I hope she does - he's a super shady guy and she needs to get away from all that mess.  I am still rooting for her.  She's had a tough time of it and a rough upbringing but I've seen plenty of women in similar situations turn their lives around with far fewer resources.

Kago has never really had a shortage of resources in her life, and I think it's a main part of why I just roll my eyes whenever new articles pop up about her. I hate to say it because I realize she's had it rough, but girlfriend had a music group put together specifically by her husband, so it doesn't look like she has a shortage of people lending her a hand; she just needs to decide to do better for herself once and for all and ffs, stop dating the quintessential old shady stereotype.

Little trivia fact I learned on Jplop. She's been doing demo's for the H!P groups and she's the one that sings the english parts in CG's Itooshikutte Gomen ne.

She is? I was wondering whose voice that was... figured it was some random singer lol. That's a nice touch, I think it'd be nice if they used her more often for that kind of stuff

This is all that's been said about it so far, since the release date is so far away:


Kikkawa You will release a new single (currently untitled) on May 6th.

This was announced on February 13th during her Valentine event 'Kikka no Valentine Party ~Choco no Kazoekata~'.

Her new single is said to be "an unique work in idol history." At the present stage, it's known that "one song is several tens of minutes long" and "Kikkawa You will sing about a woman's way of life in opera and musical style."


Regarding the new song, Kikkawa commented, "There have been rumors that a 'solo idol is coming', but Kikka is a solo idol among solo idols that does original things.

In a good way, I hope to stay as an idol who stands out. I hope to sing about a woman's way of life in many forms, expressions, and voice, so please look forward to it." </blockquote>She lied and it's only 17 and a half minutes.

This brought back some fond memories of loitering around the Hello Store and accidentally coming across Asahi's mini-live (while she was still solo) and handshake...

You know that attempting any qualitative comparison of Queen and a person attempting to cover Queen is a humorous endeavour to say the least. But that is a pleasant cover. And she does seem like she actually knows what she's doing in terms of audience interaction, rather than just going through the rehearsed motions of fake spontaneous working the crowd up. I think I was more impressed with this than anything.

Also there seemed to be people openly recording the performance (including a guy with what looks like A SMARTPHONE CAMERA SHOULDER RIG WHAT THE FUCK), that's a big change from the usual deal where you get tackled to the floor and dragged out in handcuffs if you as much as dare to have a passing thoughtcrime of perhaps stealing a single blurry photo from your seat in one of the back rows of the venue.
