I love Kanon, she's so endearing and adorable. Erina forgot to smile during the song while she was dancing, but they all seemed to do pretty well for their very first performance. I feel like the people that went to the first event got cheated though, the second event has the whole group and a song xD

The first event was just a 9th gen introduction kind thing.

Morning Labo, the second event is focused on all of the girls.

What I don't get is how the dance to Tomo was so hard for Kanon to learn, if she's having trouble with that, I'm sure all the other dances are killing her, poor girl. I wonder how the solo lines went someone must have been left out or something.

Kanon is the only one with no dance experience. If you've never tried to memorize something with your body like that, it can be hard at first no matter what the dance. Once she's had time just practicing dance in general, it'll get easier for her to learn and memorize the moves and loosen up some. I'm sure she will, they'll probably drill everything into her. She is what the concept of morning musume is, a regular girl becoming an idol, and that is really cool. It just boggles my mind though because Tomo looks ridiculously easy.

Bijo Gaku is consistent with the green, orange, red, blue for each girl, so I'm gonna guess that these will be approximately their colors. (of course, they throw the colorcode system out the window when the old girls speak, so maybe not)



They look like they're playing orphans in the Tomo performance, except Reina.

I think it's the washed out colors and the strange fit of the pants on Taka & Risa. Her hat isn't helping either.

Kanon did not sound as bad as I expected even though I could sworn she was god awful around auditions. She sounds a bit older than 12 but she still needs a ton of work. Erina seems to just be yelling into her mic. Riho started out strong but was getting tired about halfway through. She's more stable than the other two but still needs work in the actual singing area. Mizuki is by far the best singer but she also got tired near the end.



I can't wait to see how they pull of singing and dancing at the same time.

Fuku-chan sounds tired! But I already know she can sing fine...Eripon does sound like she's just shouting into her mike, Riho is okay, she had some nice notes too but they're not very frequent, and Zukki.....ahhh...just sounds bad....

Honestly, almost any H!P girl can sound horrible in the form of a concert mic recording. Do you think those past girls sounded any better live when they were only 2 months into Morning Musume? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hahaha:' /> It's a bit unfair to compare 2 months of horrible to a decade of weak singing. I think these new girls all have more potential.

lol to be fair there's some mic rips of Koharu from 2009 where she barely sounds better than they do. The other girls don't sound too bad in the form of mic rips. The ones I've heard anyway.

That's a great point. A girl may not get any solo lines for years (at least under the Takahashi Administration), but they are expected to move around on stage competently. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... R#>/XD.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':XD:' />

Mizuki and Riho have best voices of the generation. Erina reminds me of LinLin when she was brought in the group. I don't think she'll be as good as her though. Kanon to me sounds like Sayumi + JunJun hybrid. They're all going to get better.
