Abe Mao - Free

I was watching Shugo Chara (shut up) streaming on Friday, and caught a commercial for Abe Mao's new album near the end. I started to look more into her today, since I liked what I'd heard in the commercial, and it turns out this isn't just her first album, it's her first actual physical CD release (at least it is on Pony Canyon).



I haven't found much other than "Free" (ふりぃ), so far, but I REALLY like the PV. You can find it on Youtube pretty easily, although it may also be under the name "I Pretend", since someone thought that ふりぃ couldn't be English since it's not in katakana.



Anyway, anyone else heard of her? Thoughts? I'm really excited to hear the rest of her album. And of course, buy it. Just like you should too, if you like what's on it.

I hadn't heard of her until you linked me, though. I wonder if any of the song credits are shared with Buono.

None of them are, at least none of the ones on her album.



There's a tracklist with a couple samples here, and more samples on her official MySpace. Tracks 4 & 6 (I wanna see you & Anata no Koibito ni Naritai no desu) on MySpace aren't on her album, and track 5 (My Baby) is an acoustic version of a song that will be on the album. 1, 2 & 3 (Free, Hitomishiri no Uta ~Kyoukan shite Moraetara Ureshii tte Hanashi desu~, & want you DARLING) should be on there as is.
