I thought the romance was partly due to trying to cash in on the Hunger Games/Twilight/whatever teenage love triangle is vogue. I honestly expected the series to have some sort of overt romance because the lead is a teenage girl and teenage girls do that sort of thing. (And it may have been one of the stipulations Nick gave them for extending it beyond a miniseries because of its popularity.) Hell, half the fanbase was having shipping wars for it the moment the photo of the trio leaked. As for the air instant gratification, I hope it means that she struggles with the rest/the fine details or her quick learning of it means we'll get more plot focus on the "nonbenders v benders" side of things, which is fine by me either or. She may have gotten the movement, but I hope she struggles with the actual air bending part that requires more restraint. I have faith in the writers because one bad episode does not a bad series make. I didn't have a huge problem with romance in the second episode. She's not in any danger yet. If the romance starts overshadowing the actual plot I'll end up being pissed.

Trying to start season 3 of Archer, but it's proving difficult simply because I can't find certain places to get it, if you know what I mean.

Also, were there 10 or 13 episodes in season 3? The official site says 10, IMDB says 13, and certain file sites I've seen say 12-13.

EDIT: Is it this "Heart of Archness" three-parter that's fucking the counts up? I don't even know what that is in relation to the show but I'm about to find out.

Heart of Archness was a three episode mini-arc that bridged season 2 and 3. It aired a few months after the end of season 2 as a supplemental order of episodes. They're probably my favorite parts of season 3.

I am trying to patiently wait for my DVD box sets of The Tribe to arrive. They are coming oneth by land, twoeth by sea. They could not bundle more than two together so they are going to arrive though out the month. I still need season 3. After that I will have all of them. I plan to watch them all before the summer is over. I love summer vacation. Also, True Blood in five days

Started runs of United States of Tara, Mad Men, and The Sarah Silerman Program. All very good. Don Draper is mai husbando and I will fight any of you girls over him come on and try me.

I lurve netflix too nesh~

I started watching Archer this weekend and found it rather entertaining. I also started Breaking Bad, which is awesome, but rather heavy so I can't marathon it.

Now that Game of Thrones is over, I don't have a weekly show anymore. ;_; I wish I could figure out HBOGO because I've always wanted to watch The Wire and I want to try True Blood. They want a "member" name and password that no one ever made for our cable account.

As far as I remember for HBO Go, you just set up your own account, but somewhere during the setup you need your account number from the cable bill.

tbh you really don't want Don as your husband until maybe the fifth season, and even then, it's questionable.

Just watched the last episode of the Legend of Korra and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! What a lame-ass copout ending! I could have had an awesome dark, downer ending but no. Hell, it could have had a super-dark ending Korra could have killed herself after the rest of her bending was locked away so another Avatar could have been born.

And what the hell, Fireboy?!? Asami is the most awesome chick ever, who goes through more terrible shit than anyone in the series, and you two time her?!? Butthole!

I really enjoyed all of Korra, I only wish it had been a longer season, they could have done a lot more to flesh things out. But as for the copout, meh. Aang getting hit in his back with a rock in TLA's finale was probably worse. So while a little disappointing, the show is not without deus ex machina precedent. And Asami x Iroh 4eva.

You've got to remember that Avatar is primarily a kids show.

You're not going to see such a thing in a Nickelodeon show.

Uhhhh, well... (major spoilers, don't read if you haven't seen the episodes!) Tarrlok killed himself and his brother in the finale, and I'm pretty sure Noatak let him. Just so they wouldn't repeat and continue their twisted father's legacy. Avatar gets away with a lot more than you'd think from just a "kids' show" but it always does it so well. Korra really really needed more than just 12 episodes though.

The DVR did not record half of the Korra episodes, so I have to wait for a DVD set or a marathon before I can watch the series. I've managed to avoid spoilers though. Yippee!

I watched almost the entirety of Being Human last night. It's a fun ride. I wasn't sure I would like it after the pilot episode, but it gets better as it went on, thankfully. I had some problems with some characters and their actions, but it didn't hamper my enjoyment too much.

Which Being Human? US or UK? I'd been following the UK version for a while, and I tried the US pilot when it came out but it was almost exactly the same as the UK version but with much too pretty people, so I didn't bother continuing.

UK. The US version didn't look too appealing for me... and experience has taught me US adaptations of anything and everything end up sucking balls. Plus UK has nifty accents~ ;p

And I hate to say this, but why can I not resist Pawn Stars when it is on?

I agree with this. I was expecting a lot less from the ending than all the great things that happened (sans the deus ex machina thing you mentioned), and THAT scene in particular really surprised me. Korra's always been top of the line IMO for appealing to the older audience but keeping the kid's show age tag, so that moment shocked me a lot. In a good way. Really sad.

I've got torrents for the last three episodes in 720p if you want! I missed the last two weeks, so spent some time digging around for HD rips and found some.

Just a bit of warning then Petit, the UK version has become very different from where it started. I know British shows can have no qualms about changing things (that American shows wouldn't dare do) but this is some pretty big stuff. New season/series planned for next year, I really have no idea what to expect from it!

I saw the first two episodes of both the UK and US Being Human. Only difference I saw from those two is that the US one has Starkiller/Doomsday (This guy plays the most epic villains), which is the only important difference. Otherwise I think they're both equally depressing and didn't watch anymore than the first two >_>. I was hoping maybe the US one would be butchered to a point where I'd be able to watch it. But no, stupid faithful adaptations...

I just finished Korra, like, a few minutes ago. It was pretty amazing. I have absolutely zero against anything that the show did... well except certain shipping issues, but outside of that.

I finished United States of Tara last night and the ending was nice. Not great, but nice. It had some closure, but the drama they spent the whole season building resolved with such little fanfare. Also, a major character has my name, but characters never have my name and he's not a great guy, so everyone yelled at me.... T_T

I liked USoT and didn't. I got into it right before season 3 started so when it ended it felt like it was over too quickly. It got disturbing near the end though.

I prefer the UK version too. The UK version has better actors and the average looking actors added to the believably of the story line. TV series with Fantasy or similar genres need good actors more than TV without that element. They are building almost a new reality and it must be believable. The acting in the US version almost looks forced. I will never forget when Nina discovered that the vampire;Mitchell that was living in the same house as her was apart of the massacre. I could feel her betrayal and pain and panic. It was one of the best scenes. Also I think George is such a charming and sweet character.

I picked up the Pretty Little Liars DVD set for Season 1.

First reaction: "I can see myself being obsessed with this show if I was a teenager..."

Two episodes in: "Damnit, I am obsessed with this show right now. Should I be watching grown up shows?!"

Well.

1. The clothes are sooo cute. Much cuter than Gossip Girl, imo.

2. Googling for clothing information has lead to SO MANY SPOILERS ARRRGGG. Lucky for me, the tv show doesn't seem to follow the books so maybe things will still surprise me.

3. I just want to find out who A is and why Alison was killed. Jesus, stop stringing me along! I don't care about the other stuff!
