Jessica is the one who looks like BoA with big teeth. If that helps. She's also very often blonde.

Just came in to say HAHAHA. Edit: Teehee, dude is commenting on every SNSD post. He said she smelled like sunshine dust. I snicker.

Anyway,

Love - Sunny, Hyoyeon, Seohyun, Sooyoung, Yuri sometimes

Like - Yuri other times, Tiffany, Jessica mostly

Ergh - Yoona, Taeyeon

And anyone who disagrees is wrong. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... joyful.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':joyful:' />

Good thing he left the worthwhile members alone, and too bad he didn't succeed in removing Taeyeon from the group.

Also, full HQ audio of Mr. Taxi is pretty great. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /weeeh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' />

Too bad he didn't manage to take everyone that isn't Sooyoung.[/quote]

Holy shit, Mr. Taxi is good. Their Japanese is even tons better. Now I just can't wait to see a music video.

Oh and I think Taeyeon could be awesome if she tried, but she's kinda the Risa of SNSD in that she's serious business on putting more time into leading (which she does well) than anything else.

And Hyo is a goddess, goddamn it. >:c

Haha, BoA already has huge teeth; Jessica's have nothing on hers.

I've given Mr. Taxi a few listenings now.

But I still have this feeling that it's too slow. I hope somebody cool *cough*neshcom*cough* will make a remix that will turn this not bad, but not good song into a wonderful electro-party.

Anyone know who wrote this song? Because it has English, Japanese, and Korean in it, which is kind of odd.

TOKYO, SEOUL, LONDON, N.Y. 気ままに世界を Drive tonight

街の灯がまるで Shooting Star 次の目的地まで Non‐Stop

エンジン音だけ残して 다시 보자 後ろ手で Say good‐bye

ホラ・よそ見しないで冒険セヨ!

あの右ハンドルよりも確かよ I'm so sure

Mr. Taxi, Taxi, Taxi 相当 즉시 즉시 즉시

追いつけないスピードで

ねぇ 着いてこれるの?

Mr. Taxi, Taxi, Taxi 相当 즉시 즉시 즉시

ヒカリ輝く

けど触れられないの

まさに Supersonic n' hypertonic

奪って欲しいの

U take me 今すぐ

Mr. Taxi, Taxi, Taxi 相当 즉시 즉시 즉시

けど簡単に はいかないのよ

どこへでも自由自在よ

そう宇宙の果てでさえも

願いどおりなのよ どうして不安なの?

And I don't know why, and I don't know why

着いてきてよね I don't wanna say good bye Good bye, Good bye

Mr. Taxi, Taxi, Taxi 相当 즉시 즉시 즉시

追いつけないスピードで

ねぇ 着いてこれるの?

Mr. Taxi, Taxi, Taxi 相当 즉시 즉시 즉시

Mr. Taxi, Taxi, Taxi 相当 즉시 즉시 즉시

I was thoroughly baffled the first time I saw this.

I'm not sure what happened (if anything), but she hasn't really been the same after Genie or so. She was my favorite for a long time, but of late she's fallen off a bit and Jessica (whom I used to hate) is now in the top spot. Tiffany used to be my second favorite, but since she "got her wisdom teeth out" I can't even recognize her. Her face looks different every time a new photo or clip comes out. I don't understand why she had to mess with it; she was so pretty before.

If she really did get them "removed," It's pretty normal to, but I agree, she did look better before their "removal."

She's starting to look like her old self again. What surprises me more is that if she did get them out, why wait until you're 21 to do it? Especially since most idols get all their teeth stuff done pre-debut.

Removing your wisdom teeth is pretty often not a choice. Sometimes you have to do it because there's not enough place in your mouth for another 4 teeth, or they are carious.

I don't see any difference (it's just 4 teeth lol).

Also wisdom teeth grow between the ages of 17-24, some people even earlier. And they can screw up your other teeth or start to grow from the roof of you're mouth if there's no space.\, or cause infections that require surgery and all sorts of other stuff. Because in the olden days before toothpaste, people's teeth would fall out, so when they got older the widsom teeth were there to take the place of missing teeth. I've heard of someone's wisdom growing through their eye sockets because they didn't have enough space. Most people get them removed. Some people never get them as well. I know I have one coming in early because I had my tooth pulled when I was a kid (because I was born with a bad tooth!!) so there's a space for it in the back. But hopefully I only get 1 or 2. You can get different numbers of them, it's usually 4 but not always...That's enough about teeth from me :D

I had to get mine taken out when I was like 13 cause I had 4 growing in at once. It was pretty much a cautionary thing because they knew once the rest of my teeth were all in place and such it would cause a lot of pain and problems. Felt like a boss cause I got them out so young until I was bleeding into my throat for an entire day lol.

Given the context of this recent discussion, I just keep reading your user name as "molar" <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hatthe.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whatthe:' />

I still have all 4 of my wisdom teeth in because they are growing in "straight" but I swear the shape of my jaw has changed since I was in my early 20s. Wisdom teeth are weird - they seem to grow SLOWLY. I knew a bunch of people who got them removed in college because thats when they started to bother them. If she's about 20ish, then I guess that's about right.

An interesting thing, in the context of this teeth discussion, is that I never knew people got their wisdom teeth removed until mine had grown in, and I guess it's a really good thing I had no complications because... well, I just would've had them since I only visit a dentist when I have a problem. It actually makes me wonder why most people have them removed, or I guess I'm more wondering how many people have had the actual problems that so many claim as the reason to remove them.

If there weren't any problems, there would be no need to remove them though. It's not like they really do anything. I'm sure people don't want to get their teeth pulled for no reason (and pay for it), so why would they lie?

Uh, you misunderstood me. (And I'm not even going to begin to delve into the can o' worms health care system question/issue you just opened up, so forgive me for ignoring it.) All I was saying is that I wonder how much all these scare stories to get us to have our wisdom teeth removed ever actually occur or have valid reasoning in scaring us into doing it. I'm not saying anyone in particular is lying about his or her own teeth. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Just that I wonder if all the very general horror stories of, "Oh, some people remove their wisdom teeth because they grow in sideways/fuck up their mouths/kill babies!" ever happen frequently enough, or even have a high enough chance of happening, to be valid reasons in everyone removing wisdom teeth. I don't know about anyone else, but I knew quite a few people in high school who just had their wisdom teeth removed only because they hurt when they were growing in, so it gives me the idea that dentists are quick to go the route of removing just because there ARE horror stories and not because that person in particular has a very high risk of anything going wrong.

But back on SNSD, I'm kinda curious about the Korean words now. Not that I understand the Japanese at all, but still. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hawhaw.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hawhaw:' />

My internet googling powers say that

즉시 = asap, immediately, instantly, pronto, etc.

Also, I saw a spread of them in a recent fashion magazine called Sweet. Here is a re-upload of just the photospread but be warned, the original pictures are HUGE.

ImageImage

ImageImage

From these photos alone, I decided that I like

Yuri

Seohyun

Yoona

Sunny

Sooyoung is okay too

(just because I like their photos the best. Woohoo shallow pop industry <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nceman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':danceman:' /> <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nceman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':danceman:' /> <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nceman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':danceman:' /> )

Jessica looks like Fujimoto Miki <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I know the wisdom teeth conversation is over but just fyi

My dentist said it is sometimes better to pull them because they grow so tightly to your back tooth and are often hard to brush and floss, so they are prone to cavities. They do not serve any functional purpose in your mouth either so if they hurt, it is fine to pull them instead of letting them hurt you. Anyhow.

Yoona looks quite scrawny in that video. =(

Seohyun looks quite good on the other hand.

I actually start to like the song itself more, but the use of autotune, as always, is absolutely disgusting.

I'll wait for a live version where there's no annoying autotune shit in it and just judge the song by that !

They usually don't perform the Japanese songs live, though. All the others have been lipsynched. And if they're not lipsynched, the real vocals are overshadowed by backtrack.

Hm I never knew. I still don't understand what makes someone "look" Korean or Chinese, versus "looking" Japanese. Whenever I ask for an explanation, people just prattle off stereotypes.

I presume that this was a "bad" thing on 2ch? I wonder if the Korean Wave has helped with all those racism problems in Japan <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nfused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I think there is a distinct difference between Korea's and Japan's idea of the "perfect idol beauty".

Thus the Japanese idols often have a different look than the Korean idol.

Just so you know, I'm not talking about the average Japanese or Korean.

I think there is a distinct difference between Korea's and Japan's idea of a "perfect idol".

Thus the Japanese idols often have a different look than the Korean idol.

Yeah, I get that there are extreme examples of an idealized "Korean face" vs "Japanese face" and the whole Jomon/Yayoi debate but at the end of the day, everyone looks more or less the same. The insistence that Asians are racially different than Japanese is one of those annoying nationalist myths that I really hate.

And the real issue comes down to

which plastic surgeon do Korean idols use vs which plastic surgeon Japanese idols use <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hawhaw.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hawhaw:' /> <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hawhaw.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hawhaw:' />

Edit: Whoa, check out the comparison photo of Jessica and Miki!

I don't think nationalism needs to enter into it, although almost anything can be co-opted by a nationalist agenda. While there is definitely a large amount of ambiguity, I do think there are visual differences between C/J/K that I can distinguish at a better than chance level, especially if you allow me to pass on ambiguous instances. Now, I'm not sure exactly *what* I'm picking up on... sometimes I just look and I can tell.

Jessica is all natural <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... pyeyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Except for her teeth, anyway.
