Looks like there's a $200 Black Friday Vita bundle with AC Liberation. Maybe I'll take the plunge, although I'll have to spend at least $50 more since that 4 gig memory card it comes with ain't shit. Maybe I'll also pick up PS All Stars Battle Royale for PS3 as well, since it also comes with the Vita version for free.

Just finished the final episode of Telltale's Walking Dead series. Game of the Year, by far. I've never cared more about two characters than I did about Lee and Clementine, and never felt more emotional about any game ever.

Went through Magenta door as first choice. Just got my first ending and I'm surprised I didn't get one of the "bad" ends. Had to be a complete asshole to do it, but oh well them the cards. I haven't played anything, but I just saw Project X Zone and I'm now considering getting a Japanese 3DS.

Well, Jump Superstars filled a big chunk, so maybe it's only the last 1/3. It will probably never come out in the US, and even if it did, I doubt that the character voices would survive localization.



Oh wow, they want to localize it, but it is uncertain if they will go through with it.

Persona 4 Golden! Squeeeee!!!



It's worth it just for the extras alone! There's a "TV Guide" mode built into it that contains channels featuring all the movies in the game, the music, live performances of the music, summaries of the previous games and their various trailers, and lots of other stuff. As for the game, it's different from the moment you step off the train, so there's plenty of reasons to play it even if you've gone through the first one.

It's not bad at all for what it is. My friends suck at fighting games so this is one of the few types of "fighting" games they can handle when we're all hanging out.

"Played" the Walking Dead game now for about 8 hours straight. Just finished Episode 3.

It's really captivating and interesting. Might as well just call it "Everybody dies - Everybody".

But man, so little gameplay in there, it's exactly what I wrote about a few posts ago.

Too bad it also suffers from some technical shortcomings and issues.

Looking at videos of it, it seems like an empty shell of Smash Bros.

Smash Bros. has a lot of charm, but that game looks like a soulless carbon-copy, just with the game mechanics changed a bit.

After 98h I've finally finished my first playthrough of Dark Souls.

Holy balls, I soaked this game up with every inch of my gamer soul. It was so fucking good.

At parts it was insanely frustrating and it took me up to two hours to finish some bosses. But, I've managed to kill them all, most alone, 2~3 with some random strangers via co-op.

What a game, one of the best I've played in the past several years.



And now for New Game+, hooo !

I've gotten three more endings in VLR: I was making my way though the magenta door options, so I ended up with two incomplete ends and one bad end. I'm starting the green (iirc?) door routes for now, even though I hate Tenmyouji as much as I hate Luna. Quark is high on my list of characters I don't like either. I love having the flow chart since it stops me from checking out a flowchart online (and possibly spoilers but I think I spoiled myself on Sigma due to a screenshot).

I'm SO GLAD I left the cyan doors for the very end as per someone's advice. So glad. It's just so epic. I beat the game completely but apparently there is an extra ending if you beat everything on Hard, so I'm gonna go and redo those rooms I did on Easy -- you can just use the escape passwords right away and not have to replay the entire room.

My favorite VLR character is Phi. I love that she is so deeadpan most of the time then randomly tries to crack a joke and no one is ready for it and no one laughs.



The only character I didn't really like was Quark, and that's mostly because *Quark ending spoilers* His ending is so god-damn boring! Seriously, every other ending has a major reveal/twist, his is a complete dud.



To get the extra ending, keep in mind you only need to beat the rooms on hard and you don't actually need the secondary password (the blue one.) I got the extra ending with only about half of those blue passwords.



Since I'm on that topic, another small piece of advice is to -not- read the gold files you get from the blue passwords until you beat the game. There was one case in which I was moderately spoiled by something the gold file mentioned because it was from an ending I had not finished.



And on the topic of P4G, I'd love to play it but I do not own a Vita. I did hear the new voice actors in P4U and I do like Teddie's new voice, but I'm not sold on Chie's, although it's not terrible.



And for the record, I agree that Yukiko > Chie, but Rise > both of them. (And Yousuke > everyone.)
