I could have gotten by on that in Japan. It would buy you a fair amount of rice and vegetables for toppings. You can also get six thick slices of bread, five slices of ham and five slices of cheese for 100 yen each, and make yourself some decent sandwiches. Hell, I could live on just kimchi on steamed rice alone.



I'm wondering if she's allowed to eat all the provided/catered food from work, or if she'll have to pack a lunch every day. I think stuff like makeup also has to be paid for with it, but Sayu is totally fine going without it.

I watched Morning Musume's DVD magazine volume 39 last night, and it's the most epic Ai thing ever. Basically every member challenges her to something:



Kanon in an "air eating" contest

Riho in a tongue twister battle, not because she's good at them, but because she knows Ai sucks at speaking

Erina in a one-sided arm wrestling match (she tells everyone that she even beats the boys in her class)

Mizuki in a chopstick using race

Aika in a speed eating contest (which the staff chose ice cream for! brain freeze all around!)

Reina in a janken battle where you get to smack the loser

Sayu's choice was strange, seeing how long they could french kiss before one broke away... Naw, it was a cute word game.

Risa in a weird game where they had to identify fast moving objects



To quote Risa in it, "This is the most interesting you've been in these last ten years!" Ai was completely into it, laughing, getting frustrated, cursing, smacking people, and just being that goofy country girl that I've always loved. It's been out a bit, but I really hope some subtitling group gets a hold of it.

I was wondering where the clip of Erina busting up the Microphone came from, it was this DVD Magazine. Awesome stuff, and you barely need subtitles to enjoy it. I think her battle with Riho was the best.

Would they sell this at Kinokuniya? (Although they happen to know me there and I'd be embarrassed to be seen buying this.)



How big is the mailing package for the book? (How many inches wide?)

My mailbox fits standard CDJapan packages that contain 3 DVDs (if I order four, the size of the package used is too big and I have to go a mile to the post office to pick it up), but I'm worried that this book would be too big. And I don't want to have it delivered to my office because people sometimes open my packages looking for a tape we have to show and I don't want them opening this one. And I don't want it shipped where I have to sign for it because those couriers never come when I'm home. (I may just have to travel a mile to the post office.
