However, in this case you are right, it does mean plant a tree ! I'm not sure about ともいき though. (because it can also mean a dozen things... oh Japan, you and your use of Hiragana instead of Kanji to make things harder to understand for people who are not native speakers)

I always was under the impression that she did them because she wanted to. At least all of her interviews after her UFA time pointed into that direction.

I like her new blog a lot better than her old one. It's nice and colorful (and easy to navigate).





As an aside, I was looking through my old links and reloled at the "Favorite members chart" the banannas put up last October [full of questions asked off current MBKS like "create your own unit" and "if you were a boy, who would you want as your girlfriend"]. Just saw all the scans of Aika's photobook. The ocean shots can't have been fun in December, but other than that, she looks pretty amazing throughout the entire thing, with the exception of a few awkward schoolgirl shots. Kudos to whoever took and chose the pictures. Even her chin looks nice! Hopefully it does well enough for her to get another one in the future.
