Playing Pokemon Black -- can you believe it's already been translated into English? o_O;; well about 90% so far, the patch is working great.

Also playing Super Scribblenauts. While I found the original tedious and boring, this one is a much fresher take and much more fun.

Finished New Vegas with Yes-Man. I decently enjoyed the endgame, though Legate was fucking difficult and why did I go that way anyway? Also, the whole fog-clears-army-of-Securitrons thing was not as show-stopping as it was planned to be. I looked on the Fallout wiki and saw the other ending possibilities and I was really disappointed with some of my choices. Pook Raul T_T Poor Jacobstown T_T Poor The Strip T_T I would have liked to see ending variants for smaller characters (like Punk in Red Rock~ :uguu:). I'm contemplating doing a quick run on hardcore and try to be a pacifist, but I don't know. Starting over/losing progress really kills the vibe for me and the endgame is pretty intense to jump back just to keep doing side quests. Though, I'd like to see some of the Wild West encounters... :decisionsdecisions:

I'm also contemplating whipping out GTAIV again just to muck around again, but my graphics card is getting so finicky lately.

I want a PtripleS3 inb4 no gaems so I don't have to deal with graphics cards and save space!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. the TV Series? Hell yeah!

Now we only need prolific SF writer (Glukhovsky? hah) to whip up a novelization of that and the history will have turned a whole circle.

Just clocked 30 hours in FFIV on DS. Will probably finish at around 50 hours. I'm far from closely following or caring for the newest and highest budget blockbuster games, but do they really only have 4-6 hours (maybe 10 for non-FPS) of single player gameplay? Fuck this shit.

EDIT: The Witcher 2 Collector's Edition contents got leaked. Sweet stuff.

Just finished it myself, same ending ! lol

Was Raul also your companion ?

I didn't have to fight Legate at the end, thanks to my awesome speaking skills. (I drove him off to the east again)

I actually helped Jacobstown. hah

I've never met Punk from Red Rock I think.

The weird thing is I actually completed the quest "You and What Army ?", but the narrator still said Anarchy ruled the streets. in the ending.

I liked my ending, though I clearly forgot a few things. (luckily I made several saves prior to critical points in the story)

Took me a around 52h to finish and I'm at lvl30 now.

I'm definitely going to check out one or two more endings and visit a few more spots. (especially in the south)

Also, I recommend to install a mod for more levels, makes killing etc. just a bit more fun.

I had gotten Raul only a few hours before I started the endgame, so I never did his personal quest. Ha, I actually fought Legate twice because in my fight, when I killed him, I was already with my back to the gate that explodes and I didn't know about possibly a second fight, so I didn't max my speech, got shot, and died T_T.

If you're a fan of the original STALKER, avoid Clear Skies, as it is terrible. If you're not a fan of the original STALKER, go kill yourself right now cause you obviously have no value.

In other news, playing Zettai Hero Project! First somewhat worthwhile PSP game to come out in a long time, very funny so far, and it's a Nippon Ichi game so that means there are about a billion things to customize and it has a bizarre endless replayability. Also Japanese voices are a nice touch! If you have a PSP you should buy it (if you don't, I don't quite think it's worth getting one just for this game).

I liked CS more than SoC. I liked the factions and just how CS is so big.

However, I love all three Stalker games really much, so this does in no way mean I don't idolize the first Stalker game too.

Anybody here played (and liked) Arkham Asylum ?

I bought the GOTY edition on Steam recently for 10€ and played about 2h so far, but somehow I don't see why it gets that much praise.

It really looks good and I like the voice acting of course, but somehow so far it just didn't click with me so far.

The game hasn't really opened up yet (if it ever does) and I only had one fight were I didn't have to just button-mash the enemies in front of me.

EDIT:

Nevermind... 5 minutes later I got to the point where I was able to walk around the asylum freely.

I finally beat the challenge mode of Lumines today. In the process, I've become a Lumines master and have accepted Shinichi Osawa into my heart as the One True Savior©® Fucking love that man.

I did start my hardcore run of New Vegas and I've been on and off with it. I decided to not try to go pacifist. Probably gonna play NCR.

Also been loving Angry Birds on my Android-powered phone. Not a fan of the obtrusive ads, though I'm cool with the in-game banners. Kind of excited for Angry Pigs.

Yes, it is intense! The translation is great outside of a few grammatical errors and the music is perfect!

After a couple of days of intense playing I got all the endings. Sucks that I figured out the true path on my second playthrough and had to figure out how to get the bad endings before I could get the true ending. EFF YOU SAFE ENDING! ;_; It was great how it tied in at the end though! At least the coffin ending had hints for the safe ending.

If you haven't beaten it yet, I recommend keeping a sheet of paper with the solutions for numerical problems written on them, especially the longer puzzles and/or puzzles that require multiple calculations or specific ones like digital roots. Unless you look up the routes you're going to be running through the game several times and it makes it easier/less time consuming. Plus if you have a poor memory like me, it makes it easier. The safe ending (you'll know this ending when you get it) ties into the true ending, and there is a specific button combo you need to recall for the true end, so if you don't play them back to back I'd make note of that too.

And CURSE YOU EASY PUZZLES OF OBVIOUSNESS. Specifically that bloody 14=E, the bookshelf of "i bet i has to do this later with the stuffs in the bottom and spend forever looking for something gained by solving that puzzle", and the slot puzzle in the casino. I hate how long I messed with those things when the solution was the obvious choice. "Oh no, it can't be that easy!" There were a couple of other puzzles I hated too, specifically the last one (because I hate that type of puzzle and by then I just wanted the game to end so I cheated and looked up a solver online hahahaha) and the other true end puzzles. I did several sets by sheer luck, i.e. plug random numbers in, BAM CORRECT! OH YEAH! Maybe I just accessed the field of other players...Guess that makes me a receiver

And I hate the room 4 route because I played it so many times. At least you can ignore a couple of steps in the first room on subsequent playthroughs.

Great game though. Best text adventure game on the DS outside of Ace Attorney series. I think I'll try and track down Ever17, I think it's by the same writer? Too bad the company that made it shut down (like any visual novel company can succeed in the US lulz plus I don't think it has porn doublelulz) so I'll have to do the illegal route.

like, don't read unless you've beaten the true ending cuz then you'll be ruined

I really liked how the end it's revealed that bottom screen=Akane (And further, zero=akane) and how she tends to get a fever when a bad ending is coming up. The ALL-ICE thing was weird and I'm not really sure how it all ties into the story. It's like, here's a bunch of text on something and nothing comes of it (outside of an buttshot at the end)! Lotus wasn't really needed outside of her bracelet, boobs, and planting one idea. How lame. Ace was annoying before I found out his true identity and afterward I wanted to have a "kill the bastard" choice. F the high road! He was an asshole! You should've BURNED HIM ALIVEEEEEEEE! The submarine ending didn't make a ton of sense either. Was Seven in on it also? I thought that smirk implied at the end that he knew it all along, but how the hell did he fake the amnesia? It seemed genuine though I suppose the epiphanies were timed a little too well.

So far I've gotten the safe ending, and the knife ending. Now I'm following a spoiler-free walkthrough that tells you the rooms to go through to get each ending. I'm trying to get the submarine ending now, which is hilarious because to do so you have to leave half the gang to die and go through room 3, and they all hate you until you find them again XD

I used to have a Wii in the long ago times when it seemed promising, but only had a few worthwhile games. It seemed like it wasn't living up to that promise, so I stupidly sold it just before it did. I just bought a new one! They are much cheaper now and come with more extra stuff. Mine is red and includes New Super Mario Bros. Also Wii Sports Resort, but that one's not as interesting to me.

I am also playing Pokemon White on DS. No translation patch, but Internet walkthroughs help.

Oh man, I loved that ending. I dubbed it the asshole route. Door 3: "Come here and place your hand." "WHATCHOO GONNA DO????" "Oh, I'm just testing something....jk jk, race to this before you die. Srsly, you better run." Ice cold hahahaha. Mine was so much better because I went through door 5 instead of four, establishing myself as an asshole from the very beginning. Actually I can't remember if you need to go through door 5 to get that ending, but whatevs, I still laughed. General thoughts of that ending: The sub was weird compared to the others and the only one that I feel is weak. Why is the sub there? If they needed to find door 9 to escape then why would an alternate route exist? It's like, oh hey guys we found a sub let's go yay! and the bracelets would've shut off once they left...

Yeah, the sub ending was pretty grim.

So there are apparently 6 endings:

1 - Axe? (I haven't gotten this one)

2 - Coffin (apparently this is a preview of the "true" ending.

3 - Submarine (got this one)

4 - Knife (got this one)

5 - "Safe" (safe my ass)

6 - (haven't gotten this one)

So I do want to get the axe ending, but I'm getting annoyed with the puzzles. At least you can fastforward through the text you've already read!

2 - it's not a preview so much as it's incomplete. You can't solve a key puzzle without the safe ending. Since you have that one already, if you haven't gotten the coffin one you'll get it once you beat the true ending.

"Safe my ass" lolololol

And the Axe ending is great. My favorite bad ending, lolol.

Yes, repeating the puzzles is the most annoying thing from replays. And they won't let you plug in solutions unless you go through each.and.every.step.aaaarrrrggghhhhhh

Began playing Cladun: This is an RPG, a contemporary classic dungeon-type game. It's a random dungeon game with half of a story and pre-made dungeons also. There's great character creation tools and a neat "fame" system. If you like 8-bit hack'n'slashes, check it out for PSP.

Also, just started playing Pangya online. Should scratch my itch for new Hot Shots. It won't, but I'm just delusional enough to think it will.

I really like how they've made the quests more epic and story based, but I fail to see why it's only 5 levels instead of 10 since it took all of 12 hours of play time to reach 85, and they established the pattern of "new ability one level, skill point the next level," then proceed to give you both for 81-85.

While it's cool to finally have the X-Men arcade game on a console, it IS one of those games where the challenge is pretty much gone now that you don't need to keep feeding quarters into the machine.

Yeah, I was debating on whether to get it or not. then again, you'd probably end up feeding 10 bucks into the arcade machine to beat it once, so it's practically a bargain! Also, I'm kind of interested in seeing the Japanese remix mode.

[quote name='tangerinetrees' post='89282' date='Dec 16 2010, 06:10 PM']I'm playing Yume Nikki.

I've already finished it too many times but it's my favorite game, so I still play it. :M

Oh and... it's disturbing.
