C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
The PV's up on Dohhh Up, and I'm including a youtube link for redundancy and in case your connection doesn't like Dohhh Up! or whatever.
It's also my first listen to it, and man, is it... boring. It does look like that line distribution appears to be... fairer, what with giving Mai the start to the song. There's still spades of Airi and Maimi, but they didn't seem as 'in your face' like oh, Meguru or LA LA LA.
The PV is incredibly boring, to be honest, and as I'm not really fond of this 80s music, so I'm going to pass some more on this song. Frankly, if the PV had been more entertaining (sadly, we don't have the lyrics yet) like what Dschingis Khan did for Berryz, I'd be more entertained. There's nothing incredibly bad about the song - maybe Nakajima seems to have improved - but there's nothing interesting, either.

Well, that was an H!P PV! It has slightly more interesting art direction than some of the others, so hey. Take what you can get.
I love this song so much! It's my favorite H!P a-side in aaaages. I don't even normally like 80s rip offs but something about this just vibes. It helps that, for the most part, C-ute actually sounds GOOD. It's probably because of the amount of harmonies and overlaps and processing and all the little tricks done in the mixing and arrangement to hide the fact a group can't sing but hey, it's hidden, and I am most pleased.

Re: C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
That PV and dance were very disappointing. :< And I really wanted to love this song too.
It started off promising, then fell apart into a pit of dance and solo shots that just had no character what so ever. And then the dance break where they look like there at a ho-down that took place in some 80s techno club and trying to imitate chickens as they peck for food.
The whole dance just seemed like a mess start to finish. They were just trying to fit to many moves into one song.
Chisato looks like her sister with her hair up, but looks fine in the solo shots.
I wish they had done something when they did the electronic voice overs instead of just leaving it.
And the editing was horrible, it felt like they just added in solo shots whenever they felt like it.
I think Berryz wins the 80s PV/Single battle.

Re: C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
I usually try to skip out on concert and radio previews, so this is my first time hearing this song. Both the song AND the PV are pretty awful, though if the song had been good I probably wouldn't have noticed the PV as much. This has just about every element I hate in 80s music going on in it, and what the hell is with the Mario game noise over certain lines? It's so randomly thrown in there I thought there was some glitch in the streaming. Aside from Edo no Tamari II, and three tracks off of their 3rd and 4th albums combined, I haven't liked anything they've done since Tokaikko Junjou. There's still the b-side, but Berryz has way overtaken C-ute for me lately. As much as I love Maimi, even she's not enough to save this one for me.

Re: C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
I really like this - VERY catchy! It seems like Mai has an unusual amount of lines - I wonder if she got Kanna's?
The sound effects were a little jarring at first, but now I think they're pretty cool. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
I don't think it's as good as Dakishimete Dakishimete, but it's the only C-ute A-side I've enjoyed in a while!

Re: C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
I adore the first 20 seconds of so of the PV, with the lights off and the shadow effect. That was fantastic on so many levels.
The rest was ok, I kinda liked the dance but didn't feel as high energy as the song does. And where's the 80s hair? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Overall, decent PV, but mostly for the beginning. And I still like the song. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Re: C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
I like the PV for the most part except the dance. It just sucks and the PV seems to do a good job highlighting it. One part that stuck out was the bye bye bye portion. The exaggerated waving was expected but the weird both-hands-up motion was awkward. There are much worse dances but I was hoping for better.
The song is still pretty good though and the 6-some seems to work (sorry Kanna).

Re: C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
Despite having expectations of a decent PV, I thought it was a great setting and the background for the close-ups were nice I suppose. I kinda liked the dance, but it seemed to me that it wasn't well rehearsed, so it just looked a bit sloppy imo. I love that they are experimenting harmonies with some of the girls. The only thing I don't like about the song is the effect when Saki sings here solos. Other than that, it's an awesome song.
Set done by Gypchan!

I love the part of the dance break where they look so awkward that the lights just go off for a moment to hide the disaster. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ohyeah.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':eekrun:' />
The song is great, but the vocal effects just make it sound like your file is corrupt, rather than some intentional cool effect. If it's an 80s inspired song, it doesn't really need a distortion gimmick.

No I heard it too. It's pretty god awful actually. Intentional digital corruption errors do not sound good. Please never do this again.

Re: C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
It was unfortunately intentional, which sucks is because it's on Nakky's lines. Anyway, I wish it were better, but I must say that Mai and Chisa are looking really pretty.

Hahaha I actually LOVE the digital distortion effect! It's so... typical jpop gimmick-y. And definitely adds to the fake retro feel.

Re: C-ute - Bye Bye Bye PV
This is the first time I've heard the song at all. I'm gonna say this is their worst single to date, by a long shot. The only other contenders are Blue Jeans and Soku Dakishimete. The PV is also lame, especially because its very obviously missing something without Kanna being there. This sucks, but hopefully they'll be back to normal lineup and a good song by next single. The song doesn't really sound like much of anything in particular, though it has some traces of older late 80's/early 90's anime styled Jpop, but beyond that, it's just plain boring. And yeah, the digital distortion thing is extremely annoying.

OH I didn't even notice Kanna wasn't in in, ahaha. Suddenly I like the PV better. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':eekrun:' />

That's a big no on that one. Forever Love is one probably in my top 3 singles from them so far.

I don't see how the PV for Forever Love is any less boring than this one, though.

The dancing is a lot more entertaining, they have better outfits, and Kanna is still there, so there <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whatthe:' />
When I mentioned the 2 other runners-up for most boring, I was referring to the song itself, not so much the PV.
