots of them getting their makeup done. I like their surliness as they walk down the runway. Most of the girls look very pretty, except for the ones that just aren't.

Song is forgettable.

I like the Shouganai song best out of their recent songs, both in terms of PV and actual song.

Small comments, mostly repetition of what everyone else has said...

I liked the "makeup" shots, but I would've liked them more if the girls had actually been putting on their makeup, not brushing a brush w/o makeup on their cheeks. Sadly such a thing would ruin their glam image. I am disappointed at the shot of all that awesome COLOR sitting on the tables that was never used. I like their natural-esque look, but I want to smear some green eyeshadow on them sometimes.

lmao@ eri's description of outfits. I am also disappointed at the lack of costume change. If they want to be cheap, they could've told the girls to bring a couple of outfits from home. What sort of "fashion show" is the same outfit over and over again? Or hey, make us smile and have all the outfits from the past singles modeled. They'd have over 40!

I can't really comment on the song, because I've forgotten what it sounds like already. So I suppose that makes it forgettable? Oh noes, I care more about their outfits than the song!

Lastly, Takahashi, JJ, and Eri be lookin' gooood~

The dresses pretend to be graceful, but then the song feels like YAY WE'RE COOL AND MODELS! And they look like they have attitude when walking on the runway. The dance also just don't fit the dresses! I don't mind them that much, but they're in a completely wrong setting. They really could have done well in super cute street clothes. And I mean cute one's!!!

The song is forgettable.

So, I actually really listened to the song today now that the early rip is floating on the internet. I like it a bit better when not accompanied with the PV for some reason. Perhaps catwalks bore me. The musical breakdown at 2:40 is absolutely awesome; it reminds me of a Miura Norikazu song (maybe Kume Daisaku?). I think there's still no tracklist for the album; but, as I said before, this at least fits with the other singles that should be on the album.

The b-side is... interesting. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, the 'noise' is a bit much (and I also wish it was even more minimalist), but the whole song has a nice little laid-back, hiphop feel. The fancy repetitions/echoing/underlain-vocals bring a lot to the song. As always, I'm a sucker for breakdowns and buildups, so I love the little clanking opening to the song and its subsequent return three minutes later (the preview ended here, but there's actually a whole minute left in the song).

If they were having problems choosing which should be the a-side, I guess they picked correctly. Actually, now I don't know, maybe the b-side would have had more mass appeal? But for all I know the lyrics were interchangeable so they just switched up the set of lyrics. That would be amusing. But they are saying, "Come on give it to me right now" at the end of the b-side, aren't they? I hope my mind hasn't turned that lascivious that I'm hearing such things.

I like the dresses, but they're wearing way too much rouge. Especially sayumi and Eri.

I don't know about the song though... I somehow really like the refrain, but the "instrumental" part (which takes up a huge part of the song imho) is very annoying.

The single landed at #2 today with 16,452 singles sold on the Oricon charts. Kat-Kun pummeled them with a release of 157,788 but I guess that's to be expected these days?

There ain't no way they'll be making #1 with this single unless they go and sell themselves on the street if you buy a case of singles from them. xD
