Hmmm, but Saki would an egg, so I would be more okay with it. I will more okay if it is an egg, or a talented girl. Tsunku's words provide little comfort. I do love his "eff the haters, I know you will love it" attitude. So boss. While MM's ever changing lineup is interesting, I think the long term chemistry will suffer. I don't know if I can answer if that is the more important factor as time passes. What would there be to gain from having two lineup changing groups?

I remember quite clearly that back in 2004 Berryz was announced as the rotating roster group of the H!P. An idea that was never really used, only to be scrapped and shamelessly recycled by AKB a whole year later. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Let's just hold on to this fact to end the pointless discussion on both sides.



For the record, I can't name a single S/mileage member or remember any of their songe. So, being emotionally indifferent, all this strikes me as a non-event in the sea of other weird/stupid decisions and events by Tsunku/UFA. Whatever happens, happens. A Melon-like group would be nice, but for me to care the group would have to be catering to an audience on average 15 years older than S/mileage does - so I don't see much loss here.

Just like auto-fucking-tune will go away and die a horrible death, hopefully as soon as possible. As soon as the fad has faded away, the casual fans will move on to new stuff and never look back.

She was already going to be the lead. She had been in his plays before. She's AKB for goodness sake, you don't put AKB in a play without making them the lead or a big role, same with H!P. And she is not good enough at acting to cry so much over this and resign from captain of Team K, people were afraid she would quit the group. I must agree. The AKB members know this themselves too. Sometime on talk shows they'll talk about what they should do when AKB starts losing its popularity in a couple years. And when AKB isn't popular anymore and becomes like H!P, there will be a new idol group, and the old AKB fans will go hate on them, it's like a cycle.

Hey, what does everyone think of the age limits for the S/mileage girl? They will only accept 13-18 while Morning Musume sets the bar lower = 10-17. This suggests that they want to ease S/mileage out of the cutesy image they have but keep Morning Musume more "generational" and young.
