Looks like Miki went with on of the crowns she'd been looking at and shown on her journal.



And yes I would say as long as there are no sudden "announcements" in the next couple of weeks she will be one of the few idols to not have a shotgun wedding.

I totally didn't even realize they were engaged, but this is super cute. Really happy for her, she looks happy and not just like 'I was forced into this'. Like a lot of them do with that fake smile in the engagement pictures the day after they were caught pregnant or dating. ><

There are many publicity stills of Miki and her husband on the image board at H-O, by the way. I'm reading the story off Mainichi and it is INSANELY cute. This is a quick translation (- if I made mistakes, please correct me!)

Tomoharu Shoji (33) of the comedy duo "Shinagawa Shoji" and talent Fujimoto Miki (24) were interviewed on the 12th in Tokyo's "Shinagawa's "Yoshimoto Prince Theatre" and announced they've submitted their marriage registration on the 11th. The wedding ceremony already took place on the 3rd (local time) in America's Hawaii. Shoji-san happily said "From now on, the two of us will work hard so please give us your blessings."* The two announced their engagement of March of this year.



The two walked onto stage holding hands. When asked about the wedding ceremony, Shoji-san said "it was a beautiful ceremony. (Looking at Fujimoto he said) It was cute, wasn't it? Mikitty was cute that day." When he said this, Fujimoto said "How embarrassing!" and her cheeks flushed red.

On the other hand, when asked about unfaithfulness, Fujimoto said "なくはない"***....He said 'I will not cheat' so I have no choice but to trust in him." When asking the same question to comedian Jinnai Tomonori who married Fujiwara Noriko, they had readily responded with the "3-steps behind" line****. Referencing this, Fujimoto said "Rather than walk 3 steps behind, I prefer to stay one step ahead."

This is a sad statement, especially coming from someone who already has kids. It thoroughly disgusts me how families try to push their kids into getting married and having kids, and doing everything they can to push that upon them. I would literally hate my parents if they ever tried that shit on me, but they have not, and by this point, I know they will not, and I'm glad for that. I just know how true it is for most families and how sad it is that people actually crack under that pressure.
