S/mileage New Member Audition!

Still unclear to me if the "winner" of the S/Mileage audition has the choice to go to Momusu.



I was under the impression that you could audition for both groups, but I don't see how this can work, given the separate timing of the auditions.



I still prefer Karin for Momusu, because they need the talent more (especially given Riho's injury).

If you win the S/mileage audition that's pretty much it, you got your wish to join an idol group you do not pass go and you certianly aren't going to win one over on the big man and say pass I want to join Morning Musume instead.



Tsunku's looking for two different type of girls with each group. I'm sure if he saw some Morning Musume material in any of the girls in final auditions for S/mileage he would pass them over to the Morning Musume audition if they were already applied to it and make them the big super surprise! Or something silly like that. You know how Tsunku loves his surprises.

During H!P Time I definitely saw Aoyagi singing on that blurred screen singing (I could tell from how they didn't blur her in the booth) and it was her shoes when they showed girls with blocked faces walking in, and it could have been her hair in that chair. I also know that the other girl is Oda because of the shoes.

Oh no...if the only added 3, Miyazaki was probably not added because I bet they added an egg as well D:

Or are they just blurring their faces for trolling purposes and it was just more audition footage?

That wasn't the final members. They always take the prospects into the studio to see how they are when recorded and how they take the director's instructions.

Dayeon needs LOTS of work, and I don't want someone who needs a lot of work going into a group that doesn't need lots of work. S/mileage was pro when they debuted and they really don't need to be dragged down to Musume level.

Save that crap for Morning Musume where it's accepted that underdogs and unpolished gems go to be polished and grow. It's quite obvious Dayeon is still trying to master the language, she has a good voice at times, but the language barrier is getting in the way I think.



But the fact that Tsunku sprung her into the auditions, it makes me fear that she will end up in the group and I personally don't want that. :<

If you mean the first one, then she was told by the instructor to get our because she hadn't improved from the day before at all. So then Meimi said "Please let me do it" and then teacher kept telling her to just leave, and she apologized and got sent to the back of the classroom because the instructor didn't want someone who wasn't going to be serious and improve and whatnot. Same with Yamaga and Dayeon. Although the instructor said that she understands that Dayeon has the language barrier, but because of that she needs to try even harder, or something along those lines.





And I agree with what PKyu said as well. I don't want a girl who needs a lot of work in Suma because that's what MM is for. For example, as much as I love Eripon, with that voice, I wouldn't want her in Suma. Okay, maybe a little, but overall it would be bad for a girl like her who needs to improve a lot to be put in. It's okay for MM though.



I am the only one who hates Fujii's dancing? I really hate when people make their dance moves to big like that. She needs to control herself more... I also hate when people make them too small as well though...

It was the first one. I can understand Yamaga because gurl was dreadful. I'm okay with Meimi's voice. Japan has ruined my ears when it comes to voices.



Looking around at different sites, there's a lot of love for Miyazaki. Of course I'm going to think she's not going to make it because of her age, even though she's my #1 pick beside Meimi and Karin and Akari. She'd be the oldest in the group and that's just a little awkward. I personally would love to see her in Morning Musume. She was awkward enough in the auditions that it wouldn't be bad. But it's so hard to gauge what Tsunku wants for his "NEW" S/mileage. It's easier in a Morning Musume audition because you know he doesn't like perfectly polished girls.



I hope he doesn't try and spring this double audition crap again. It's very annoying because you know some of these girls might spring up again or not. It's like a waiting game and I don't like waiting.

Isn't Dawa 17 as well? And Kanon and Yuuka are both 16 so I don't think it would be too awkward. And even though Sakitty is only 14, she still has always been around people older than her. Miyazaki could fit in.....if she wasn't so nervous. I don't think she'll make it just because she let her nerves get the best of her and made a few too many mistakes.



But then again, it's bad that she's the only one that I can put her name and face together (well, her and Karin).

Dawa is 17, but it's rare now that they pick a newbie who's that old to debut.

Miyazaki has a short idol shelf life in Idol years if she were to debut now. It's why Tsunku and a lot of producers pick the young ones that can be groomed and last long. It's very rare to see idols past their prime. It also depends on what Tsunku wants out of this new S/mileage. If he wants a more mature group, she could fit in just fine, but if he wants to stick with a more childish group, she wouldn't.

It might be rare, but it could happen. I mean, if they keep her around for as long as S/mileage is around, she could still have a least a few good years......and possibly last longer than some of the girls that have now left H!P. Personally, if offered, I would take a few years over not ever being one.



But like I said, I don't think Miyazaki will make it because she made too many mistakes, not just her age. Rio sticks out way too much among the other auditioners. Her dancing motions are just so big, it's as if she's purposely trying to outshine the other contestants.

Not the way Riho did, but I could see her becoming an Egg or something and learning how to better work in a group as a team. Right now, S/mileage is pretty steady and she would upset the balance by flying around like she does while the other girls are trying to dance the choreographies... funny thought.



Karin is perfect!! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/meh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' /> So cute and talented, I think she'd fit into the current lineup so well without shaking the group up too much. I hope she gets in, she's already trained and the rest of the girls seem so hodgepodge, which isn't what S/mileage is about. It's what Morning Musume is about.

A lot of girls made mistakes because they were so nervous. Tsunku and co. know this, and just because a girl does perfectly in an audition does not guarantee that she will be picked.

I think if they were that against Miyazaki's age they would have weeded her out in the beginning.

I just watched the training camp video and for some reason I just wasn't as drawn into it as I have been with MM auditions. For one, there were way too many girls for a final training camp. Maybe this is just because I haven't watched much of the other audition footage, but I found it hard to keep up with them. There wasn't really any chance to get a sense of personality from any of the girls. Putting eggs into a training camp situation also felt unfair, since they had an obvious advantage. I'm sure Tsunku/UFA judge people will factor that in when they choose girls, but watching it as a fan makes me feel like "Well duh pick the eggs they were clearly the best." It was hard to appreciate potential in other girls with the eggs vastly outshining them. The eggs also feel like a natural choice because the current members started as eggs, so they'd all have a common background.



I also felt like the vocal instructor was just too over the top mean. "Just leave! Get out! Go home, you'll never make it into S/mileage with that horrible sense of rhythm." Really? We've all seen the kind of girls Tsunku picks in auditions. And it wasn't even fun because no one cried, they just looked dumbfounded.



Miyamoto is the only one that stuck out to me, and if she doesn't make it into either S/mileage or MM that would be such a huge waste.

I do kind of wish they'd kept the Egg portion a secret the way they did with Morning Musume. It would make it easier to see the other girls' merits for what they are.

It ends at the time the concert starts, but I bet we'll have to wait another half an hour or so to hear the results, I assume they'll do it like the Kyuukies and do it after all the groups have performed their new songs during the MC.

Someone on 2ch said that they're announcing the members at the morning concert. Of course it's 2ch so we can't trust it, but if it's true, that would mean we would be getting the results in about an hour.
