Platinum 9 Released?!?!?!

Post by Sugoi Sama »

Hello!Online - Already up for download. Wtf? I wasn't expecting this for another 3 days!

These songs rock. I'm bouncing off the walls. The album versions rock so much harder. Guruguru Jump <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nceman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />!!!! Eri's voice if sweet as hell, glad she got a solo. Enough of my rambling!

Take Off Is Now <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ek3run.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />!

(Sorry if this is in the wrong place)

I'm sure someone is going to give a better review than that nonsense up there :x

Enjoy!

01. SONGS - Whee HIGH KING album! Not the strongest song, but I guarantee you'll be jumping up & down & going fucking nuts when they open their AX show with this. 3 out of 5 stars.

02. Resonant Blue - Whee best single of the past few years! 5 stars.

03. Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou? - Whee boring song for AEUG! The chorus IS pretty nice though except for the solo one. 3 stars.

04. Take off is now! - Whee How to use SEXY leftover! It has a good beat & I can dance to it, but it's not really grabbing me. Needs more Bob & Doug. 3 stars.

05. Naichau Kamo - Whee Morning Musume's Death Knell Single #8! Still a decent song, but I still like THIS version better. 3 stars.

06. Watashi no Miryoku ni Kizukanai Donkan na Hito - Whee 62%! This is actually a really good SONG, but good lord I DARE you Aika fans to try & convince me her voice doesn't detract from it. "Enjoy" her while you can, cos the bitch be getting sniped at AX. 3 stars. 4 stars if any other MM member re-records the vocals. Even Koharu.

07. Guru Guru JUMP - Whee FUN album track! This is the kind of song I look forward to when a new MM album comes out. 4 stars.

08. Mikan - Whee Bon Kyu Bon Kyu! BOMB GIRL c/w song! This little bastard's actually grown on me after a year of avoiding it. And it works much better coming behind Guruguru than as a standalone song. 4 stars.

09. Jounetsu no Kiss wo Hitotsu - Whee this song's having zero effect on me even after listening a 3rd time. 2 stars.

10. It's You - Whee Sayumi solo! Except her voice is really too weak for this kind of song. If Takahashi did this, instant win. Sayumi should've gotten the Aika song instead. 3 stars.

11. Onna ni Sachi Are - Whee I like this song no better than I did when it was a single! 3 stars.

12. Kataomoi no Owari ni - Whee Eri solo! It's a "nice" song. Eri's a "nice" girl. Isn't that "nice"? 3 stars.

13. Kanashimi Twilight - Whee Yossi & Miki grad single! Oh yeah, it wasn't Miki's, she just fucked her career away right after this single came out, retard. Still a cool song, but I AM a bit disappointed that none of the single tracks here are any different. Then again, "album version"s OH GOD THAT AIKA SOLO LINE WTF IS IT WITH YOU AIKA FANS WHEN WILL YOU WAKE THE FUCK UP are usually just a few extra seconds anyway so I guess it doesn't matter. 4 stars.

SO.. 43 stars divided by 13 songs gives us an average of... 3.583333333 stars, technically rounding up to a 4 star album. 4 stars sounds a little too generous though, so 3 stars it is. This is indeed, by far, the greatest album Morning Musume has ever released this week. I think I'll probably wait until AX to see if it's officially for sale then.

Yeah, most of the limited first prints are reserved way in advance. I reserved mine last week and I'm pretty sure they were getting low then as they seemed to take a while checking the computer to make sure they could process the reserve.

I'll pick it up next week or the week after when I pick up the Wonder/Elder concerts.

Might cheat and download it to hear all the songs in full versions though ^^

I really didn't like the previews I've heard of this album so far, but they always sound better in better quality???

01. SONGS: I really liked the intro until the fake brass came into the picture. Oh hey, it is High-King. I really didn't like this though. They used Sayumi for the right parts, though.

03. Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou?: I really liked this song before, but I wish they used an actual band, though. It would've made this awesome sounding. Just sounds like the song is trapped in a box... Plus, vocals seemed lower volume wise in the chorus than the arrangement.

04. Take off is now!: Didn't like this song before at all. It sounds slightly better being a studio version, but still not a fan...

06. Watashi no Miryoku ni Kizukanai Donkan na Hito: This reminded me of CM ni Ishikawa or something v-u-den would've gotten (Sounds a bit like Ai~Suite Room~ to me). Really cute, though.

07. Guru Guru JUMP: I forgot about Koharu until this song came on <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... stling.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Favorite song on the album, though <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Vocals aren't the greatest, but they're lots of energy <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

09. Jounetsu no Kiss wo Hitotsu: Why do they get two songs? Better than Take Off, but Reina sounded like a little kid with 5th gen. Dare I say Gaki sounded better than Takahashi in this?

10. It's You: I really hated her talking parts in this. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Good attempt by Sayu, though. Oh hey Takahashi. Ekizo na DISCO part 2. I think I would've liked Eri in this better? She has a breathier sound than Sayu.

12. Kataomoi no Owari ni: This song sounded kinda like something they'd give Mano <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I liked the bridge to the song, but overall the song is pretty generic to me... I thought Sayumi should've gotten this song more than Eri, though. Real nice vocals, though. Hi Takahashi. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... deways.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Now I know why all these songs are Tsunku left overs <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Probably won't listen to this again

I would probably try places like YesAsia; they still have it. I guess CDJapan only reserves a certain number of copies from the manufacturer, and then those get snapped up pretty quickly.

I don't know what the Kinokuniya in NY is like, but at least here in San Francisco the bookstore just keeps those Limited Editions. I found LE editions of Ribbon no Kishi and Berryz's 2nd album years after they were released. O_O

As for why the album's out pretty early, I guess it could be from the sample albums stores get, or it's from a Chinese source - I was in Hong Kong this winter break and found the releases out the Saturday before the day they were supposed to be released.

01. SONGS - Doesn't compare to Genki+, but this is a pretty nice fun opening. I'm still not sure about the autotuner in this.

03. Ame no Furanai THIS IS AN UNNECESSARILY LONG ASS SONG TITLE - I love the fuck out of this song, despite its title. Not much to say, since we've all heard this song over and over, even with different arrangements, but yes. I do love it.

04. Take off is now! - I don't cream my pants over this song like a lot of people do, but it's definitely not bad. It's just missing some sort of catchy hook.

05. Watashi no Miryoku ni Kidzukanai Donkan na Hito - I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THIS "GEOF" PERSON IS TALKING ABOUT, BUT THIS SONG IS INCREDIBLE IN EVERY WAY. This is actually probably my favorite non-single track on the album. It's fun and cute and Aika!!! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

06. Guruguru JUMP - FUCK THEY SNUCK A KIRARI SONG IN A MORNING MUSUME ALBUM GET IT THE FUCK OUT ALKHDF;ASHSDKGHDSK;LH

09. Jounetsu no Kiss wo Hitotsu - Super generic and boring. I do like Reina and Takahashi's voice in this a lot, though.

10. IT'S YOU ! ! - God, everything about this song is funny in the most wrong way. This really should've been a Takahashi/Reina solo. It doesn't fit Sayu at all. It actually would probably be really good with a different singer.

12. Kataomoi no Owari ni - This reminds me a lot of older Morning Musume album tracks. Like, Papa ni Niteiru Kare or something. And ERIIII! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I wasn't sure about this when I heard the preview, but fuck this song is adorable. I love it.

AND A RANKING!!!

1. Watashi no Miryoku ni Kidzukanai Donkan na Hito

2. Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai darou?

3. Kataomoi no Owari ni

4. SONGS

5. Guruguru JUMP

6. Take off is now!

7. It's You

8. Jounetsu no Kiss wo Hitotsu

Songs - I ADORE this song, I have ever since it was just this random radio preview. I really don't like the screechy harmony, it sounds off key to me at times. I also don't like the auto-tune on the "sing a song" lines- I don't have this burning hatred for auto-tune that some do, but oh my god, the blocky scratchiness of it is what happens when I use ghetto auto-tune settings on my laptop XD It's just ugly and not professional. But aside from that this song is perfeeect!

Ame - I'm never sick of this song *.* Oh hey, it's not the digital release one! It's all group like and has the harmonies! I'm so pleased!

Take Off Is Now - I didn't much care for it in the concert, it just felt like . . . H!P has been releasing all this faux R&B songs lately that are all the same damn song. And it's not even a good version of that song. I mean, it's not BAD, but it's nothing new. I DO like the chorus though. I hope Tsunku reuses it in a different song like he does sometimes <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Watashi - Awww Aika's so cute. Keep on truckin'! Nothing stands out about this song, ever. It's like they literally sat down and went "Let's write album filler. I'll get the chips."

Guruguru Jump - Fun H!P is back! I've loved this song since the concert <33 Koharu even sounds pretty decent! THIS is why I listen to H!P. Dorky ass songs you pray no one overhears you listening to. Though I will probably forget about it in three days <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> That's how H!P works.

Jounetsu no Kiss - Hey that R&B song is back! Hello good friend! Waiting for it to get interesting aaaand it's not.

It's You - jalsjfdl what this is my new favorite song on the planet for all the wrong reasons. Of all the things to do with our leftover Maki songs, we give them to SAYUMI?? She's trying so hard. I will play this at my wedding. Oh god. HEY MY BOY~

Kataomoi no Owari ni - God I love Eri so much but I KNEW her song would be ridiculously generic. She can do so much more!

Overall the only unreleased track I liked past "Well isn't that a nice H!P song!" on first listen was SONGS. Some I'm on the fence about, but overall nothing really amazed me. Well, SONGS and It's You but for different, more special reasons. The giggling . . . oh god.
it's just. Us finishing what we started in that hotel in Little Tokyo. - TnA

01. SONGS - Not bad, but doesn't really stand out to me in any way. I kinda like the autotuner, though.

02. Resonant Blue - Still my favorite MM single. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

03. Ame no Furanai - I was kinda disappointed by this arrangement. The arrangement of the (live? I forget) version that leaked months ago was so much better sounding than this, but this definitely isn't bad. I wish they didn't drown out the voices of Jun/Lin during their solos.

04. Take off is now! - This is my personal MM all-star lineup, but I wasn't amazed by the song. =/

05. Naichau Kamo - Has grown on me a bit.

06. Watashi no Miryoku ni Kidzukanai Donkan na Hito - Aika sounds pretty good here! I also really like the arrangement.

07. Guruguru JUMP - As much as I didn't want to like this, I kinda did, but again, nothing really amazing here.

08. Mikan - Yeah I still like this song, despite it's unpopularity.

09. Jounetsu no Kiss wo Hitotsu - My all-star lineup disappoints me again. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> I really wanted to like this and Take Off, but I just find them to be mediocre and somewhat boring.

10. It's You - Every time I see the title I think of this. Song is alright, Sayu sounds alright (Which I guess is good for her), everything is simply average.

11. Onna Ni Sachi Are - Still hate the outfits in the PV, still a great song.

12. Kataomoi no Owari ni - I remember really liking the preview of this, but for whatever reason I can't recapture the feeling. I still like it, though, Eri sounds really nice.

Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed, but the album isn't that bad. My opinions will probably be tweaked over time, as they usually tend to be.

Tanaka Nao is such a pimp. That dude almost always comes up with arrangements I appreciate for album tracks. "Songs", "Take off is now!" and "It's You" are all fun, varied and interesting arrangements. 2 of them are even performed well! (Which isn't to say I don't love It's You - it's anti-quality makes it freaking awesome, but anyway).

Other than those 3 and the singles (which are a pretty good bunch overall), there's the super-long song that has been around forever, which is pretty nice (and a great use of group vocals... haven't heard that out of H!P much for a while). Nothing else really grabs me, but it's all perfectly decent stuff. I found it to be a really listenable album start-to-finish, slightly more-so than Sexy 8.
Until only memories remain...

01. SONGS

Really like this as an opener... I liked the autotune until it got to be a little too much for me at the end. Only other complaint is that there is so much going on in the song at once, but I still like it just fine. It's one of the stronger album-only tracks.

02. Resonant Blue

Still one of my favorite MM singles ever, easily the best track on the album for me. <3

03. Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou?

The only version I knew of this before was the Ice Creamusume version, which is more solo-oriented than this version, so it was a little different than I thought it would be. Although I would have liked more solo time, it works really well as a group vocal song, too, kinda like Ship! To The Future and Dekkai Uchuu ni Ai ga Aru. I love it.

04. Take off is now!

I like this song, but it takes a little getting used to. The combination of Reina, Risa, and Ai is just perfect for me though. One of the best non-singles for me.

05. Naichau Kamo

A decent song, but generic for a single. Same type of sound as some of the other singles, but it is catchy. Not bad, but not the best.

06. Watashi no Miryoku ni Kizukanai Donkan na Hito

I was hoping for better vocals from her by now. They're not ears-bleeding bad, but they still detract for me.

07. Guruguru Jump

Kill it, please.

After reading so many people saying that Koharu's vocals weren't bad in this, I was all set to give this a chance... Big mistake there, Koharu still sounds like a tone deaf anime character. Combine that with Lin Lin, whose voice I strongly dislike also, and there just wasn't any hope for me liking this. If it was sung by different members I would feel entirely different.

08. Mikan

I love this song even despite it being Koharu-heavy at times. It's just got that happy Morning Musume feel and a chorus that makes you want to jump up and down. Great stuff.

09. Jounetsu no Kiss wo Hitotsu

BORING.

10. It's You

Tee Hee, Sayu is trying to be sultry. It's amusing, and the song could be gold with vocals by Ai or Maki (really sounds like something that was inteded for her). Sayumi has gotten way better, but she can't pull this off, it's just silly with her voice. I still like it the best out of the 3 solo tracks though, which is something I NEVER thought I would say. So good for her for improving, but boo for Tsunku for not realizing her limitations.

11. Onna ni Sachi Are

I loved this single, I thought it was catchy and cool from the first listen. Dancy, and fun to sing along with. Yay!

12. Kataomoi no Owari ni

Kinda blah.... Eri's vocals are fine, but the song is so filler. I mean, it's cute, and pleasant to listen to, but not memorable.

13. Kanashimi Twilight

Not one of my favorites, actually. I didn't like Miki or Takahashi's vocals in this, and the Aika solo line is painfully bad (She was good in Egao Yes Nude, so I don't know what happened...). I don't know, this song just never really caught on with me. I skip it almost every time it comes up on my MP3 player.

Half of the album really worked for me, the other half didn't. Kinda like Morning Musume's entire line up right now, actually.

Still 100000x better than Cover You and Sexy 8 Beat for me, so that's good.

Except for a few outliers, like Guru Guru Jump, It's You, and Kataomoi, the album is pretty consistent in sound (album is dance and r&b heavy), which is a good thing. A past criticism I've had with their albums is that they're all over the damn place. I think it's a pretty solid album.

Seriously, and this makes me really think most of these tracks are from Maki's secret vault.

Tons of Tanaka Nao, synthy, ass shaking tunes, and the fact that I really like this album.

Totally meant for Maki and the songs work so well together, even the singles. (Just as How to Use Sexy blended so well)

Also, I think this direction was to make them more compatible with the US, not just the anime crowd, more like the MTV crowd. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' />

"Remember those girls with meat strapped to their heads? Well... this isn't them, except for ..her and ..her, but listen to this anyway!"

[Guru Guru Jump] is probably a lost Berryz track or a "smallest of the 3 groups" shuffle unit that never happened. It's cute. The chorus is very Chu! Natsu Party. It's an unusual combo, but it probably makes Koharu easier to digest.

[Ame no Full of words I can't remember Darou?] is meant for Sakura Gumi, which would have been pushed to Puri Puri Pink, but then they got the other song with the really really long title. After the Chinese lines end, I swear I hear some random white guy singing the chorus, if you remove the front vocals, it's very clear. This is really good, probably the only slow song that I wish was longer. Maybe the lack of midway-instrumental-break throws me off, because lyrically it isn't really missing anything. Well, the intro & ending equal about a minute combined, so it's a good length overall.

I was talking to Pi about [Take Off is Now] and she made the comment that it lacked bass and I was thinking how is that possible, but the bass of this song acts as treble or something so it's really buzzy rather than boomy. It's interesting and confusing. There's a really strange high voice in the backing vocals, I cant tell if it's a girl or Tsunku. Also, I love this song more than ever. I feel like it might become a single one day.

[Watashi no really long title that is sung alone] sounds like Aika received Tokito Ami's music.

Also, Eri's solo sounds like something Tokito Ami would sing if her career existed beyond her blog.

I didn't hate Jounetsu, there was just something lacking about it that made me wonder why the triforce got stuck with it. The chorus is okay, I liked the instrumentals, it just doesn't TAKE OFF. I do like Takahashi wailing, she's at least trying to make the song do something, but it's not happening. It seems incomplete, but not in the sense that it doesn't have 50,000 effects like the other [SONGS]. It seems unresolved, maybe It's me, is it?

[SONGS] lots of HIGH(高) not enough KING. Actually, Takahashi does that distinct High King method of singing very well. I love the sort of army march chant part and then the chorus which transforms into this Yah! Aishitai sound. Also the so-o-o-o-o-o-oooo-o-ng effect is weird, but I'm okay with it because they kind of made vocals act as instrumentals. The piano and strings are something that I always enjoy from Nao, but they are often overshadowed by the synths. I like the oh~O~oh~oh~ at the ending because it actually introduces something new to the song right before it ends.

Top 3: SONGS, Take off is now!, Guru Guru JUMP!

Yeah I know, how did that happen.

I haven't cared about an MM album this much in a long time. (Not a moment too soon.)

However, I just received a CD in the mail from a band that hasn't had an album since 2005, so I don't know how often I'll listen to this. They'll battle, but I'll find time for both.

Oh well, I'll always hear Take Off is Now! through the speakers during Skype. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Hey, tvstation lists a different song order...

雨の降らない星では愛せないだろう・.SONGS・.リゾナント ブルー

・.Take off is now!・.みかん・.私の魅力に 気づかない鈍感な人

・.グルグルJUMP・.情熱のキスを一つ・.It's You・.女に幸あれ

・.片想いの終わりに・.悲しみトワイライト・.泣いちゃう

Naichau as the last track may have been a better closing than Kanashimi, because it seems so tacked on, like "oh and here's this really old track. We almost forgot!"

So yeah, It's You is somehow my favorite song on the album. I'm not sure how that happened, but I love it. I love the fact that they shoved this song to Sayumi and not the typical Takahashi or Reina choice. It's about damn time Sayumi attempts a "sexy" song, and wow, she actually sounds DECENT singing lately.

I guess I just like the fact that the stereotypical sexy song wasn't given to the stereotypical sexy song singer. (Alliteration ftw).

[quote name='Madara' post='62292' date='Mar 15 2009, 09:54 AM']I was going to order the Limited Edition w/DVD, but it's already listed as out of print on CDJapan.

And it hasn't even come out yet! Is that even possible???[/quote]

CD Japan is only guaranteed a small number of Limited Edition copies from the distributors. Once the pre-order numbers exceed those, they list the album as "out of print." Even though this is not technically true, keep in mind. Sometimes, if they receive more copies later on, they will change the disc to being purchasable again. This happened with a number of albums and singles, back when I used to order from them years ago. But there's no guarantee this will happen, nor how soon or even when. If you want to be sure you nab the album, you can easily find it at Asahiya Bookstore. They get new releases within a couple days of the release date, and they always get multiple copies of the Limited Edition. I believe this is true for Kinokuniya as well, although I haven't shopped there in a much longer time. Whereas with Asahiya, I was a regular customer there up until about fifteen months ago.

And it hasn't even come out yet! Is that even possible???[/quote]

Following your suggestion, I took a chance and called ahead to both stores from my office. Kinokuniya didn't have either edition at all, but Asahiya had both, so I walked up after work and picked up the Limited Edition w/DVD. I'm listening to the CD right now.

Thanks.

My first listen? I'm not crazy about this one. I'm glad to have a CD with "Mikan" on it, which has gradually become my favorite MM single since "Egao Yes Nude." And it's great to hear Yossi and Miki on "Kanashimi Twilight." But aside from those, nothing's moving me...yet--although I think a lot of these may work better in live performance.

The DVD that came with the Platinum 9 CD contains nine different versions of the "Naichau Kamo" video, each one spotlighting a different member. No Dance Shot version, although the nine versions are followed by a live performance of the song taken from the winter concert. That's the closest thing we get to a dance shot version and it's pretty nice, easily the best thing on the DVD. I'm not crazy about the song, but it works in live performance.

Of the nine video versions, the only one that makes any sense is the one spotlighting Ai-chan, because she actually sings a lot of the song. The other videos just show static closeups of the member in question over the parts where other people sing, so we don't get many dance shots. It's kind of pointless. The only other one I watched all the way through was the one with Eri, because she has grown on me these last couple of years as she's become one of the group's chief assets. She has a lot to offer. They should give her more to do.

I gave all the songs on this album 4 stars, with the exception of Ame no Furanai and Onna ni Sachi Are at 5s, and Mikan and Kanashimi Twilight at 3. All of the songs each have different charm points, but none are really outstanding, as there usually is at least one per album. The two I like best and the two I liked least I had heard before, so I don't have too strong of an opinion on this as a whole right now.

Some of the songs sounded like stuff Ayaya should've gotten in her prime, which then led me to the conclusion that this album needed more brass. MM has been lacking good brass lately.

[quote name='Tallgeese' post='62381' date='Mar 16 2009, 12:33 PM']Except for a few outliers, like Guru Guru Jump, It's You, and Kataomoi, the album is pretty consistent in sound (album is dance and r&b heavy), which is a good thing. A past criticism I've had with their albums is that they're all over the damn place. I think it's a pretty solid album.[/quote]

Yes and no. I love album cohesion, but part of what I've loved in MM's previous albums is that they've been all over the place. I just appreciate the variety more from them, I guess. The cohesion is what I disliked about Maki's 4th album.

Pretty good album. I was expecting shit, and I'm happily surprised to be wrong. I dig the ersatz reggaeton of "Take Off Is Now!". "Songs" is sweet, to the point where I don't mind the excessive auto-tune. "It's You" would've been totally bad ass if someone who can actually sing had sung it. "Ame no furunai..." is a solid, if predictable and hackneyed, ballad. About the only songs I don't like are "Guruguru Jump" and "Watashi no Miryoku..." I hadn't listened to "Resonant Blue" in a while, and hearing in the context of this album reminded me of how good it is. It's one of the very few later-day MM singles that can hang with the Golden Era. Overall: not as good as Rainbow 7, but not too far off, either.

I really think that in 'It's You' it sounds like Sayu is saying 'Oh shit its you!' at one stage. Takahashi was very obviously building her voice up in that song as well. I really, do NOT like Guruguru Jump.

This album isn't bad though, and I will agree with the Mitsui solo, the songs good but her voice really isn't, every time her voice goes up a bit, my ears hurt a tiny bit. ;__;
