And? Legal does not equal moral. Many people find the trashy objectification of a teenager morally problematic both here AND in Japan. Why is that laughable?
People implying this has anything to do with "child pornography" is why is it laughable. It is far from pornography of any sort and 16 years old is no child, no matter how many hairs you split. I also think its pretty naive to assume this was all against her will. With how many 16 year old girls nowadays are already willfully showing off their bodies on MySpace and god knows where else on the internet today, I don't see it far-fetched that a 16 year old girl would enjoy showing off herself to get attention. She could've surely said no to any of the outfits or poses they were giving to her.
Also: there should be outrage over this anyhow. Are you cool with creepy pedo videos of 8 year olds in bikinis?
Yeah, you got me, I sure am.
If you even VERY sparingly watch idol videos outside of H!P's "bubble" as aine so accurately described it, I think more people here would realize how silly this is. In my eyes, this is all pure entertainment. If someone would actually get truly sexually aroused from something like this, they've got some major problems. Some idol videos do have some great aesthetic qualities that are actually worth a damn instead of just having coy sexual references, and no one can dictate what the true purpose of such a video really is, there really can't be any determination. With any kinds of videos like this, most of the enjoyment just comes from seeing more material from a girl who we like seeing from music videos, concerts, etc. All of TNX's idol videos are just about on par with this one as far as intensity, and some of them even have younger girls than Robin, but I don't watch them so I can jerk off and be obsessed with their nubile bodies, but seeing the girls whose careers I appreciate frolicking around can be fun if it doesn't get all serious and awkward, and a vast majority of these videos really don't get to that point. I'm going to also bet the video itself isn't even half as graphic as the pictures suggest. They always make the packaging of these seem much more intense than the video actually ends up being.
This is an argument that isn't going to go anywhere because everyone saying this is wrong is so emotionally charged by it. I shouldn't have even got into a discussion about such a touchy subject with a group this touchy and untenable <img src='
