Dunno about that. Often colors are obscured or just plain not displayed properly when it is encoded in such low quality that the number of colors displayed is diminished. You may be able to see some of the base or compositional colors they used in lower quality rips, but you can't always see the full, intended product and the way everything meshes together with the more subtle colors. We'll end this discussion now and come back to it when there is a better rip to speak of.

It's not the typical dancing-sitting around duality that I don't like, it's that you've got these faux-cyber-punk pop singers on one fitting aesthetic and then a totally different set and style, but the exact same outfits that don't match. That's the clash I can't get over because, despite individual failed concepts in H!P, I can't think of a video with two different styles like this that don't work together or on their own.

And I mentioned the lighting because it looks sickly, especially in contrast to the bedroom style with warm colors and flesh-colored skin.

These ladies most experienced in H!P, they have the best sound, and they keep getting sexier. I love how these girls have developed their individual personalities, and that each girl is unique. I totally don't get where the cyberpunk idea comes from. Gothic? I could see that. French cabaret-ish? I can see that too. Even the whole gaudy hooker/stripper lingerie thing, I get, but cyberpunk? I can't see it. And everything in this video fits with those concepts that I mentioned from the outfits, so it think it all works pretty cohesively as a package to me.

Yeah, Captain is already technically the leader of H!P, and their material has been pretty consistently better than MM's since 2009 if not even before that, so I don't think they have much to worry about besides the inevitable time that they are disbanded, even though MM will more than likely continue chugging out mediocrity and remain the flagship for some time after Berryz has left us. Most of the Berryz members are already going to college and doing other things with life and managing to keep the group together for now, but who knows how long that'll last, or maybe they've even been wanting to disband for a while now but have a certain contractual obligation to work there until a set time. Unfortunately since H!P doesn't really give much opportunity for any of their artists or girls to move on to bigger and better things after their tenure there like some of the other idol troupes do, they may go to pursue normal careers in business or another non-entertainment industry after finishing school. Guess we'll have to see.

That's cool. I didn't see it that way. Maybe I could see elements of what you mentioned, but they're so nondescript I couldn't think of a single good descriptor. And none of those things fit the young-kid style bedroom scenes.

I was thinking exactly what you are - if they had given them different outfits in the bedroom scene, or made the rotating sets gothic styled, then this video would be PERFECT. But with them dressed like gothic vampire strippers, posing sexily on a set decorated in flourescent colors... it looks incredibly stupid and jarring.



I reeeeally wish they had either given each girl an Aa, Yo ga Akeru style nightie in their respective room's color, or decorated the rooms in a gothic/victorian/dungeon style to match the other outfits. It would have bumped this video up several notches.

I was watching some old concerts and I had an reoccurring fantasy come up. Since there's no virtually chance for getting new members (and honestly, I don't want new girls) bring back the one who left. I know Maiha left on her own terms to focus on schooling, and she'll probably never come back, but it would be nice. The original eight member Berryz is my fantasy. It's been one of my dreams to have her back, it may have something to do with the fact that she ranks high in my favorites.
