I'm not really sure what the general consensus on Reina is around here, but I thought I should post this anyway, since she's somewhat making waves in the rankings. As of today:

#9 Overall



That, and she updates faster than you can blink. Not as many heart attack-inducing cute pictures like Sayu's blog, but she does write about the other members a lot.

She didn't post much on the Kaito Reinya blog until recently (end of march), I think. It was mostly staff posting stuff about the anime in the beginning. Look at the number of posts each month since november.



She said she'll keep posting for both blogs but isn't quite sure yet what to post in which blog.

Reina is now #3. There's been a definitive wall between the top 3 blogs on Ameba (Momo, Maeda Atsuko, Hokuto Akira) and the blogs 4th place and underneath which shuffle around a lot, so this is preeetty big. One more rank and she'll be ahead of AKB48's golden gorilla.

Anyhow. Part of the way to get ranked #1 is to get people constantly visiting your site, right? I think thats why she updates like 500000x a day and has just short bursts of actual things to say or pictures. So, I don't necessarily think that secretly MM is "sooo popular" and that is why she's ranked #1. It is because her die-hard fans will refresh the page 20x a day to catch new pictures of her being cute.



By the way, all of the celeb blogs are like this so I'm not criticizing Reina. As a system though, I don't get how a million updates across a million identical idol blogs basically cover the same stuff in 99% of the posts: what food you ate and how cute you are in this new cell phone pic. Aren't there any substantive blogs out there (aside from Sayumi and her funniness)?
