Gah! I don't like this instrumental. Too many starts and stops and it doesn't flow to me. I'm also sick of the Reina/Takahashi show and it's all I can hear. I can even hear all Takahashi in the chorus. You usually can't hear the chorus in a radio rip like this so god knows what it'll sound like as the CD version. Morning Musume post-Takahashi is going to be a mess trying to fill all her spots. It'll be insane.



Bring on the PV and make it more then a 1 outfit monster please because this song isn't lifting my spirits at all by itself. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... dammit.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dammit:' />

I don't like the studio version :/ it's missing that power the concert version had. The spoken parts sound less messy, which is a plus, but almost everything else is disappointing. I do love the instrumental though.

Don't get me wrong I really love it, it's different and basically just took a few listens to get really into it.

The RenAi chorus is catchy, but the verses are just...not so good. For some reason, Riho is sounding like Reina in the end.

I definitely agree with that. With such a dubfest heavy influence, i'd have liked to see a deeper voice leading. I actually think a Risa lead on this song would have been a really good mesh (along with Takahashi). I do like the parts where Riho has lines though. She sounds like a less whiny version of Reina on them.

I like Only You for the way it sounds and it has a good mix of different things to keep it interesting enough to notice even while it plays in the background, but it's not really grabbing me so far. I want a PV full of white fluffy things and maybe UFA and I can strike a deal on this one.

I do too, especially the verses. I hope they do something with this song and not something cheap. It sounds like it could have a neat PV and dance routine.

Unrelated, but I didn't realize that the DJ Sharpnel Only You was the BOOWY song. I guess I haven't listened to that album in a while. Although, it was all about PRETTY GREEN ONIONS.

Yeah, but there's a difference between auto-tuning to hide someone's lack of skill, and altering vocals for the weird mechanical mood of the song.

And as usually, I preordered the best cover (regular). A and regular look amazing, B looks nice, and C looks like your standard H!P photoshop fail. I didn't like the costumes at first because the stripes made it look like a Cool and Sexy/Ice Capades mess and I was expecting something more glamorous based on the accessories but, I like them a lot more seeing them live.

I like A the most. It's the only one where I can actually see everyone I like. Limited C is going to do a good job of ostracizing the people who are already annoyed by Riho even more.

It's official, Riho is a front girl. I thought Riho would be my favorite of the 9th gen, but somehow she's boring to me :/ Now Eripon is my favorite, with Fuku-chan right behind her. And Kanon is just kinda just meh to me.

I hope Fuku-chan can get an Kame like position soon.

In the Regular, it just looks like Kanon is standing further back. And she's shorter than Aika to begin with. I actually like the regular the best. Limited A is okay too, but since they just did a cover like that with the last single it's a little boring. The other two are just weird with some members zoomed way in and some seeming randomly off to the side, some way in the back. Riho looks like a different person in Limited B.
