Was kind of hoping never to see The Manpower show up at another concert because it sounds kind of awful live. Fantasy and Lucky Girl were two of my favorite album songs though, and I'm glad they made it. I knew Suki na Senpai was going to show up, but I was praying that it wouldn't. I hated Sungoi my Birthday, but since it has Aika AND Kanon in it I will damn well try to enjoy it when I see it. Rainbow Pink is also going to be very interesting. Moonlight Night's solo dances don't make me excited, if only because jpop dances are always kind of... meh and simple and none of them are really 'dancers'. I suppose Riho is, but she's only 12 so I guess I'm not expecting much? It also doesn't feel like a song you'd perform in the middle of a concert. I like that Dekkai is back, it's a nice group song.
And Rainbow Pink... that's going to be interesting.

There's also an entire fan-recording of the concert up, if anyone wants to listen to it. Just know that there are very excited Reina and Aika fans present. I'm listening to it and it sounds like all of 9th gen are singing live this time around.
Sayumi sounds nice during Fantasy. Everyone does, actually. I can't wait to see it live.
The Manpower! sounds awful and is full of obnoxious grunting, as lives always are. You can hear 9th gen singing together during the verses, though. Someone has deemed Aika worthy of lines by the sounds of it.
Onna Gokoro to Nanto Yara - Risa sounds great. There is someone who sounds really nasally, though. I think it's Reina. I think Eri's lines just went to Risa.

Erina sounds alright in the beginning but starts slipping about halfway through. Riho goes back and forth from terrible to okay. Not much to say about Kanon except I think she's going to have a voice like Risa's in the future. I'm also pretty sure she's just shouting into her mic because she sounds kind of excited. Overall though, they do sound nice together.
Resonant Blue - Can't tell who sings with Risa now that Eri is gone, but this song hardly sounds different. If 9th gen are here, watching them dance to this will be entertaining. It's not the full song, though.

OOLG - Am I the only one who thinks that pause before Ai says dakedo is insanely long? It does have a really cool instrumental break, though. Is that there in the original?

Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago～Tsuugaku Ressha - Sounds about as well as you can expect it to with just Sayumi singing, but since it's slower she doesn't sound too horrid. It's really only the first line of Namida before moving into Tsuugaku. There's a really long pause after this (I heard something happened?) and then Sayumi starts over.
Rainbow Pink - This is... an experience. I won't ruin it for you guys. Listen to it yourself and decide whether Erina is an upgrade from Koharu. It's short, not the full song. Erina kind of gets robbed, since Mizuki and Kanon got a full song and Riho got a dance break.
Moonlight Night - Some music in the beginning, but it seems too short to be a dance break, which I think comes in in the middle of the song. Not an appropriate song choice for Riho, who sounds strained from the very beginning before the dance break even happens.

All in all, it sounds like a good concert. Of course, I might change my mind once videos come out if it turns out to be a complete mess. It was a really good recording, sans those Aika/Reina fans who kept shouting.
Honorable mention to Mizuki for sounding much better than the rest of 9th gen and for showing Aika up on Sungoi. I still adore you Aika.

Generally that is one shit sounding concert, I would have been very disappointed with it even if Eri and JunLin were still there. Most of the Fantasy! Juuichi tracks haven't made any impression on me and I'm not sure if I can face the Munchkins on the handful of classic MM songs.
No way am I spending the money for the BluRay, I'll probably wait until the tracks start to appear on YouTube and then decide if I am going to buy the DVD.

I'm now much more impressed by Sayu and Fantasy ga Hajimaru.
Lullaby Game - they used the album version with the opening that I think is quite an improvement over the original. & Yes, Takahashi kept dragging out her adlibs. I want to see how they cued the sound guys!
I like Eripon, but I think her singing's the weakest out of all 9th gen. Or it's very piercing like Reina's, only less nasally and with less control. Hopefully Tsunku puts her on massive amounts of voice training because the girl needs it.
Liked the arrangement for Sayu's solo medley. She was a bit shaky in the repeat (y'know, after the earthquake warning break) but I'm starting to like her voice. Really, the only problem I have with it is her complete inability to carry pitch.

I listened to a few Erina mic rips, and she has a lot of trouble singing and dancing at the same time. She's out of breath the entire time. On an unrelated note, her concert goods all look really good.
Also a rip of the night concert came out, and the setlist does not change.

I doubt they'll be much variation for the first 75% of the tour to take it easy on the new girls. Once they get comfortable then you'll probably see changes by the end of the tour.

I'm glad to see Fantasy ga Hajimaru getting some play. Sayumi WORKS with electropop. I'm disappointed that Erina got Rainbow Pink. When I listened to Reina's early singing and KonKon's deepened voice on WBS news, I wondered whether Morning Musume is encouraged to speak in high-pitched cutesy voices, and it's sad to see Erina embark on that road. On the other hand, Erina will obviously have a blast working with Sayu. I somehow wish they'd do karaoke battles, or other fun H!M traditions for that matter, instead of regular MCs.

I always think it's a studio tweak with autotune (or something). Listen to Buono! live, they sound noticeably deeper, especially Momoko.

Everyone sounds deeper live, part of it is the fact that they have to dance at the same time. It's easier to control you're voice when you're not tired from dancing to Bravo Bravo or something. Plus even on studio tracks Momo's voice always is deeper in songs like Otakebi and MY BOY but it's higher in songs like Rival or Take it Easy.

I listened to a mic hack of Riho singing moonlight night and she actually sounded pretty good. Eripon in Fantasy ga Hajimaru and MDSS sounded pretty bad.

Erina just sounds really, really out of breath, but her voice is definitely not unbearable. She's already better then Koharu mic rip I've heard though. Riho sounds great!
