A portable Neo Geo that also plays on TVs and comes with an arcade joystick and 21 games? Yeah, I'm taking this over a Vita any day.
They probably produce the handheld for about 50$, the joystick for 30$. The station is just a cheap video processor for about 20$.
You're missing the point.
The system does look kinda cool and also has HDMI out when you're playing on TV, so it should look pretty great. And they are going to make carts you can actually put in to play other games, but they haven't said which games or how much they're going to cost. Unfortunately, you can emulate a Neo Geo perfectly on a PSP and most tablets nowadays, but this package is way cooler, and the joypad on the handheld is badass. Pretty much like NGP joystick but a little better.

No, I'm not.
You're just overlooking the fact that it's overpriced hardware because of nostalgia.

Re: What are you playing?
I'm going back and forth between Skyrim and Saints Row 3 right now. There just isn't enough time in the day to play as much as I'd like <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />
Re: What are you playing?
I love Xenoblade. The environments, the exploration, the characters, both language tracks, and the OST is the best I've heard in years.
BUT GOD DAMMIT THIS FUCKING QUEST IS MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A RETARD AND READY TO CRUSH MY CLASSIC CONTROLLER.
I even went so far as to look it up on faq sites. I still can't find the freaking cave. I have been hugging walls for at least three hours now.

Let me guess, you played Leon's campaign first and ruined 75% of the rest of the game for yourself? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /sleep.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='-_-' />

I did do Leon's first. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />
After that I was just like no, no more. I will replay it later on but yeah, it's too fresh in my mind to do that right now.

Re: What are you playing?
I just finished Mass Effect 2.
I usually prefer JRPGs and I hate ranking things, but I have no difficulty calling this one of my top 3 RPGs ever. I am tempted to jump right into ME3, but I think I'm going to try some other WRPGs that I've missed out on until now first. Probably starting with Fallout: New Vegas.

I would suggest playing Fallout 3 first, if you haven't already. It has a much bigger impact and is much more immersive than New Vegas. Not to say NV is bad, but you'd be better off playing F3 first.

I'd also suggest playing F3 first too, but because NV is the better game in nearly every single aspect.

Thanks for all the advice, but I decided to go with Dragon Age: Origins (Ultimate ver.) instead. Now installing.

The story is nowhere near as good as F3 and the "factions" element just made the game overly complicated and I don't think it came off as smoothly as they would've liked, but the game is still great, and in pretty much every other aspect, better than F3. The factions made for lots of interesting story options, but having the option and possibility to balance between them for most of the game made for a little too much complication. It would've been nicer if you had to pick one of the factions earlier on in the game and stick with in instead of being able to flip-flopping between them. Or just made them as normal sidequests that have a definite end, even if they are extremely long, that way you could go on to another faction later, but they infused these faction parts into the main backbone story, and that was their error.

Very unfortunate. This is one of the worst "mainstream" WRPG's I've ever tried to play.

I don't think F3's story is that much better. The dialogue was quite cheesy, Obsidian is just great at writing characters.
I didn't have the feeling that the game was too complicated at all. If anything, I wanted it to be even harder and more focused on surviving. But mods helped in that department a lot.
However, I liked both games and played each 80+ hours, so it's not like I want to downplay F3.

New Vegas felt a little emptier and smaller than 3, but I enjoyed both. Now that I have a gaming PC, I should really revisit them both with some mods.

This is pretty interesting if you're gaming a lot on Steam:
http://www.lambentstew.com/webblog/mini ... amanalysis
You have to set your "Profile Status" to "public" in the mean time. However, if you set it back to anything else, nobody else will be able to look into it, the stats will not be saved.

Got the wii as an early birthday gift and I'm loving Rhythm Heaven Fever. I'm up to Monkey

much cooler. Tsunku is a genius. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Meanwhile, here I am still muddling through Skyrim <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... stling.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' /> I finished SR3 really quickly. Only 45 main missions? It seems a good portion of the game is the mini-games. Heli Assault gets pretty damn annoying though; it's hard to keep a steady aim on the target while also moving the damn helicopter <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nfused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

My most anticipated video game of the 2010's(that we know of) releases in just three weeks.
Not buying anything else in that time because it is only available for too much yen.

I was getting a bit irritated with the series after finishing II. No real reason except I thought the story was getting too crazy to be believable. And I predicted III would blow hard chunks because of that.

Re: What are you playing?
The Desmond stuff is such idiotic convoluted bullshit. I'm happier with just the parts in the past and not having to deal with Generic Shitstain Stu. The Revelations game was the worst. I did the first part of his little "past", found out he was raised on some Assassin Farm, was like, Fuck this Bullshit and never finished the rest. Good thing they weren't required, otherwise I wouldn't have finished the game and got my goodbye to Ezio.
