Guardians 4, new Shugo Chara unit

Starting this April 4th, a new unit will come to sing the new opening and ending of Shugo Chara.



Based on the Guardians characters, this unit come to live.

Mitsui Aika

Sugaya Risako

Kumai Yurina

Nakajima Saki



The unit first single will be released on May 27th with the title "Omakase! Guardian" and it will become the new opening of Shugo Chara.

BUT I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE CAPES! OMG I ROCK!

It was an upgrade to school uniform cosplay, and apparently member upgrade as well.



I'll miss Kanon though. :< (Maybe they'll use the girls as back up dancers? xD)



I find it ironic that there's just SO much H!P love in the opening and endings and yet no one from H!P has made it into an actual episode of the anime series. I hope this means there will be a shift away from the charas now and more focus on the guardians in the anime series.





Oh! And Guardians 4 are only going to be doing the Opening, not the ending. Buono still has stock on the endings. (As well they should!)

I wish they didn't have Saki in the group... Nice to see them put Yurina in something. I think she was about the only kid they didn't use in a side group... Chinami I think is the only other one?

For this group, I really hope it will be devided fairly (like aika and saki previous group) and not the obvious of risako taking all the lines...

Maasa and Risako were both in 4Kids with Airi and Mai (it was before Berryz and C-ute, but it was still a group.)

Mai was also with Koharu in Kira*Pika

This is awesome. Two awesome Berryz girls and my fave C-ute girl. Aika..I'm ashamed to say I know practically nothing about the girl so i'm not going to say it's good or bad. I hope their songs are cute! Those outfits remind me of Tanpopo.

These are pretty much my thoughts exactly, aside from adoring Aika XD I do think Risako can sing - she has her moments when she can be annoying and uses an odd voice, but overall I don't think she's bad at all. None of the other three are terrible on the level of Koharu or something, but they all have a tendency to be off-key or grating fairly often. I'm always open minded when it comes to these anime tie-ins though, because sometimes they can be a total surprise. I remember being really wary of Buono when I first heard of them, because Airi hasn't been as good as her early days and Momoko's voice used to drive me insane, but somehow that unit is a lot like early Biyuuden - it makes each of them sound their best. So who knows, the same could happen here.

See, I think this is great.. Risako and Aika have the same vocal quality to their singing and energy level, and Yurina's voice is similar as well. Saki on the other hand will be really out of place. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hatthe.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wheely:' /> I really like Risako lately (and her voice), and AIKA! I'm so happy they're doing something together.

I don't know though - Risako hasn't grown out of her shout-singing. On the other hand, anime-songs lend themselves well to shout-singing too...maybe it can work.



I used to love Risako but now I can't stand her. Yurina, however, would be interesting and I am curious to see how Aika will interact with them. She comes off as pretty aggressive and mischievous whereas Risako & Yurina are as lively as a pet rocks. I know nothing about Nakajima except that she needs braces to reel those teeth back in.



They better be more Buono-awesome and less Egg-unit sucky.



Also, when will they use Chinami? She is so cute and cheerful that I'm surprised they don't throw her into an anime group too.

They are grooming Chinami to be the next Rika. Now that Rika's gone, they need a good replacement. She needs another year or two I think before she's aged to Rika-perfection.

Ehh, for me the group's line up is like Mediocre^4. Not a fan of any of the girls, but don't avidly despise them. None of them have very good vocals on their own but their voices might work well together (I agree with the Risako/Aika comment there - their voices have similar qualities so they might compliment well).



If they are given really good material they could overcome their vocal lacking. Berryz vocals used to be terrible but I still couldn't get enough of Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai because the song itself rocked.

We'll start with the Happy Rika, Chinami's already got the skin tone down and then work up to the sexed out Rika once that stops working for her.
