This morning I actually read through the comments on that site. On the bright side, a lot of the commenters claimed they went out and bought Maki's album.

Mm-bbs isn't a news site or a public blog so I don't understand the logic of "quoting" essentially a forum thread. There is a big difference, imo, in quoting from, say, an online magazine (open, public oriented) and cutting and pasting someone's email exchange (private, member-based). But maybe forums occupy that ambiguous middle ground.

Actually, the body BG on all the themes are light enough to be near-transparent. Midnight Scarlet even has a white body BG! You can kind of see the text on the pastel ones if you tilt your flat panel monitor.

Actually, this makes me happy in some way, seeing that the BBS is again a source of original content that's being quoted/referred to/stolen/whatever, as we have discussed in that other thread. Wow, I had no idea what Maki was up to lately, or that her mom had passed. Pretty accurate thread title, that's one hell of a sad life for a pop idol, indeed. I guess that sense of duty to her family led to that sort of detached attitude that so many of us found appealing and unique (by MM standards), but it's a shame she's been working for so long with so much on her shoulders. Thanks for doing this Eri!
