Am I crazy for thinking Ozeki looks way more like a young Sayumi than Akane does?? And she seems very talkative and easy to get along with. A great girl, seems like Manaka. Wonder if they'll get along well? Even Captain and Kanon point out Ozeki's composure.
 
Satoda confirms that her position of supervisor is above Momoko's play manager, lol. They say she will sing, dance and talk with the new members. SO I guess that means she's "playing" manager, but really continuing to be an idol.

It's kind of a shame Sayu can't sing, after that beautiful speech, it was a bit weird for some reason, maybe she had a harder time controlling her voice because she was upset. I'll miss you Sayu... :(
 
Whoever filmed S/mileage did a terrible job, they even cut to a scene of the stage with no one there at one point. I noticed Maho looked a bit confused sometimes as well. Meimi is rocking that short hair!

Maho looked like she was having some trouble keeping up, which I guess is to be expected considering how little experience she has. Mizuki looked SUPER into it, though. It was cute.

Mizuki fit right in with s/m, she'll be fine~ surprisingly Rikako danced really well too, made the original members look dull.


I do in fact watch the idiom corner! I understand nothing, hell one of the ppl doing the corner doesn't understand it half the time, but it's nice to look at the host in glasses.
 
Sayu almost got me! ALMOST! But I didn't cry nope!

New Hello Station is up! I'm on my phone so I won't link it, but it was a great episode! So much new content! Sorry this review is out of order.


Maimi and Fujii Rio and Hirose Ayaka (KSS new unit members) hosted it.

Makes sense why they don't want to show MM's new song yet, there's a lot going on in H!P.


Maimi is the one that surprises the new unit with the news and it's very cute! Rio looks like she will be a funny girl and seems like she is being prepped for leader (as the oldest it's only natural). Hama-chan, Tagucchi, and Renako say how happy they are that the 3 of them got in because they've been in KSS for a long time and were worried when so many of their kouhai's were debuting over them. Sakurako is starting to resemble Maa-chan imo, maybe it's the eyes? Anyways the next part when they all meet up will continue next episode.


Taiiki Bansei was fun to watch, Rikako's energetic dancing really draws you to her. Also Ayacho's singing continues to improve, and Meimi is very cool looking with her expressions. For Taiiki though they all break off into groups of 3's to sing and dance (but the groups change although they start off being more generational).


Seems like 12th gen have gotten more comfortable in front of a camera and around their Senpai because the didn't seem nervous at all while talking. And Duu has taken over the role of saying "I'm the cutest!" and apparently Harunan once told her that she has an angel face, so she wants everyone to know that. So the next Sayu isn't Harunan or Maria or even Akane, it's Kudou Haruka, lol.


Country Girls is adorable and Maimi comments on Uta's shyness, which apparent when she is saying the speaking lines at the beginning, but then she gets a big smile when everyone starts cheering and is very cute. The lines for Itoshikutte are pretty even, but Manakan has the least, and the focus seems to be on the 3 new girls throughout the song. Uta, Mai, and Chisaki all share center and have speaking lines, while Risa and Manakan don't.


In Berryz intro Momochi says that even though she is 22 she still received money on New Years and wants to take the members of Berryz on a trip with it, which excites the members, but then she says that she will take them somewhere like Tokyo Tower and they complain. (Saki's new hair is really cute.) After the performance Maimi, Fujii, and Hirose all agree that it was sad to see Berryz waving at the end because this is Berryz last song. Also Maimi points out the fact that the dance moves are taken from all their past songs, and she also feels sad because Berryz are her same generation and this songs really makes it feel like they are leaving.


Hirose says that Fukuda Kanon and Sugaya Risako are her admired senpai's, but that she wants to be just like Risako who is both cool and cute. Maimi tells Fujii that she's not going to ask her who her favorite Senpai is resulting in a big "Eeeeh!?" I wonder if it was Maimi herself haha.


For C-ute Maimi talks about how important it is for I miss you to sing your part without getting messed up by hearing another melody being sung, and admits that she actually messed up during that performance. Fujii comments that if her new unit sang that song it would be a mess, and Hirose commends them for not tripping on those long skirts while dancing.


Hirose says she wants to do a group challenge, like how they had the golf one in the first episodes, but as a group (with her unit) to bond more.

Country Girls looks really cute and the new unit seems like they are fun performers, but I'm still annoyed about the quality of the vocals. It's not that they're all awful or anything like that (both groups have people that I think are decent), but every group should have two - three really strong, reliable singers (definitely three if the group has more than six people), and they don't.

It's interesting because their other song is the opposite of this one, I think. The focus (vocally, at least, since I haven't seen it) is on Manaka and Risa instead of the new three, and Manaka sings more than Risa.

I am very very very excited for Country Girls. I love how great a stage presence they all have and Uta is so ADORABLEEEeeeee, I just really like her. Their songs, both of them, are really catchy and fun, so I'm very excited to see more of them in the future.

Meimei says 3rd gen has settled in nicely in Anju and that they all get along and goof off. Karin mentions that Juice=Juice is no longer the newest group and so they are now seniors with their own kohai. Looking back at the Taiki Bansei PV Meimei notes how she thinks her hair has a ton of volume and is really stylish, especially since she's never had her hair done like that for a video. She then goes on to say she really loves the song Taiki Bansei and she embraced it with all she had. "No matter what number time it was of us filming the PV I kept crying out of gratitude."

I'm surprised at the lack of Kanon in both of the new songs. For the past couple years, it's been the Dawa and Kanon show ft. Meimi and Akari (with Kana and Rina popping up every now and then), but it looks like she's been downgraded or something. There's a lot of Kana in Otome no Gyakushuu, too. It's so weird. I wonder if this is going to be a permanent thing or they are just switching things up for this single and I'm just overreacting.   
 
But it's cool how relatively spread out the attention is. I was so worried that Rikako would take over the group, but they aren't even giving her lines, lol.

Rikako's hair in Otome makes me irrationally angry, in the same way that Meimi's does in Taiki Bansei.
 
The lack of Kanon is probably a temporary thing. I can't see her getting pushed to the back or as a supporting vocalist. Akari usually gets quite a few lines too and she's not very prominent either.

Well both these songs aren't as solo heavy as most of their past songs.
