So with all this anti-PS3 talk, this is probably not the best time to bring it up, but I just beat Uncharted 2, and I was very satisfied. Every 30 minutes or so in the single player mode there's a during-gameplay "holy shit this is awesome" moment. Not the best game ever, but definitely a great experience.

Now, on to Ace Attorney: Investigations. And maybe actually finishing Twilight Princess.

I just noticed this. Well, it still sucks for the people with older models.

Sony clearly is discriminating against fat people, so I see no reason to support them. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Ah good, but it's still pretty lame to require trophy syncing at all, let alone during bootup. I'll check later tonight, I'm reeeeeeeal curious to see if my games are still stuck in free demo mode.

This is pretty damn awesome. I hope it will be taken beyond a proof of concept game, so that there finally is one possibly serious incentive to get a DSi.

This, on the other hand, is not awesome at all. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/sick.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Still stuck halfway or so through case 3 of Trials and Tribulations. I want to hurry it up so I can finally put my hands on Investigations, but I don't really have when. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

House of the Dead: Overkill (Wii)
- awesome over the top 70's esque game that's vulgar, gross and has bouncing tits. - my kinda game.

MW2 (PC) - All around great game with great graphics and cool game-mode Spec Ops. If you overlook the fact that there are no dedicated servers its the best game of 09

Bioshock (PC) - Need to finish....bah its kinda boring but i've heard around halfway point it gets better.

Soon:

Demon Souls (PS3)
- gonna start that today when i get home - stupid PSN being down.

Project Sylpheed (360) - Will start withing a few weeks - got it for $5 yay <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Half-Life 3/Episode 3 (PC) - Can' wait - :-D *fap fap*

Found a patched version of Minna no Conbini, which is, basically, a Cooking Mama-style, Warioware-executed 7-11 simulator. You can pick if you want to be an American or Japanese boy or girl (handy reference, the Amrrricans are blond!) and basically spam re-stocking shelves, cleaning microwaves, and tidying up magazine racks until you get 1000000 visitors and then you hang yourself because you did it all in six hours. Still, it's fun and, if you know a little Japanese, it can be kind of edutaining.

Also, Pokemon Ranger (since apparently FireRed is for GBA and HeartGold isn't out yet still). I liked it and then I died and I hadn't saved since the middle of finding this hooker's Skittys. Still, it's interesting, but I don't feel like I've been using any sort of method. Also, everything is scripted which is a nice changed of pace from nothing being scripted, but scripts stop the gameplay and I hate that so much JUST RUN AFTER THEM THEY ONLY RAN TWO FEET FFFFFFUUUUUUUU. I'm capable of following you lab wench, don't stop every 4 inches HOOKER COAT. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /frown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Ace Attorney: On Case 5 and loving it. Case 3 was indeed one gigantic fan service, but I loved it for that. Mike Meekins is one of my favorite repeat characters, though Wendy Oldbag is among my least. Tie broken with Ema, though! So it was great to see two of my favorite characters make a return. Overall, Case 3 was one of my favorite cases in the series. Case 4 dragged on a bit but it was solid, Case 1 was fun for a first case and Case 2 was pretty fun as well. Just started Case 5, and I hope to finish it before FFXIII comes out, but that seems pretty unlikely.

Also, I've been playing a lot of Uncharted 2 online. Originally, grenades made me rage due to their insane range and killing power but an update just nerfed them, so playing online is fun now!

A few hours into FF13 and all I have to say is "DLC please!!!" I will gladly pay 10 bucks for the Japanese language track. Hell, I'll pay 5 just for the ability to turn off the shit voice acting, especially Vanille's constantly disappearing-reappearing pseudo-Australian accent.

If it does, it's not in any of the menu options I've found. I also have a Japanese PS3, and it automatically configured the buttons "Japanese style" (reversing the X and O functions), but it didn't switch anything else to Japanese as a regional setting thing.

I think the English/Japanese setting was only in the Japanese version?

From another forum: "It was left out. The producers said. "The bluray version on PS3 is capable of holding both audio tracks, however we opted to leave this option out because the 360 version cannot hold the added data of another audio track. We want there to be as little difference between the two as possible so it will not be in either."' "

Loving FFXIII so far, though I haven't been playing all that long. The battle system and story look promising, Lightning and Szah seems like awesome characters, and the graphics are jaw-dropping. Aside from Vanille, I don't find the voice acting all that bad. That's a really lame reason for not including the japanese audio, though.

Agreed! Except I don't really mind Vanille's accent. A Japanese friend I was talking to said something along the lines that it might make sense story-wise for Vanille to have some sort of an accent? Maybe it's on purpose? Then again, her VA is Australian. I dunno. Cute voice without being too ridiculous, which I don't see pulled off well very often by English VA's. I do wish Sazh had a funkier voice, though. Not even in the racist sense. He just looks like he should have a cooler voice.

I thought I would hate Snow, but he's not all that bad.

I do hate Hope, though.

Haven't seen Fang yet, but I hear she's the strongest in the game? My main party will probably end up being Vanille/Fang/Lightning or Sazh.

Also I really hope that the story begins to make sense after a while because I am mostly lost. Aside from the government trying to kill people close to Pulse in order to protect Coccoon or something? Is that correct? I've only played about an hour and a half through the game, though.

Good RPG, but too much of a departure from pretty much every game in the FF series for me. There's not even any classic Nobuo Uematsu themes in it to at least give me some FF nostalgia. Then again, I seem to dislike pretty much every other FF game since 6, and since I liked 12, I guess 13 didn't stand a chance. Well, I did like 9 and hate 10, so that screwed up the pattern but, dammit, the series is called Final FANTASY, so I'm always disappointed with the futuristic magitech settings. And Vanille's design is totally Yaguchi with just a hint of Rika (especially the chin).

Also, the final new character for Super Street Fighter 4 scares the ever-lovin' hell out of me!

At GDC Sony showed some new stuff of their take on motion controls, the Playstation Move.

While I'm fine with them making a better wiimote for their system, that lightbulb on the top is so horribly horribly horribly ugly and an extremely disgusting design choice. I have no idea what they were thinking with not hiding that.

Apparently Eidos/Square-Enix are going to show a new trailer for Deus Ex 3 today. Hopefully it will be fucking awesome and not the dumbed down console-port Deus Ex 2 was.

I like the design. Apparently, the color changes so that it can stand out in the environment (orange if there isn't any orange in the camera's range for example). I like it.

Case 5 in AAI is loooooong. But epic. I've been on the case all week and I'm still not done. Granted, most of my game time has been with FF13, but it's still been awhile. They did a good job connecting all the cases together. My only real complaint so far has been that the game has felt too easy overall... With Phoenix you often had him acting clueless and it was up to you as the player to choose the correct evidence to present, whereas Edgeworth is completely confident he knows the answer and usually gives obvious hints as to what to present. Otherwise, one of the best entries in the series.
