I like how they omit MADAYADE. Yeah, it was released on the best-of album, but they usually include those tracks on the next album anyway. That song was horrible anyway. It doesn't fit the other singles on the album.

I was half expecting a Miyabi solo or even a Momoko solo, but we just ended up with 2/3rds of Buono!. I'm interested in the other two unit songs, but I'd be way more excited for a solo. At least UFA is pretty equal when it comes to Berryz. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />

"MADAYADE" needs to be on there. That song was the shit.

Momo/Miya duet might be interesting. But I really really wanted just a Miya solo. :c

Ground Demo Rouka Demo Medatsu Kimi / Sudo Maasa, Kumai Yurina

That is not going to sound very pleasant.

I agree.

Yakimochi wo Kudasai! / Shimizu Saki, Tokunaga Chinami, Sugaya Risako

This might sound good though.

I wish it had been Saki, Maasa, Yurina and then a Chinami and Risako duet.

I would be totally happy if Saki had just been in the other group.

I wanted more Yurina/Maasa/Chii trio songs. Omoitattara Kichi Desse=love.

I can't wait to hear all these, though! I'm a BIT disappointed with the Miyabi/Momoko duet because, as previously mentioned, that's two thirds of Buono. But it'll probably sound good, so...

I haven't been keeping up with Berryz in a long time, but I've been patiently waiting to finally get a copy of Dakishimete. The minute I saw this thread, that song got stuck in my head...

Dakishimete, daki - shi - me- teeeeeee.

It feels like a millions years since Berryz has really "done" something. I'm looking forward to Ai ni wa Ai Desho - Tsugunaga Momoko, Natsuyaki Miyabi. The two seem to be the only ones on tune ever, even though Momoko has that, um, distinctive voice.

It feels this album won't be as good as the previous ones but I hope I'm wrong. I was hoping for a Risako/Miyabi duo and for Momoko to be in that trio. That title, at least, makes it sound like a crazy song... So Momoko...

No you were right, here is the radio preview for Kimi no Tomodachi. It's a short radio preview but I can already tell that I don't particularly like this song. It's another ballad and the instrumental seems weak and empty I think. And now as I'm writing this I can't remember quite how the song went either.

Wow, really, H!P? 5 fucking new songs? Keeps getting to be more and more slim pickins. I don't think I even ever listened to their previous album, but the 4th one was fantastic. Don't know if I'll care enough to download this unless I hear good things or it gets PVs or something.

That bow on Miyabi's head is ridiculous. They all have big hats/bows, but hers is out of control.

Yes, although Chinami's caught my eyes first, Miyabi's is worse... What's up with bows and H!P? I mean, I think they used to agree with Nono and Mari but not with anyone in Berryz. And those covers keep on reminding me of Madayade because of the colors of their clothes.

I'm glad "Ryuusei Boy" is on this album. I only heard it for the first time when I watched the PV for it yesterday on the recent BK Single Clips 4 DVD. Best new song from BK since...oh, I dunno, "Dakishimete, Dakishimete"? Actually, it's probably better than that. At least catchier.

NINKI album poll says seventh place with 20...points? Slash's album has just 22 so they are not far. That poll is not trustworthy as the ranks are never right but the result is always around that plus the albums from the previous week. So they'll probably make it into the top ten.

Also, Kimi no Tomodachi full preview, though I couldn't listen until the end to make sure it is full (I don't really like previews). Sounds like a °C-ute song to me, no pun intended. Talking about previews, the album will be out anytime now and Kimi no Tomodachi was the only one I could find. It's strange...

I think someone got themselves an advanced copy. I'm downloading 6th Otakebi right now...

Will offer a review in a minute.

My review of the new songs, cross-posted from Yo!Pro.

Yakimochi: I'm listening, but I really want to stop. It's boring. Vocals are OK, but not at all enough to save this. I'm listening and just keep getting more and more bored.

Ai ni wa Ai Desho: I kind of like it... I still hate that they put Miya and Momo together; you get enough of that with Buono. The song's OK, but not really catchy. It's nice, but. Nothing special at all. I like it better than Yakimochi, but it's definitely not convincing me to buy the song or the album.

Kimi no Tomodachi: I kind of like it, but it's nothing special. The chorus is pretty nice, but the rest of the song's pretty good. I don't know how I feel about the monologue, though.

Grand Demo: I like this a lot better than the previous songs! It's pretty solid and catchy. Depending on Kibou no Yoru, this could be my favorite song on the new album. Based on personal preference I really wish this'd be Yurina/Maasa/Chinami if only to channel some of that Omoitattara Kichi Desse, but this is good too.

Kibou no Yoru: It's... alright. It just feels really generic. That's how the rest of the album except possibly Grand Demo feels.

Consensus: I shall not be buying this at all; maybe the MP3 to Grand Demo, but. Nothing's really that interesting. Nothing sucks, but nothing's great, if that makes sense. It's very middle of the road for me. Nothing pops out like "WOAH I LIKE THAT" like what happened recently with Moonlight Night, Namidacchi and Osaka Oshiinen.

This album is basically a "Bite Me!" to anyone who bought the last three Berryz Singles. This is about as bad as Morning Musume's 6th album but minus the remixes (which would have been welcome considering the amount of single tracks!). At least Morning Musume had the foresight to add a poster to soften the blow of the tearful dangerous ass. :<

I hope C-ute doesn't fall into the pit of the vile 6th album curse, but then again C-ute been bottom feeding Tsunku's crap pile ever since Kanna left so I have little hope for them at this point in time.

They still can be proud of their umm.. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

double karaoke tracks <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hahaha:' />

Eh, the album tracks are ok. Ai ni wa Ai Desho & Kimi no Tomodachi are tracks that I would probably still enjoy in a few months. I actually like all of the included singles a lot, surprisingly. Twe'lv could have done Rival better and Gatas should have had Ryuusei Boy, but it's fine.

The 1st 7 seconds of Yakimochi could have led to something really cool, but management had other plans, and cool wouldn't fit into their schedule that week.

Brilhante, you mean?

I never thought about it either. It is perfect...

I haven't listened to much of the CD since I downloaded it. I've been too busy noshing on all the Melon Kinenbi I got. I kinda like "Yakimochi" though. It Yamashita Tosohisa's "Crush" meets "Taking Care of Business." XD

But the album is pretty dissapointing, especially after how FUCKING AMAZING Otakebi Boy/Tomodachi was.

My thoughts exactly.

It's from the greatness of Otakebi to... average. I had expected better from Berryz after their latest single, but I was apparently expecting too much.
