Liking it and accepting it are two different things, and you can choose do whichever you please. If I don't automatically like a song, I just accept it and move on. My point was to not expect something that was Golden or Platinum Era from the Colorful Era because they are all vastly different in their own unique ways, and that they will continue with this music style/quality until entering into the next era. (I'm just going to start calling the current MM that considering I like it and some people use it a lot when I read through YouTube comments.)

I generally like autotune, but I didn't care for it here when they did the line pairings.



This one is growing on me with each listen, but Brainstorming is definitely my favorite at the moment. It just seems catchier to me.

Edit: After watching it again, looking at this song's choreography and Brainstorming's, I think they have blocking issues. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but there are a few girls having to scramble to make their marks on time. You'd think the choreographer would be a little more mindful of that.

So after listening to it a few times, I like everything about this song except for the stanzas (the paired lines where they're walking backwards). Coming off the TWO THOUSAND PEOPLE ON THE DANCE FLOOR part just makes them sound even weaker and out of place.



Also I think this dance shot would have looked a lot better with a stark black background like Wakuteka's, but then I guess their hands would disappear <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hahaha:' />

I actually expect nothing from current MM except for the music to be enjoyable to listen to; the same thing I expect from every other piece of music I listen to. I don't just constantly hold them to what they used to be, they just don't make music that appeals to me in anyway, whatsoever. I don't hold any idol group to what they used to be, because they're all generally so dynamic that releases can be great or terrible and/or vastly different from one to the next. There's no purpose in holding them up to some standard of the past, I judge everything on its own merits, and MM hasn't made a song I enjoy since 2009, and I've listened to every single one since then. I can still comment on how different things are from how they used to be without constantly using the past as a standard to judge what is happening now.

Funny, it's exactly the opposite for me. Brainstorming took many many replays to finally sink in, while I had the Kimi Sae melody stuck in my head instantly.



In the long run, I think Brainstorming is a better song, while Kimi Sae is a better hit. It's more catchy and easier to follow and recognize when you only hear it as a background music on the radio or in public place, though with more potential to get overplayed.



It would be interesting if they adopted it as a strategy from now on - double A-side singles, one insta-hit to boost sales and hook up mainstream listeners, and one more ambitious composition to showcase the songwriting and performing skills. And let's pretend the word "ambitious" isn't out of place in this context. :whistle:



Those costumes need to burn though, and from the dance shot I expect nothing but an embarrassing waste of an MV shot on negative budget. Please do prove me wrong UF.

The outfits remind me of Pepper Keibu. The songs pretty good, I think it would have been better if there was less autotune. I got Ayumi's solo line stuck in my head after just one listen, so more or less what aine said.

This. Every second they aren't singing is pretty good, but all of the sung sections are just boring. And the dance is pretty awful. Lots of that face-forward-marching junk. The whole thing feels intentionally off with the flapper dresses, platform boots, the hats, the dance and the wonky song.

This makes no sense. Why would they pair Reina's solo PV with a CD that doesn't even have the song on it? Well okay, I know why - to sell more versions. But it's still dumb.





Also AEUG... I'm not sure where you're seeing people trying hard to like the song? Other than maybe Star, depending on how you interpret her statements. I see a lot more people either flat out disliking it, flat out liking it, or (like myself) being up in the air about it and trying to process their feelings. I personally find that most songs take me several listens to form a final opinion on, save for rare cases when the song is just SO AWESOME or SO AWFUL that it's apparent to me right away. I'm not immediately impressed with Kimi Sae, but I know in the past I've felt that way about other songs and changed my mind after listening to them a few more times so I'm leaving my mind open for now. I wouldn't call that trying to like the song so much as just not ready to pass final judgment.

I want a mega-PV too! Kare to issho ni will always be the best double A-side to me. IT IS THE FIRST TIME I STOPPED HATING SAYU OK GUYS.
