Mano Erina to make major debut in March

Mano Erina's major debut has been confirmed through Hachama, as a Single-V release date was dropped by the company for 3-25-09. The song will be called Otome no Inori, or Maiden's Prayer.



Good to see she's getting a major debut! I personally wasn't a huge fan of her earlier singles, but I think that if they give her good material she will go really far. What are your thoughts?

Am I the only one who thinks she's the most annoying, plastic, and grating girl in all of H!P right now? Her cutesy act is so over-rehearsed and fake that it drives me up a wall every time I see her. And its the same in everything she does. Her first song was terribly boring even though it had good production, because her voice is so bad, but this leaves me with not much to be interested in when it involves her.

She is a bit boring. But she's so sweet! I'd like to get to know her a bit better. I hope she gets some promotion for her debut single.

ManoEri has a very pure quality, reminiscent of a certain type of 80s idol. Her songs are simple and charming. I think she brings something simultaneously classic and fresh to the H!P mix.



Lucky Aura is a little gem, I was really addicted to it for a while.



Her absurdly inane "Mano Points" are seriously adorable; the sour grapes response to Eri's stinginess with the tuna in particular cracked me up.



Sure, everything she does is rehearsed, in the best idol tradition. I don't care, her natural qualities shine through all that.

I've fallen completely in love with her. I wasn't so keen on her at first, but her performance as the opening for Morning Musume's fall tour (added that the day I and a friend went was the first day she started performing Lucky Aura) hooked me in. I couldn't believe how old she was when I found out.



She is plastic and obviously fake. But that's what idols were meant to be. She does have a lot of personality that comes out in her 5 second Mano Points. Though I keep wishing that since Junjun is so eagerly eating the dog food they'd make Mano eat some too.



Looking forward to what a major release will mean, probably atleast some screen time for HP on music shows.



And she'll technically be the only soloist in HP come April X_x.

Are you kidding me? You seriously think she has even the slightest amount of personality show through? All I've seen is the exact opposite, where she just reinforces how uninteresting and awkwardly fake she is.

She has a lot to live up to in H!P soloists, but I don't think she will. Her songs have been catchy, yes, but at the same time they haven't given me any indication that she will be relatively successful. Koharu doesn't, either, and she has been successful, but she has the Kirarin tie-in. She is Ok. I Haven't given her a proper chance yet to decide if I like or dislike her yet, but her voice isn't that good. Surprising from all the accolade she's getting. I downloaded her songs and was like 'ok?'. I still think, after all these years ,Takahashi really needs to be a soloist, come April, she will be the best voice in H!P. Some of the kids could use a chance as well, Yurina, Airi, CHISATO, god when that girl is given a line or two it always kicks ass.

I'll listen to a few more of her songs, but since I don't watch H!P tv shows anymore, because I simply cannot be bothered wasting my bandwidth for it. I'll be basing my like or dislike on her purely on her voice and if it gets any better.

Koharu is successful, but that doesn't mean she doesn't suck, because her voice is still like putting a cheese grater to my brain.
