I watched the dance shot and laughed and laughed and laughed. What a horrible dance. My favorite part is when they run around in a circle, throwing their arms up wildly, praying to the idol gods they get more lines and never have to do stupid dances again. Another awesome part is where Koharu is being possessed by the idol gods and she spasms in time to a pretty quiet part of the song and the other girls are striking an awesome pose. They either need to get SweetS's choreographer or go back to the cutesy dances. This in between thing is more hilarious than cool. Though I will say that I want Eri to head a dance oriented subgroup. The girl can groove and she has some beautiful thighs.

I've watched the Music Fighter appearance and the music video.

Do they have two versions of this song ? Because the live on is only ~2 Minutes long, whereas the music video is more than double that time.



The dancing seems to borrow a lot from the Onna ni sachi are moves, except for in slow-motion and without the jumping... and combined with the boring song and overly boring dresses, it's really nothing interesting. =/

I never tend to buy singles, considering them a waste of money. Don't know what convinced me to buy this one.



Could be that the single didn't require me to listen to it 5 or 6 times before I could stand it, as well as the very catchy C/W.



As for them being #1, it could be because this is the first time in a while that they haven't released a single at the same time as some other super-popular group/singer.

I actually like this song a lot. The PV helped a lot, but it's less of the image of, "WE ARE SO COOL" which was ultimately boring unless it was Resonant Blue or Shabondama (still cute though) style. This isn't really back to cute, silly MM that many people started to like MM for, but I still like it.

From what I understand, Love Forever has a major drama tie-in.



Should be interesting to see what the final numbers are just to see if this was a slow week or MM is actually up there competing with these folks.

For numbers we know so far, they've sold 31,972. They could have sold as much as 43,800, but that would be a really optimistic look at it (I took the #3 numbers for the two days they've been at #5 and subtracted 2 to get the highest plausible number for the #5 spot). But, like with this single, it's hard to say how the other singles have done because of all the bouncing around and Oricon not giving more numbers aside from the top 3. The other thing to take into account is that most H!P singles fall off the charts (or go really, really low) after the first week, where as some others may have more staying power.

Love Forever is just an ass kicker in general. I heard it was a drama tie-in too, and the fact that it's a collaboration between two popular artists right now only gives it more strength. If Morning Musume can beat them, more power to 'em!

The instrumental for this is really nice. Yeah, I hear the Hirata-ness now.



I thought I'd be sick of 3、2、1 BREAKIN' OUT!, but since I was only familiar with the short version, hearing the additional verses made it 10 times better. The 2nd half is the best part of the song. It's a fun song, but I can still only imagine it as a B-side.



Wow, there was actual effort in the filming of the single's dance shot version. It had angle changes and zooming. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':geof:' /> See, was that SO difficult UFA?

One of the best dance shots I've seen. (no matter what people think about the actual dancing)

This isn't just the extra footage from an unattended camera slapped on a DVD, it's like they tried to make a PV.

It's at least as good as the regular PV for Sexy Boy ~Soyokaze ni Yorisotte~. Well, this has an interesting background instead of a white room, so I'd say this is better.



I love the intro where they whisper a secret into the next girl's ear until it reaches Takahashi.

This would be the same order as how the girls are placed on Cover-A <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... lesson.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> but Risa and Eri are switched.

You know, I'm not that big of a fan of the A-Side, but I've just gotta say that I've been rocking out with my metaphorical cock out to 3, 2, 1 Breakin' Out for the last half-hour. It's a choice piece of the processed cheese that I've come to expect from Morning Musume. It's fun, you know? I love the lines where they don't stop to take a breath (it reminds me of the days in grade school where we'd shout out lines from The Offspring's Bad Habit at the top of our lungs); the interspersed beeps and bloops (the Korean guy who made the cellphone-themed music video made a good call!) and how the girls play with their words...

Totally. Also, I'm impressed that they actually made good use of Koharu and Sayumi in the funny-voiced tachiagare line. Even Aika shone for me with her "Mickey Mouse" looks and outfit. You gotta admit -- she's getting pretty cute!
