Can I create a new topic for this? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... pyeyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Anyway, UFA's official version of the competition song is out (and the contest is over, by the way). It's over at Dohhh Up!, although you can also follow it at H!O while the servers are getting loaded or what have you.
For a green-screen only PV, UFA finally had the budget to go about Using Actual Special Effects, which is much better than their previous usage of it (like oh, say, Warrachauyo or Yattarouze!). Plot? What plot? They also had their own footage (and the entire song, not the chopped up version we were working with) so it was a nice, happy touch.
So, DISCUSS! What did you like about it? Did it live up to the caliber of a UFA PV?

At first, I was surprised at the detail of each clip. For a fan-made PV, it would be really strong. Then I realized it was five minutes long... For an official PV, it's definitely got a budget and the production is clever. Many of the clips they gave fans seem to make sense now (like the solo dance parts). The first and third parts really fits the song, but the second part seems a little bland. It's kind of like color on a white sheet, nice, but there's a lot of empty space.

This was such a awesome song that I'm glad it got an awesome PV. They really outdid themselves. I'm also glad they kept extra footage for the official PV so it wasn't *exactly* like the others.

Well, then, H!P has good taste in PVs/songs to copy from. Santogold is fiiiierce.
Once Morning Musume stops being Takahashi Ai & Reina Tanaka feat. The Rest Of Morning Musume, I'll start caring again. Those two are my least favorites, and they dominate EVERYTHING. Unfortunately, the Leader Curse hasn't quite hit Ai yet, damn.
Cute overall, though.

Well, the fact that it seems to be semi-ripped off kind of kills some of my appreciation for this PV, but oh well. It's a fun PV, but why did they really need to make one at all? I don't really understand what the point of the PV making contest was if....they didn't intend to use one of the fan PVs. As a b-side, it didn't really need an official/professional PV.

Looking at the color-code, it seems like the Reina & Takahashi show, but actually watching the PV/listening to the song it didn't feel that way to me as much as other songs have. Takahashi was definately featured more than the other girls, but overall everyone got plenty of screen time. The song was broken up in a way that made it feel more like an actual group song to me than Some Lead Vocalists feat. Some Backup Singers. It might have something to do with the use of harmonies and effects in the song make it sound less solo-y to me.
