I guess I'm the only one happy that they made it to #2.

It was going to be a given anyway that KK was going to out sell them........the boy bands seem to out sell pretty much everyone. It was a good thing that SMAP

or Arashi wasn't releasing anything at the time.

As for the song, I think it's a great single and yes, the b-side does sound good since I can hear Aika, JunJun, and LinLin.

I like the Make-up version, it's different. The close-up and dance versions are all the same so there's not really a "it sucks" or "it rocks" deal with me, since all the

girls look amazing and the dance is really just a dance. To be honest though, I'm kinda glad that Koharu isn't in this song. And even though people think that it's funny

that the PV is about runway and Koharu left because she wanted to be a model.........the two things don't really go together. There are many runway models who have

never done print work and print models who have never done runway. It's like two different genres. I see Koharu as a print model only. I don't think she has the skills and

coordination to be a runway model and own the catwalk (as much as I loved Aika's and Risa's pose.......the girls didn't own the catwalk either).

It's a good point, but I kinda doubt they put that much thought into it, if the whole Koharu-modeling thing really was their line of thinking... XD

Include me in the joyous celebrations. It's still not one of my favourites, to be honest it would probably struggle to make my top 20 but as long as it keeps up the "top 6" record then I am happy.

Does anyone else think Risa stole the eyelashes off a camel and decided it was a good idea to wear them? D: Unlike every other Japanese idol who wants BIG eyes she's going for the let's make my eyes as tiny as possible by covering them in shag carpets for eyelids.

It's really noticeable in the new performance from Music Fighter. UTube She's all lash.

Edit: Instead of a bump, here's the Music Japan performance that aired today the 14th on UTube!

I watched that Music Japan Performance today, they were kind of lost in the middle of the post-Kouhaku/valentine's day special. It took so long for them to appear I think I only didn't give up because of L'Arc~en~Ciel right next! Anyway, it was a solid performance although it is funny that Eri and Sayumi are sporting similar hairstyles to the navigators' (Perfume) and Sayumi did have the spotlight during the song introduction. And I have nothing else to add, there wasn't anything extraordinary to make me like this song... <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /pouty.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pouty:' />

Yep. ^^ Think that was pretty obvious after the whole Kimagure Princess 'Eri no-arm' thing. lol

So, #5 with first week's sales of 36,169. Not exactly impressive with the second lowest first week's sales to Mikan although only just behind Kimagure Princess.

Methinks something needs to be done to give them a bit of a popularity boost, did I hear somebody suggest some auditions?

I would like to see several girls added, I always feel MM are stronger with 12 or so girls but is that likely to happen these days?

To me, the only reason to have more members is to get more money (not to have a fresh new lineup--it'll be fresh to us, but it'll wear off); because, it will bring more fans who would gravitate towards the newer girls (even though 8th gen didn't get the warm reception that they deserved). I think they need to focus on female fans instead of catering to the wota; but that's just my opinion. Because the more female fans they have, the better the chance to get girls who will audition and Tsunku will have a good pool to choose from and we won't have another audition where he couldn't find anyone.

Talking of popularity and how to boost it what happened to AKB48, they went from never selling more than 28,000 to suddenly rocketing to over 70,000 at the end of 2008 and their latest single shifting 229,528 on it's first day <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... prised.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' />. Is there a lesson here for UFA/Tsunku?

You probably don't want an answer from hardcore MM-fans to that question. ("They are all sluts !!")

imho it is because there are so many of them and because they are still fresh.

Yeah, way too many factors to answer that, and it'll end up turning into an argument. I just stick to calling them ugly.

No, it's true. They are sluts. HP are cute, fairly talented idols that certain fans jerk off to. ABK are fugly, untalented idols specifically made for fans to jerk off to.

With that many hoohaas, it'll be impossible for all of them to be unclean at any one time.

Another factor to consider is that Morning Musume already had their day of huge, booming popularity. All things are fads, and resurgene is a hard thing to come by.

OK, I think that has comprehensively answered my question.

I will, in future, avoid all possible contact with them due to their sheer fugliness, lack of talent and the fact that they are probably all diseased.

It's good to be able to come here and be put right on these matters <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sigh:' />.

Looks like it's there on the Dance Shot Version of the PV.

More importantly has Risa done her hair again? It looks blonder and a different shape.

Ai sounds very good here. I prefer this version that doesn't have a shitload of backing vocals to make the whole thing practically lip synched like their other live performances of this song. But one of them is yelling in the chorus and she should stop.

Yeah, I figured as much after hearing Aika's mic rip of this song during one of the concerts. I'm happy she's confident enough to sing louder now, but yelling is too much.
