It's okay if some of them are a current work in progress and/or you're catching up on stuff, but some have been hanging for way too long now.



BTW, 19 of the 63 drafts are Uncategorized, please double-check that before publishing.

I'm a little confused. I went to check for these, and saw that I have 3 drafts sitting up top (brand new posts Berry has just prepped for me) and one "pending" entry. Not sure what happened with that one, but I went ahead and published it.



But then I went to the overall drafts section, and I saw 7 drafts for me. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hatthe.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whatthe:' /> Three are the prepped entries Berry did, four are weird blank posts with nothing but a title (one is completely blank). I'm not sure how these came to be, because I never work like that. I put in the pictures and paste in the Japanese text first, then translate and post right away (until berry started doing the prep). I'm not sure how those could have even been created by auto-save. Hopefully the actual translations I did of those went through...way back in February.



Anyway, I deleted the four mystery ones so I should be good. Hopefully I don't get any more phantom entries. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nfused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I don't know what the blank posts were, maybe just some random glitch. I prepped 3 latest Sayu's posts for you today then checked the Drafts list and everything looked in order. Anyway, as Berry said, I can't really read them to decide if they are translation worthy, so just trash the ones you decide to skip.

I mentioned this before, but I keep having this issue and the methods I tried before aren't fixing it. Emoji keep not displaying, like in this post. I think it mostly happens when there are multiple emoji in a row. Other people don't seem to be having this issue though?

p.s. Do very many people READ the Sayu blog translations anymore? All I can see from the stats is that Berryz and C-ute get lots of views. Am I interpreting them right? I'm not sure how else to promote, I'm not a member at any other forums.

The majority of the hits are coming from Hello Online. I assume the Berryz blogs are being linked to their forums for individual group members there.

I'm not sure what's wrong with emoticons either lately... I'll have to ask Zae about it.

I enabled a dashboard widget authors can see. It's Google Analytics and is much more informative about long term hits and shows unique hits. Anyways, it says Sayu is the most popular category.

I don't think that's true. Unique hits are a lot, H!O does not bring that many hits. Advertising does help, but it's hard to say how much. The top pages and posts are determine by clicking on a post, not a category. When people read Sayu, they're more likely to read the category since she has tons of posts. Where as when you do advertising, the individual posts are linked..



P.S. Google has only been tracking since early May.

I started doing that too.



Oddly enough, when we first started this I couldn't care less. Lately it feels really nice to think people are getting something out of what we do. When a certain post gets like 3 reads total, it feels pretty...pointless? Then again, I am mostly translating for myself for practice so...

Yeah, this is just page views since May 4th. The graph above this info in the widget is unique views though.

Looking at the site stats, the individual posts I advertise tend to be toward the top... although I do see Sayu's posts up there plenty too. ^^ And I read them sometimes!!!



Also, at the very top is always the "home page", where people probably link directly to the categories and so, as berry said, the pages for the individual posts don't always get the most hits.



I've never looked at google analytics, but I'm curious to what those different pages are too. ^^ When berry changed the address I guess.



I also certainly feel better posting about them on the forum - I hardly even think of it as "advertising", as much as making it easy for fans to get to the entries. ^^ And the comments they give about them are enjoyable to see as well.

Also, reffering to views, none of our views count, so even if we read it, it won't be counted, so there would probably be more views if our views were counted. That was pretty repetitive, but you get what I mean.

Al - I can maybe try that, but I want to definitely make sure and translate all those of the other 4 C-ute girls. Maimi's posts do still tend to be long. XD Plus part of the reason I stopped it to begin with was because B.G. over at maimilog already does great and very timely (better than I can do) translations for her. It's too bad he won't help us out here too... but he does have a link to b!p on his front page. ^^

Something I've noticed in the past week or so is that B!P hasn't been working on my iPod. I check everyday and get the same message saying the server stopped responding. It's not just me too because I had my friend check on her iPod aswell. Just thought I'd let you know and I hope it's fixable.



Edit: It did work before though, just recently it went all frozen.

Which skin do you use, normal or mobile? It works just fine for me in normal, and in mobile it times out half the time only on the home page. That's because the mobile skin is buggy and it tries to load all the posts ever posted. We know of that and hope to fix that eventually. But as long as you're browsing the individual posts or categories it works like a charm. Could you check that?

edit: New posts are showing up on the home page for BP, but not on the members' pages.

Has anyone heard of "kire ga deru"? So I mostly hear "kire" in katakana when people are angry/cranky. I've been looking it up online and it seems it can also mean to go ballistic on someone. But, in this case I'm not sure.
