If they take some interesting and funny 15~17 years old of the same character as JunLin, then that could certainly make me interested in MM more again.

This audition is a fucking mistake to begin with. Hell, even the group said they liked being all older, but nowadays in Japan you gotta go all the way back to elementary school to find a girl that doesn't have at least one sex tape/scandal under her belt.

I thought it was a mistake to add Koharu in the sense that, she was much younger (maturity wise) than everyone else. They need some age-diversity and Mitsui doesn't count cause she's a grandma. They should add 3 girls of varying ages. I don't want 3 12 year olds but look at this:

Ai = 24

Risa = 22

Sayu = 21

Reina = 21

Aika = 17 (but 35 in spirit)

(Kamei = 21; Linlin = 19; Junjun = 22)



Adding a 12 year old, a 15 year old, and a 19 year old would round them out.

MM could have been the "mature" group, since they've got Berryz as the young college aged ones, C-ute as the high school aged ones, and S-mileage in the junior high range. A wide range of ages would be fine, but tossing in a member half the age of everyone but Aika is just fucked up.



And yeah, Bijo Gaku is the show for getting to know the girls. I couldn't give a damn about S-mileage until I saw all they went through on BG. Hell, it gives far more time to C-ute and Berryz members than HM/@ ever did. Except for that fucking boring ass Mano palm reading segment. At least have her do it in a bikini or something.

You know...I kind of forgot how varied and interactive H!P is. That is very true - we don't really need younger girls in morning musume after all. Hmm.



I am surprised at how much I like Bijo Gaku. I dl'd a bunch off H!O and forgot about them until recently. Mano can't help it if she's boring because they are really sticking to the good-boring-girl image for her. And if it is boring, just mute and admire her cuteness for a few minutes.

I'm looking forward to how the auditions play out. From the part that they showed there are still almost 1000 girls in the running (according to a staff tweet) so they only showed a small fraction. Way too early to comment. Personally I'm hoping for 4-6 members in the 13-18 age range.

Eh, if they insist on keeping the group around, then it's definitely time for new blood. This lineup is just long-in-tooth and rather boring for the most part. These auditions could be a good thing, but likely won't be. If they were to add a few cute girls in their mid teens with actual personality and talent, it would at least give the group a fighting chance. But that shit ain't gonna happen, and we all know it. I'm prepared for an eleven year old and a 13 year old, and a statement from Tsunku about how they are the most qualified candidates to ever be selected for Morning Musume.

But, yes, Bijo Gaku is a bit too short for the amount of members they want to focus on, so we barely get to see members for weeks and weeks (and also wasting too much time reading palms).
