It seems like all the non-12th gen members get lines, but Kanon and Haruka get the lines before the chorus, which is great!

There be piano! But it's EDM Pop rockish. Very different from what Musume usually gets.

I liked Imasugu immediately so I think that it will be my favorite. I like SUKAtto quite a bit too now, but I need to hear a better version of Oh my wish.

Imasugu is generic jpop. Someone sounds alright (Sakura?) but meh otherwise.

I'll probably wait for better rips of the other two A-sides before judging but so far Oh my wish is the one I like most. Imasugu doesn't quite feel right to me? I think it's that key change in the chorus that does it and I don't know why. ( Plus it sounds too cookie-cutter anime opening song to me )

Kanon has a lot of solo's. The radio rip sounds a lot better, I think I'm really going to like this single. I like that they're finally featuring different girls in each single now that they're not doing coupling songs.

These sounds are way too familiar by now, although I probably wouldn't be bitching about recycled sounds if the song pumped my 'nads a bit more, but it's just kind of ordinary to me. Ordinary song + mailed-in arrangement = "meh."
 
It is nice to hear Zukki getting some solo line love, though. Hopefully it's not just a one-off thing.

H!S showed a live of Oh My Wish. I wish they would have actually showed the dance team dancing more because I would have liked to see the dance other than the dance break which kind of disappointed me.

The beginning reminds me of Ai no Gundan but I still like the song, mainly thanks to the leads (Sakura and Duu ! And I like Kanon's voice here). I hope we'll get to see soon the complete dance of the dance team.

Eri was a bit out of sync with the other 3 dancers, and Haachin's expressions need a lot of work, but I really like this song. Hoping Haga gets better at dancing soon.

Doesn't help the dance team does a move that's almost similar to one from Ai no Gundan's mid-8 break

This is their second single to crib that bit from "Gundan," "Egao no Kimi wa Taiyou sa" being the first. That sawtooth lead is also familiar, but I can't place it off the top of my head.

Pretty much. I'm no EDM expert (I don't even really like it), but I'm rather certain there are a variety of ways to make an EDM song without recycling a whole bunch of bits from previous songs and making it sound like a rehash of all the older songs. I don't think EDM would even be an entire genre with depth to it if all of it sounded nearly the same.

I can only remember what Oh my wish! sounds like, and that's because of extreme bias. But I'll do better once there are actual PVs.

Oh my wish! may sound like everything else, but I love it anyway. They definitely need to start experimenting with more sounds though.


Imasugu Tobikomu Yuuki is nice; I'll need to see a performance or PV for it before I judge, but so far I think it's okay. Not amazing, but good.

I'm not blown away by either of these. Oh My Wish is a rehash of their entire EDM era and Imasugu Tobikomu Yuuki would fit seamlessly into the Platinum Era.
 
The post-Sayumi era is proving to be as underwhelming as the Sayumi era was exciting.

Eh, Sayumi's era had plenty of duds. They're just keeping with the status quo of MM getting the most underwhelming releases in H!P.

This isn't the best release, but it's still better than their last release. It's been a while since I've actually liked all the a-sides on a MM single.
