Since the game is not out, there aren't any benchmarks with different GPUs and CPUs for it.

I just opened the GOG homepage and it said 11 games ready
too bad that it didn't contain my fav. Steam Games Hotline Miami 1+2, because they're also on GOG

btt: got my Uncharted 4 Nordic Ver. today, so I'll probably will play it this weekend.

The system requirement mentioning GTX 480 seems like a funny choice to me. Surely there's a better way to get things across than saying "A really high end card from 6 years ago." I suppose in more modern terms it might be GTX 950 or better? None of the requirements seem too high--part of the benefit of having games that are also made to run on consoles.

The thing that confuses me about GOG Connect is why, after getting agreement from the publishers to actually participate in the program, games will only be available to transfer for a limited time? Unless it's purely a way to try to get heavy Steamers to check back at GOG every week and see what's current.

Steam Controller is 30% off now and I'm wondering if I should give in and get it. I've been wanting a controller for some more casual gaming for a long time now, but I'm wary to get the Steam one because I never got to use it or even hold it for a minute.

But then the controller I always meant to buy was the Xbox One (or the 360 before), and I never used this one either. I have an old (and probably knockoff) DS2 and an N64 controller that I used via USB adapters for emulation, but they don't map too well for controller-enabled PC games which are typically designed for Xbone/360 controller layout.

The Steam one looks very different and I'm interested in how well it works. However, one of the top reviews linking to a video where one of the controllers' designers is talking about future revisions makes me want to wait for version 2.

The trackpads are meant more for mouse replacement, to try and be friendly for PC games that aren't designed with an X360 option. Using stick + mouse is actually my preferred way for playing a lot of PC games, so maybe this controller is barking up the right tree.

But then it's probably like a year for Mk2 to come out and another year for the price to drop. Decisions, decisions...

But I should probably wait until I had a chance to try it out in real before buying anyway.

Bethesda disappointed me as well. I was hoping that Elder Scrolls VI might be coming. I was hoping Nintendo would announce Mother 3 for a worldwide release as well but it'll probably happen eventually. I was also hoping there would be a new Okami game especially since the developers of it have been exploring the possibility of one.

Other than Zelda information and lots of it (or very little of it when you compare the scale of the game) it was a disappointing E3 even more than last year.

I was hoping that Elder Scrolls VI might be coming.</blockquote>It's inevitable, but given that they've still got a lot of Fallout 4 DLC coming I didn't see any possibility of it happening this year. I'm glad at least they're not going to charge PC owners for whatever further enhancements Skyrim Special Edition has.

I kind of grew tired of what had become the Zelda formula, and while the scope of the worlds it presented seemed a big deal in the N64/GCN days, in recent years Bethesda's games have scratched that itch for me. So a Zelda with a larger open world and more interactivity seems up my alley. I just wish so many major Zelda games weren't stuck in the position of being cross-gen games, so they could actually take full advantage of the unique hardware features. In this case it's not doing anything interesting with the GamePad--even less than what the Wind Waker / Twilight Princess rereleases did, sounds like.

I find the concept of Kingdom Hearts interesting. A weirdass crossover that somehow combines Final Fantasy with assorted Disney characters, stories that apparently go off the JRPG deepend, dumb game names like 358/2 Days. BUT the only time I tried playing the first one I was put off. It's been a long time, but I think I didn't like the controls--felt like I was playing something from the PS1 era when not everybody had figured out how to do 3D control well.

The bad news is Rhythm Heaven Megamix isn't getting a physical release in the U.S. The good news is it was released on the U.S. 3DS eShop earlier today.

EDIT: A demo is there also.

The Nintendo 64 turns 20 today.

I still remember how I got mine shortly after it came out in 1997 here with just Mario 64. Hooking it up to the TV in the living room, playing it for the first time while my parents were having coffee and pie in the same room. haha
The N64 has the game I still consider to be the best game of all.

SM64's stages--and even Ocarina of Time's areas--feel a bit quaint compared to the massive 3D worlds we see so often today, but what a difference it was at the time. Also having four controller ports standard was a pretty big deal for multiplayer.

The N64 was the first system I ever played on. For some reason it amused me as a kid that nearly all the games I played were made in my birth year ('97), like they were made for me or something haha.

Never had Zelda unfortunately but I did play Star Fox, Super Mario 64, and Diddy Kong Racing over and over and over again. And I still have all of them.

I beat Xenoblade X after 135 hours. There's still all the after game stuff to do, but I'm mostly satisfied with it. The ending was not the most satisfying, but at the same time if this means there's a sequel one day (probably 5+ years in the future) I'm fine with that.

^Similar. Didn't go quite as many hours and there's still a lot of side stuff available, but... seemed more bother than it would be worth both to try to raise the hearts with all the various party members, and collect all the necessary items for making things like special skells. The ending took some batshit twists, but it definitely made it clear it was from the same guy behind Xenogears and Xenosaga.

EDIT: Speaking of Wii U RPGs, Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE comes out today. I should be getting my copy soon.
