It reminds me of their crazy fun sushi single, -but- I don't listen to S/Mileage on a regular basis. First four solos go to the cookies?! Holy pushing lolis batman! I need to see the covers before I decide who to devote my $20 to. :)

A is Mizuki's, B is Erina's, C is Riho's and D is Kanon's. D is my favorite. A could have been a lot better.

Riho and Mizuki are awesomeness. Erina strikes me more as a ballad singer and better suited to softer songs. Kanon is a miserable pile of fail.

I like cover D best, but I'll be buying A or C. At first Fuku-chan was my favorite because Riho had that <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/smug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smug:' /> stand off-ish thing going on, but she doesn't seem that way anymore, so now I'm liking her even more than Fuku-chan, who is just kinda a bit boring to me even though I like her...I think I'm gonna get Type C.

Oh well. Mizuki at least sounds great without all the extra studio work.



And ouch for Koharu; she really had to stink like royal dog poo to sound so gawd-awful after all that processing.

You would have thought, considering they were devoting part of a DVD to the member that the Limited A - D would feature said member a LITTLE more. Limited A looks like it'll feature Riho since she's dead center but in fact it will feature Mizuki, Limited B looks like the Reina Show with side guests coming photo-shopped off her backside. Limited C and D are probably my favorite followed by the Regular edition. If the PV sucks Tsunku's monkey ballz I might just go with the Regular edition for purchase. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... stling.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' /> Thanks for crappy covers UFA.

I remember a lot of people saying that about Sayumi when she first joined, couldn't sing, couldn't dance, hell her personality wasn't interesting or funny... but sometimes in the idol world that is what makes things interesting, to see how much they improve from the start to the graduation.



Obviously Kanon has a lot of work to do on dancing and singing but from reading blogs and watching bijo gaku you can tell that she is obviously funny and an interesting personality, her audition wasn't even her singing, she did a comedy sketch!



I rooted for Sayumi during 6th generation, I rooted for JunJun during 8th generation and now I'm going for Kanon of this 9th generation!

Sayu had looks and personality from the beginning though. All Kanon has is being a spaz.



I really hope she does have some miraculous Konno-like transformation where she becomes an awesome member of the group, but right now she's got nothing to bring the group on stage.

Great! This was a very interesting episode of Bijo Gaku. So excited to hear all of them sing more. Rankings of voices... Mizuki, Riho, Kanon, Erina (ewwww Erina's voice is awfullllll). And aww, I feel bad that Kanon struggles with the rhythm/tempo.. that's always my weakest when I sing <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/meh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' />



Well... they all sounded pretty solid in the final recording. That's a relief.



Oh and mark my words: Mizuki will be the perfect replacement for Ai.

This was a great episode! I've enjoyed a majority of what I've seen on Bijo Gaku so far, and I don't know why people complain about it. Just try being a fan of the new generation Disney-branded idols. It would be a Godsend for any of them to have a show like this. They get basically zero behind-the-scenes documentation, and their interview segments on shows (if any) are usually quite limited. We're just a bit spoiled, in having been there when H!P used to get the full-blown media exposure and numerous full-length shows. While I miss that, quite a bit, I still don't mind what we have now.



As for this specific episode: Riho is still too damned adorable, despite the painfulness of trying to hit those high notes. Mizuki seems to be doing the best in terms of vocals, and she sounded great! Not that they all didn't sound pretty spiffy in the final version played near the end. Either they recorded a ton more takes than what we got to see, or studio magic really does work wonders. I have high hopes for this single, and hearing it in that sort of quality is still better to me than the (albeit longer) radio preview that is up.

Feh, go back and watch Sayu at the beginning. You can see who she is now even back then. The giant mirror during the audition, vaguely snarky comments even when she was still camera shy. It just took them a while to relize that's what made her great.

Me too.
