Actually, YUI consistently ranks rather high in this poll. Frankly, I actually am not seeing a wholelot of new faces on here except maybe the AKB-ers (thought maybe I never notice them <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />)

Well that's kind of embarassing, other than the MM girls, Yajima Maimi, BoA and Ayumi Hamasaki the rest are almost a complete mystery to me <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nfused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />. I've heard a little AKB48 and Perfume, I wasn't impressed <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... eeping.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='=3=' /> and I wouldn't recognise any of the members if I fell over them, anybody want to tell me what I'm missing.

That pretty much answers the Koharu question. I am also slightly amazed at Mochida. She's really cute, but she's gotta be over 30 by now. She moved up a lot in the list from 2009. But, I guess she has released a solo album since that last poll.



Also, it appears Maimi has made a return from 2008.



As for Kashiwagi Yuki being higher than AKB's front girl, I don't think Maeda Atsuko really gives off the "girlfriend" vibe somehow. She usually feels inaccessible. And Kashiwaga is just more of a standard cute girl. And she is the weather girl for some channel sometimes. That's kinda cool. I guess.



Finally, I suppose "Ooshima Masako" is supposed to be "Oshima Yuko": a choice I fully support.



2010's list really was a good turnout for idols it seems.

very surprise result for me, because Kaori Mochida (real name ELT vocalist, also my fav for a long time ago) not young anymore compare to the others nominator.

there are some "old singer" (who started carreer in end-mid 1990's) in the list such as BoA & Ayumi Hamasaki.

for YUI, i think viewers choose her for her talent in music (compose song, play guitar very well, sing well too, and also kawaii!!)

Hamasaki and Mochida are both 31, which isn't too "old" either.
