Sooo Kago deleted all of her blog entries aside from the latest one with the news of her marriage and pregnancy. I don't really know...why that was necessary. But anything I missed over the weekend I can't translate =/ I doubt it was anything major though. All of the links to previous entries redirect to the only one up now, but I'll just leave them as they are.

I translated all of the congratulatory messages to Kago that I could find in the "Special Translations" section. She also thanks Yossi, but I don't think Yossi has a blog? Maybe she just sent her a text?



If anyone knows of any other blogs mentioning the news, please let me know :) It's so bizzare how this is being reacted to. All the DMM members who used to pretend Kago didn't exist and/or slyly talk bad about her are suddenly dishing out stiff and fake love but she's completely ignored by Takahashi and the other current MM members who would have had a lot of interaction with her. I suppose there is still a "in H!P or recently in H!P" ban on Kago talk.

I sent strawberryjam some translation samples and it's time to jump in this thread and join the team, I think. XD



I read through the last few pages of the thread to see if I could figure out what needed doing, though it looks like there's a bit of chaos going on from the holidays. Anyway, I figured I'd volunteer to help out where I can - if anyone needs me to fill in on any blogs that are already done regularly, I'm happy to help with that. Other than that, I could always add a new blog to the rotation, maybe a MM OG (I'm first and foremost a Morning Musume fan) - Yasuda, perhaps, since her post schedule doesn't seem too insane. (I'd love to say I'd try Tsuji, since I usually enjoy her blog, but oh man, post frequency, you'd need to put like four people on her at least)

^ Not sure who you're necessarily a fan of, but since you mentioned MM, Reina's is one that is just picked up as scraps sometimes and doesn't have anyone officially doing it. And is kurikaesu still thinking of doing Risa's? Any Ameba blog is tough for me now, but I make sure to at least keep up with Saki's (Shimizu). Otherwise there's S/mileage's Ayaka I think if you'd be interested...



More MM OGs, if they're around, would be great too though :D

As for Tsuji, I say give it a try! It sounds daunting at first, but I've been covering serial-poster Sayu for a while and I'm here to tell you it's totally possible! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> Please don't feel obligated to translate every single entry. I skip entries all the time - if it just says "please watch this show I'm on" or "I ate this today!!!" or is otherwise really mundane, it's totally not necessary to translate it. If you miss a couple because you're busy, ask if someone is available to help out or just skip them and pick up when you're free again. We want our translators to try and stay on top of the people they're covering, but you don't have to kill yourself doing it. But if you'd still prefer Kei, it would be great to have her too :)

Also, you are in no way obligated to use emoticons. Our emoticon menu is a disaster and scary so I would understand. Usually, we just use substitutes for emoticons, ie. we don't need to use the same exact heart, etc.

Most of my top-favorite girls are either spoken for (Ai-chan, Sayu) or don't have blogs (some of the newer members)... so at the moment I think I'm kind of a free agent.



If Risa isn't being done regularly, I would be happy to pick her up... since she's leader now, it seems right that she should be translated regularly. I'll wait for word on that, I guess. I could give Yasuda a shot, in addition - she seems to post maybe a few times a week and they're not too long - she also uses simple sentences XD; so if she seems like a reasonable OG to pick up (I always did like her a lot) I will definitely volunteer for that. :)



I think I've read most of the info on posting, and I have used wordpress before and am HTML literate, so posts shouldn't be a problem. Did I miss info on getting a login to the wordpress install, or should I just ask here?

If Risa is really graduating, she should be covered until graduation. If you don't mind Batsy/kurikaesu, that would be great.



ALSO, would you guys be open to this idea:

We open a new post for people to send messages to Risa and we translate them and offer to send them to her (not sure in what way yet).

Since we get a lot of comments from people that seemingly want to send a message to the girls..

We still reserve the right to filter out crappy messages though.

I found out about the graduation from Ai-chan's blog this morning. I like the idea of people being able to send graduation messages to her. Hopefully, like Ai-chan, she'll keep blogging after she graduates.



As for Risa, I see her last blog translation is from December 11. Should I maybe start working on the backlog of then up until now? (I just want to make sure I don't step on any toes!) I'm also happy to start on Yasuda, if that's cool - maybe starting from the new year. I think she's my favorite of the OGs who aren't covered.
