Is it just me or should they just not release radio previews until the video is ready?



It seems people at up front don't really get the whole social network, internet "thing".



Look at it this way, they think it's a good idea to play the song on some radio show to ~1000ish people, a high majority of whom are going to buy the cd no matter what the song sounds like, yet they actively go out of their way to ban and mute the copies on youtube, if they are happy for a preview to be played on radio surely they are happy with a preview being on the web?



Fans uploading the music so that other fans can hear the new song is bad apparently.

I'm sure in UFA's mind they need to police the internet of any content from those shows that might prevent people from tuning in. There may also be pressure from the radio show sponsors to keep all show content off the internet as well. It's an out of date business practice, but it's not just UFA, Japan in general is fairly behind on the "online thing."



If anything, UFA is fairly modern for Japan. There are still lots of Japanese artists that don't have youtube channels and/or don't sell music on iTunes/Amazon/etc and don't have an official twitter. As an example of the other extreme, Johnny's doesn't even allow photos of their artists to be used on official websites of the variety and drama shows they appear in, let alone put videos up on youtube or sell music in mp3 format. Their artist blogs are only accessible by a paid subscription and there's not even an agency twitter account. UFA does a decent job using online resources and social networks, I think they'll come around even more over the next year or so.

Happy Daisakusen: Tsunku says that this is a warm, energetic song befitting a concert ending. He wrote it so that the fans and the group could come together as one for a moment.



Aishuu Romantic: The melody is an upgrade that requires both better singing ability and better rhythm. There are feelings of grief, as well as loneliness and uncertain feelings, which the two girls delivered well. He says Sayumi's sense of stability lately is almost scary; her singing, dancing, talking, everything has become stable. He says Fukumura is ever the same, a golden ratio (whatever that means).



Watashi no dekkai hana: This time, he used various tunes so that the girls could bring out their individual personalities. Haruna's voice is starting to grow, and her personality cannot be imitated. He's very thankful that he met her and brought her into MM. Ayumi will rap in a way related to the feeling of the dance. He says that since the announcement of her graduation, Reina seems more determined than ever.



Nani wa tomo are!: He collected the feelings of friendship among like-minded girls, being fleeting, and excellence into this song. Even though it's a mix of voices from 9ki and 10ki, he wrote it so that it could be performed by 9ki only or 10ki only. He says that each of their insecurities or faults makes the song great, and that it can't be rerecorded later when they are better singers. Erina's strength is in her simple-mindedness, much like a young boy, but she also can show her strength as an adult, as well. Kanon's smile is the strength of the 9ki, and she will surely grow more and more. Masaki has really turned into an adult, but she still might have that part of her that bothers the people around her. Kudou's expression has also changed, like she will make the 11ki and future 12ki her rivals.



Daisuki dakara zettai ni yurusanai: A song where singing ability is necessary. A song where it is difficult to tell who is lead. He thought about it as a song to revive the mood during lives (like after a ballad). Riho's dance strength has become very valuable, but her singing is also nice. She is still growing in various aspects of her singing, like pitch, vibratto, note length, and building up her voice. Sakura has only just started, but she will likely come across high hurdles. He hopes she is able to go over them.

Didn’t Tsunku mention Kanashiki Heaven in his description of the Riho-Sakura duet? I guess the translator left that out. I wonder if there is going to be harmonizing. That would be cool, but I don’t want them to sing together the whole time. I think I’m probably most excited about this b-side. I know I complain about Riho's singing a lot, but I do think she can sound very good (or, at least, a lot better than she usually sounds), so I am not without hope that she will do well enough for me to enjoy it.

I'm pretty sure since it says "cds and limited DVDs" and not "singles" it's counting the DVDs since there's 6 versions of the single, not 8.

Boxsets do include the DVDs. Buying the boxset is actually the same price as buying them all separately.

It's not the best song ever but I'm going to reserve my judgement 'til the release of the MV and previews of the B-sides.



The outfits are great and pink is one of my fave colors. The reason I love them is the mix of solid with a print. Makes things pop!
