I guess I don't know if that "ライブ" is referring to the reason they had their "first American arrival" or if it's in the title because it's on the disc. But I assume it's just an elongated version of the TV show.



I still want it though. I suppose there's no easy way to get FC DVDs, is there?

The title is something like:

Morning Musume American First Landing Live ~Offshot Full Coverage of the 72 Hours~



The part before the tildes is the same name as the TV show. And the description on the page mentions their bus, shopping, and backstage excitement. I read "ライブを中心に" as "mainly the live," but perhaps Trike interpreted it differently than I did (and I defer to his Japanese).



I guess we won't know until it comes out. And I didn't see a release date.

I agree with EmEl, I think "ライブを中心に" means "Focusing mainly on the live (concert)..." so it would read:



"Focusing mainly on the live concert, the DVD is packed with off-shots of the girls on the bus and shopping during their down time. We'll even bring you rare backstage footage of the members' excitement and so on."



It also includes the usual "this is all subject to change" thing. Which I guess has already happened, since it was supposed to come out in September.



As for how hard it'll be to get, maybe it'll show up on trackers? I know some fanclub stuff has made it up before, but I'm not sure how rare that is. The only other way to get it I suppose would be to check yahoo auctions once it comes out. =/

Thanks for the translation. I don't think it was supposed to come out in September, but that it was announced in the End of September mail-order catalog. At least, nobody seemed to know about it until a couple weeks ago.



I'm 99% sure it will make its way online, as most FC DVDs appear quickly, but I was wondering the feasibility of finding the actual item somewhere (somehow) as I've never sought any Fan Club items.

I know I'll have be asking my friends, if not the eBay seller (who jacks up his prices by something on the level of 30%...). But maybe we could organize some sort of group buy in any case. That way if they have to be mailed from Japan, we could split the shipping costs (and throw in mailing in the US.) Or something.



Or you never know, maybe Japanfiles will beg UFA hard enough that they'll make it open to us through the HelloProUSA store.

Yeah, I think I interpreted that as them focusing on the live, not the DVD.

It seems the FC DVD finally came out, and just looking at the cover scan it seems the whole concert is included (not that it would be difficult with its short length, AMIRITE?) along with the other stuff from the TV special. One of the tracks also seems to be the Q+A session panel. I haven't finished downloading it yet, but I can only imagine it has to be the entire concert: its 95 minutes of runtime is double the television program. Also they seemed to have performed a song called "3,2,1 BREKIN' OUT !"



I still want to somehow buy it... (if it's still buyable and there are any fanclub members reading this, I will pay!) I requested HelloStoreUSA to try to carry it, but who knows if they'll be able to.

Whilst we are on the subject of FC DVDs anyone know where I can get the MKB FC only releases? I am more than happy to buy the damn things but despite keeping an eye on eBay I haven't been able to find them. Yes I do know about Torrents but they are something I've never got on with <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nfused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />.

They're making the rounds on Y!J auctions now. If UFA is sticking by FC only, your best bet is to get a deputy service to do the bidding for you. Which... hurts.



There's an AVI version out on H!O, but I'm watching the ISO torrent abuse my laptop right now. My burners are dead, so I need to find someplace to actually burn the disc.

So the H!P USA store responded to me and said:

The Morning Musume USA Live DVD is a Japanese fan-club item, so we do not have permission to carry it in our store.



However, we expect to announce details for our new shipment of H!P goods early next week. Please watch our newsletter for details.

I guess UFA wants to keep FC stuff exclusive so that people will actually still be members of it. I'm not sure if that second sentence is supposed to be related to my question, or if they just want to make sure I buy their other stuff instead.
