Anyway, I'm just so whatever at this point. They have good singers - they just aren't using them. They have good dancers - they're just letting them sing instead. They have good personalities - they just give them no outlet to show them. At this point, it's kind of like... why bother adding something new when you have everything you need? Haruka and Mizuki are strong singers, not to mention Sakura, Masaki and Zukki. They don't need any voices, really. They don't need any good dancers because the choreography is just not that challenging - it's mostly based around complicated formations and fast paced hand movements. Idk. Idk.

Does Kanon really have problems with the dances? She always seemed like she caught on quick to me.

She had a lot of trouble with Maji desu but I don't think she's had any huge trouble in ages. I think Haruna's caught on pretty quickly too. She's so lanky I think she'll just look awkward no matter how good at dancing she gets.

Bad idea. We'd like to believe that whoever gets in does so based on the merit they show during the audition, and not because they're everyone's darling prodigal child. And I can assure you that she's not everyone's darling, either. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />



If UF management are half-competent at their job, I'm sure they are well aware of her anyway and of the impact she makes on the fandom, especially outside of Japan. And if they are full-competent, they will be extremely careful and scrutinizing of her to avoid any accusations of favoritism, which could turn into a PR disaster if shit hit the fan.



As much as I personally think Cuca is full of adorabz, I don't think MM needs her or anyone else now. Maybe in 2-3 years, when the current gens have matured a bit, and the unspeakable graduation unfortunately happens. Right now, the group dynamics are great and are working miracles in terms of both quality and sales, so there's not reason to stir things.

I do love Cuca, she's really adorable and I love her dedication. And now that she's teaching her little brother Johnny's dances, I kind of want them to both get into their favorite agencies and be an unstoppable idol family.



That said... I'm not really that gung-ho about Cuca this time. She loves Morning Musume, she's cute, and she can dance. When they were adding the 9th and 10th gen, I would have loved to have her. But now we already have great dancers, cute girls, and people who love Morning Musume. Her singing really isn't that good, so if they did add her one of two things would happen - she'd be shoved in the back with Zukki/Eripon/Haruka or forced to sing a bunch of lines she can't handle like Riho.

Totally agreed with this as well as Farrah's post about MM having everything they need and not using all of it. BUT since we obviously have no choice, I'd rather have more Sakuras than more Riho/Ayumis.

I don't know how it would play out to have her in the group. Yeah, she's popular in the internets and everything, but... she seems like "too polished" already, if that makes sense. I think Tsunku prefers girls who aparently have nothing to give and train them until they're OMG AMAZING LAIK BEST MEMBA EVER!

And then you have Konno and Kusumi.



In any case, I guess the hype of having Cuca in the group wouldn't hurt, and in this game between Tsunku and Aki-P (AKB, etc.), he better take her soon under his wing before she starts covering AKB songs and suddendly appears in AKBingo as the newest member of the Akihabara-based group (ala Satou Sumire, Kashiwagi Yuki, and Umeda Ayaka).

With the 9th gen it seemed that way but now after Sakura it seems as if Tsunku is on the hunt for more aces. The ambitious names of these auditions makes it look that way.

I'm guessing 12th gen will be three members, so the group will have 12 people after Sayu graduates in 2014.



It's pretty clear that UFP is very high on Riho and Ayumi, which leads me to believe they will find another Riho/Ayumi dancer type for 12th gen.



I love Cuca, but mainly because she's so devoted to H!P. It's still not clear to me whether she has the look or personality of a great idol.

I have no opinion nor any kind of feelings about her, but the problem with Sakura is that, at least judging from what it seemed to me, the audition was rushed and over way too soon.

Who were the girls auditioning ?

Why should we care about them ?

What are they good at ?



None of these were really answered and the whole thing was over before it even started.

The left over girls were eggs, or turned into eggs as a result of the 11th audition. Ono Haruka was the only one that didn't become an egg, but then she was already in Nice Girl Project.



11th Gen Audition turned into a glorified Eggs audition.

Ruining the group dynamic is what auditions do, so I won't say I want the dynamic to stay the same, because I know it's impossible.

The timing of this reminds me of the old auditions (2nd-5th gens). I hope it ends up like the old auditions and we get a new soloist or two out of it!



I really feel excited, like this might end up as the second coming of the Golden Era. (what's better than platinum? D: I don't know!)

I kind of hope we get 12 member 12th gen too, and I'm going to go ahead and prepare mentally in case he adds three girls, because I will know the time of Sayumi's graduation is upon us.

The first and 2nd gen members averaged 4-5 years? something like that.



9th gen have been in MM since January 2nd of 2011 so aside Sayumi the rest have at least 2 years!



This is the way I see it going down.



Reina leaves, Sayumi will leave either this winter or this time next year. New member joins just before Sayumi leaves.



We have a stable MM for 1 year and then.... who knows!

Yoshi was 5 years in the group before she was leader. Takahashi was 6. Sayumi was 10... also, Mizuki is just 16 right now. If Sayumi graduates by that time, she will be 18. Seems like a better age to load the girl with all that pressure.



So... I really hope they stop all the auditions after this one for a while.



And now I think more of it, adding other 4 girls doesn't seem too bad lol

They'd be 15, but if I remember correctly, Tsunku said the group would never get that big again... meh.
