Many of you were too young to be aware of the Chinese army's brutal and bloody suppression of pro-Democracy demonstrations in Beijing's Tiananmen Square when it happened 20 years ago, so I would urge you to read up on it today. There are remembrances all over the web, but not in China, where they've done everything possible to prevent any commemmoration of it. It's really sad what happened back then and moreso, that the chinese state is still a regime.
They had some documentaries shown here on german TV and CNN. They even showed how the protesting students etc. got shot.
