I don't think the theory is dead. One song would be Aika, the other would be led by that foreigner named JunLin. I'm hoping "I'm lucky girl" is the foreigners' song. Not because the number of the noun "girl" would be wrong, but because singing about being lucky while being shipped off to Jang Dayun's cellar with Ice Creamusume would be amusing. (I think I've already attempted this unfunny joke a month or so ago.)
I could care less about JunJun or LinLin. I like them, but they're almost old news anyways.
You're right, they should get rid of "Itoshiku Kurushii kono Yoru ni" as well.

It's kind of obvious Eri is more important than them, the way UFA is treating their graduations. I mean look at the grad merch, there's Eri's all nice and graceful wearing a beautiful nice outfit in her photosets and having her own grad DVD, then there's JunLin who are once again lumped together and have the crappier photos where they are once again wearing Kimonos showing "Hey we're the Chinese girls who came to Japan! We wear traditional Japanese things! :DDD" And they share their Grad DVD.

So no, lets not get rid of Itoshiku Kurushii Kono Yoru Ni, and have JunLin share a song, just like they always have done since they've been in the group.

While, we're at it, lets just get rid of the entire album and torch the princess dresses.

Why? Why would you want this? Why should Eri be favoured even more than she already has been? I don't understand the logic behind your suggestion.

Duh, because Eri's more popular and has been a member far longer.

Also, The Pandas are just collateral since we all know how racist Eri is now. Tsunku was all, "Since you're graduating, do you want us to do anything special?" And Eri was like, "Yeah, get rid of those chinks." She then used her significant industry pull to make sure no Korean acts made it into the Kohaku.

It's not like I want i, it's just truth. JunJun and LinLin are not significant to UFA, while Eri is.

Well, yeah, but I didn't mean that. I was asking why BonkyuAsh seemed to be suggesting it as though it would be the best idea. Obviously she wasn't doing that, so whatevs.

No one in 8th gen gets a solo song. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/geof.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> (that's to fans, from UFA)

On the bright side, Denwa de ne is AKIRA arranged (and Takahashi vocaled)

Should have checked Towersooner...

Tanaka's solo is by Tanaka the arranger. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':bounce:' /> Is it erotic Maki style?

They ended the joke with Takahashi's song, since Takahashi the arranger gets the Birthday song instead.

What the hell????? Okubo is capable of Fantasy ga Hajimaru and AiRisaReShigeEri Koto wa Nai no yo, yet, the single track we get from him is Seishun Collection?

Are you basing that on new information, or just because of Tower? They aren't credited with solos, but there is still a small chance that they will lead the song.

And I don't think we can judge Okubo on just one song... he's done other things (like Seishun Collection part 1, Genki Pika Pika!)

Of course they'll be featured, I was kidding.

Technically, I'm not judging Okubo on one song, I'm judging him on the same song released twice. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':bounce:' />

Speaking of the same song, (you already know this) but it's hilarious that when this is all done, there will be 21 different Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game PVs.

1. 女と男のララバイゲーム

2. 女と男のララバイゲーム (Another Dance Shot Ver.)

3.DVD A (Black Dance Shot Ver.)

4.DVD B (Close-up Ver.)

5.DVD C (White Dance Shot Ver.)

+8 Solo Album Ver.

+8 Event V (Solo Ver.)

So each grad leaves you with 7 PVs to remember them. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

How is this even possible? Is it just the black and white dance shots mixed together? Some shots where they messed up that didn't make it into the actual PV?

In the full PV, they had two different white background dance shots, didn't they? They had the one with the pink sky. And they had the one with the geometric shapes.

Oh, apparently they've been out. Who knew. I guess that makes sense considering the release date. I should pay more attention to the same PV released 80 times. Another and White.

Since I had kept away from previews, I finally have heard "Fantasy ga Hajimaru". I'm so happy they gave up on Sayu's singing and now have specifically built an entire song around this fact after the successful trial-run in the last album. This and "Itoshiku" are the standouts for me. I love the music in Eri's song.

"Onnagokoro" is two minutes too long but is obviously a good song for Risa. "Ichi kara" seems like nothing special, group songs should be better than this. Ai's solo song starts off interesting, but in the end it's an Ai solo. There's an interesting bit in the middle.

I loved albums 9 and 10. I guess in the end I'll say that this is a good collection of youthful songs, but it is no standout album. I'm not knocking the vocal performances, but I'd love to listen to an instrumental version of this album straight through. All 11 songs establish themselves with a distinctive sound from their first 5 seconds. There's something interesting going on in each one, and "I'm lucky girl" has that cool retro music interlude between verses.

Very brief track-by-track based on my first impressions of the full album:

Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game (AL ver.)

The greatest asset of this song is the fairly awesome main melody line, so the extended intro does this song justice. It's never going to be remembered as one of Morning Musume's greatest singles, but it's got a distinct sound that sets it apart from other MM singles of late.

BRAVO!

Buono-style pop rock with an electronic twist. The vocal melody isn't instantly catchy, but this song's instrumentals and production make it memorable. I love the pumped-up drums.

Fantasy ga Hajimaru

This is the best thing on the entire album. The electropop production is gorgeous, and so is Sayu.

Onna Gokoro to Nanto Yara

Loved it when I first heard it, still love it. Again, they've really outdone themselves on the production, giving it a really distinctive sound. I'd love to hear a full instrumental version of this so I could hear all the little bleeps, bloops and squeaks more clearly. Definitely a highlight.

Ai no Honoo

Somewhat R'n'B-ish song with piano and guitar. It's fairly generic, but not outright bad, and I'm not sure I like Reina's high-pitched whinnying here, particularly as the song seems to be trying to sound "mature." Probably one of the biggest misfires on the album.

I'm Lucky Girl

I love shit like this. It's totally OTT electro-rock complete with robotic vocal effects woven into the main melody line and a guitar solo before the final chorus, which makes it well-placed after the relatively slow-moving Ai no Honoo.

Sungoi My Birthday

Chulululu. Chulululu. Chulululu. This is the album's token cutesy song, and it actually works pretty damn well. The chorus is excellent, and there's also a great instrumental break before the last refrain.

1 kara 10 made Aishite Hoshii

Not their greatest group song on its own, bland and stifling in the context of this album.

Itoshiki Kurushi Kono Yoru ni

A more-than-satisfying send-off for Eri. Big, sweeping synths! Echoey pianos! I can't tell if I'm in an '80s sci-fi or a cyberpunk anime. Definitely one of the album's high points.

Denwa de ne

Ai surprised me by not being totally boring, but to be fair, it's the instrumental I like here. The synths are textured and interesting, even if the vocal is dull.

Seishun Collection

I've damned this song with faint praise in the past, and I hold to that, but it's a decent closer for the album.

Overall, I agree with Em-El in that the strongest aspect of the album as a whole is how distinct each song is, in terms of instrumentals and production. It's not the best album the group's ever released, but it's consistent and cohesive, which can't be said for all of their LPs.

If you listen to the album version of Onna to Otoko, there's also a longer break between verses in some cases.

I was thinking I was hearing things or maybe my computer was going wonky and had froze, but it's really noticeable on this line:

Ah mata amaeteru

Sou wakatteru

Hoshii mono nara

[Tak/Ka/Tan/Jun] Katte ageru

Demo ne watashi ni mo

Kinenbi toka

Suteki na no wo

[Tak/Ni/Tan/Lin] Katte choudai

It's something like...

Katte ageru...........................................................................

................................................................................

.

................................................................................

.

...........................................................................

DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMMMMMMMMMMMO NE

I laugh every time.

I haven't listened too much to the album, but it's...okay.

Also Em, those dance shots came with...oh, let me make sure I can get this right.

I think they came out with the Limiteds, but which ones I can't remember.

Got my copy today, and while I haven't had a chance to listen yet, the DVD it comes with has "Solo Album Versions" for each member of Otoko to Boring Blahblahblah, as well as the making of the album jacket/booklet and the graduation announcement MC (along with some salt and lemon juice to rub into it).

And 3rd Love Paradise was when it started to get good for MM albums.

Weakest album in the whole bunch. It was like Tsunku wasn't even trying. Aisha Loan de and DANCE Suru no da! were the only salvageable songs on that album.

The 6th had 3 good ones. EDIT: 5

And the 8th was meh...EDIT: I never really listened to it, but the songs I have heard from it are okay...
