AJ from U-KISS is profiled in today's New York Post:

http://nypost.com/2014/01/08/columbia-student-by-day-korean-pop-star-by-night/

Apparently he's a Columbia University student by day and a K-pop star by night. Isn't U-Kiss performing in New York soon? The piece makes no mention of it.

First time I've seen K-pop mentioned in the New York Post.

They're performing in New York in about a week and a half.

He is a student there but what actually happens is that he spends half the year there and then returns to Korea for the other half to promote with the group.

Yesterday was KARA's final day as a five member group. DSP says they have plans to comeback soon as four.

No word on Jiyoung renewing her contract yet, but I was told hers is up in April. I feel as if she leaves they might disband them altogether.

lol did she? Shit.

#RIPKARA

Now all they have is Rainbow, who are a perfect example if why DSP suck. It really just emphasizes how lucky they were with Kara.

Edit: I went and found the article. Posted after I went to bed. It says DSP are going to try and change her mind but I doubt they will. She probably won't succeed as an actress but its also something she can't do full time as long as she's in Kara, especially with how often they go to Japan.

Checked out Wikipedia and they link this:

So, I guess Kara's pretty much done. Eventhough Seungyeon and Hara are my absolute favourites, I doubt they're just going to continue. But maybe they're going to become a duo.

I know it was about 2 weeks ago (but I didn't knew there was a K-pop section here lol), but fuck everything.
KARA is one of my favorite girlbands, and Jiyoung is my 3rd favorite korean Idol, and maybe I'll never see anything about her :::( . God I'm really frustrated. I'm afraid of the other 3 because we all know Hara isn't the best singer, and I don't know if Gyuri and Seung can stand all these lines while dancing...

Also, that Bone Tower is fucking disgusting, and I always liked Eunji the most, too bad she's leaving as well

For what it's worth, Seungyeon isn't that great a singer (as far as kpop idols go) but she's easily the best singer KARA's ever had aside from Sunghee.

Mnet's full episode about U-Kiss in America.

Just bits and pieces of performances, and them going around and having some fun. I watched the PV for their new Japanese single and it's so odd just having five members.

Crayon Pop's new video just got uploaded a few minutes ago:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WB_3b3ARZ8

MV is super cheap and very uninteresting. Also not digging the high contrast.
Song sounds like J-Pop to me on the first listening.

Hopefully they have another, better MV coming up...

EDIT:
Just read it's just a charity song/MV, so that's why not a lot of money went into it.
It's dedicated to dead firefighters and the families will get the money they make from it.

Very J-pop sounding indeed. It's almost like something Buono! would sing.

Oh crap that guy!

I work with the mom of a girl who goes to uni nearby, and she was telling me about how her daughter met this Korean guy who ended up asking her out. Girl said no, but the mom was telling me this guy was actually big in Korea, and they called him the Justin Bieber of K POP.  I had forgotten about that until now whoa.  So he does exist!  I thought she was making him bigger than he was.

Ha this is so crazy. its a small world after all...

Lip Service - Yum Yum Yum. Eat your hamburgers and drink your Americanos.

There's definitely some e.via level rapping going on here.

I think it's crap.
E.via had some nice speed to her songs, but this is just slow and boring.

I saw this on a website that does nothing to do with K-pop. They posted this as "cancer" lol. This isn't that bad but I just don't like this at all.
I'm a Tymee fan btw, and I think her songs are way better than this, but let's see if this girls come out with a less boring song

And what's with their name? Lip Service srsly?

Sure, too bad It's a spanish website. The user Nacro posted it accompanied with "Right from Asia".
The post's name is "World Day against Cancer". They use words as "cancer" and "AIDS" to describe pics like this, because that humor is simply stupid. They usually use these words to things that are really painfull to watch, cheap MVs, really bad jokes and all that stuff.

I kinda understand that guy because K-pop fans are really used to the genre, but those who aren't used to it would even think that Sixth Sense or Pinocchio are bad songs (or maybe not good enough to be a hit nor to be interesting), because they're asians and the style is different. So if you take one of these people and make him listen to a really bad song like Ñam Ñam Ñam, they'll think it's Pure Cancer.

Did anyone partake in the Rainbow Blaxx online meet and greet today? I miscalculated the timezone conversion and missed the broadcast. :( On a positive note, I saw that I was randomly chosen (15:49 odds) by the members for a bonus item with my order.

Dal Shabet will be doing one on February 24.

I'm getting a DNS error on both links.
What kind of thing was it (and is the Dal Shabet thing going to be) ?

Here are the posters from the product pages.

I really don't know what goes on during the stream. From this recording on YouTube, it looks like they're picking and reading fan messages. The product pages also say that the live streams are translated into English, Japanese, and Chinese.

I want to find a recording of the entire stream now. A friend and I decided to submit the imponderable question, "Do penguins have knees?" as my message. Now that I see they actually read and saw mine, they must have been so confused.

I guess you had to enter these messages before. Do you know how you are/were able to enter ?
