Episode 1 of Telltale Games' new Walking Dead series was soooo damn good! It's part of the comic story and not the TV show, right down to the look of it. Absolutely amazing and more than worth the 5 bucks, especially because it has all the branching storyline stuff for possible multiple playthroughs.

Their Monkey Island and, if you're into the movies (you better be !), BTTF episodes are also pretty well done.

MI more so than BTTF however.

Yeah, I've enjoyed all their games, even Jurassic Park which a lot of people disliked. Walking Dead is an interesting departure since it is a point and click style game, but you get direct control of the character and it has a really cool interface.

I just started playing 774 Deaths. (I finally have an iPod touch)

Nanashi... I don't fully get this pun. Shi is obviously in reference to death, but they translate the whole thing as "nameless"

It's like sadistic Warioware. In the sense that how you have to interact with the screen to move your character changes with each level, and you will die in horrible ways from room to room. Sometimes you have a control set on screen, sometimes your character moves automatically and you can only jump, and sometimes you have to move the entire iPod.

It's in Square NES game style and adorable, but I don't think a video game has inspired outbursts of profanity from me quite like this one.

I just saw a youtube video where someone turned a corner to close and hit their head on a brick and died! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

There's really no reason that you should be crushed by the fact that the screen is scrolling! There's no wall on the other side!!! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... dammit.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dammit:' />

Anyway, I love this game. I just hope that the scenery changes at some point, it's all just so Bowser's castle Mario 1 dungeon.

What the hell is going on.

In semi-related news; Valve FINALLY released a level editor on Steam for Portal 2.

Already tried out 3~4 maps.

Hopefully users will make some more difficult maps than the piss-easy ones from the campaign.

Bought Alan Wake during the Steam sale for 14€.

I have only just played the first episode (nearly exactly 90 mins of playing), but I am absolutely amazed.

Playing, more like "experiencing", this with headphones on is insane.

I bought Company of Heroes for $10 during the sale. Of course, I have other games to play and books to read before I can even think about playing it, but think of the savings! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /weeeh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' />

(I still haven't touched Age of Empires 3 after paying $.10 for it...)

Just finished it... wow.

This is an absolutely amazing game and I never would have expected it to be this great.

Now, if only they made it a PC exclusive and their attempts at being more open-world at times would have been even better.

Just imagine roaming around in the beautiful Bright Falls.

Eventhough I was amazed by the game, I saw many spots where console-centered developement was once again holding back an experience.

Alan Wake is absolutely amazing, glad to see someone else who really appreciates it. I was absolutely floored when I played it back when it first came out on Xbox, and then the DLC episodes came out and I played those the following year and THEN, about 2 months ago, the sequel came out on Xbox exclusively, and it once again brought me back into remembering how astoundingly amazing the whole world of Alan Wake is.

Remedy has basically nothing to do with MP3.

It also looks like somewhat of an abomination to the MP series to me. Parts of it do look as if they're true to the originals.

The first two were made by them, right? The novel series Alan writes were references to MP, and the guy on the talk show in the first game was who Max's looks were based on.

Remedy made MP 1 & 2, but the third is being developed by Rockstar.

It's EXTREMELY accurate. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

But hey, I'd have been there if I could, making up for all those years of having too shitty a computer and Internet to play and only being able to listen to my friends talk about playing D1 and D2... :wastedchildhood:

I'd suggest buying Diablo II + LoD and installing the highres patch.

For me personally Diablo 3 doesn't seem to be worth playing, eventhough I was a hardcore D2 fanatic.

I didn't try Diablo 1 and didn't like Diablo II, but maybe I just didn't play long enough to "get it". III is wonderful and I can't stop playing, even when I consciously know I'm just clicking stuff over and over.

The thing is, since all session IDs are stored online, the crackers are also going to rob singleplayer characters that have only played in private sessions so far.

To be honest, I don't feel for the people at all. That's what you get for buying a game that requires you to constantly be online to play the singleplayer part.

Far Cry 2 is the perfect simulator if you want to repair vehicles 24/7 while having near-instant respawning enemy groups. haha

I would have rather bought MGS 1 for PC (I played it when it was released), it comes with the VR Missions.

Should have just used an authenticator. Since they've got a free authenticator app for all smart phones, there's no reason not to.
