The preview hits on all the important bits: a half second of each solo song, half-second of the new song, footage of the new costumes, and backstage footage including delicious idol tears. Also, there will be a DVD at some point, but nothing certain.

What exactly is an anti-fan? I hear about this more with Kpop girl groups and I'm not 100% sure what it is. She's beautiful - I don't understand how or why people disliked her.



And, to me....some of the other girls' reactions in that video seem so fake. If they really supported her this whole time, maybe she wouldn't have quit.

Antis are basically haters, though I've seen the term also applied to psycho fans, though I'm not sure if that's proper usage. They post mean stuff on people's blogs and such. The Korean antis have even hurt members of groups - a girl almost killed Yunho of DBSK by slipping super glue into his drink.

I know Morning Musume's Erina has anit-fans from the start all because she's a fan of AKB48. Tsuji had to shut down the comments on her blog because of anti-fans while she was pregnant with her second child. Anti-fans in Japan seem to be more talk then action (but then I don't pay much attention to them so they might be worse?) while Korean anti-fans are scarier. D:

I don't think are being fake. They look genuinely sad, mostly Reni, and Ayaka & Momoka look like they're thinking about it a lot. Even if they say "Don't quit!" it's a really big decision she made herself, and she wouldn't go back on it so easily. And even if the girls support her with all their hearts, they can't stop all the anti-fans from hurting her, which is the reason she quit. In the end the anti-fans got to her, and the Momoclo girls can't really do anything about it.

From what I understand of it, aside from the anti/unpopular-angle (apparently her lines at handshake events were always the shortest?) she seems to really hate singing, doesn't feel like she wants to be an idol, and feels like she has no added value in the group. Even without the antis it doesn't sound like she was really happy with her choice, I'd say. I mean, there's always going to be one least-popular member, so if that was the main/only issue, she could probably get support from the company to get over it. I wouldn't consider that a reason to quit, and I'm sure the company tried to get her to stay.



If they're going to stick with the color theme they'll simply have to recruit a new member to replace blue, and this is not the kind of thing you'd want to be dealing with when you're still emerging as a group, unless your intention is to make a Morning Mususme-esque group (but that doesn't seem like their initial goal... The color coding is a dead giveaway that they wanted to keep these girls the same for a long time).

The only time I've ever heard of anti-fans was from that blog post. It's true that she was probably the least popular, but it's not like it was a large margin (I guess it seems true that foreigners like her a lot more than the Japanese fanbase). Just judging from the handshake lines, sometimes she'd finish first, but other days someone else would. There may have been less blue glowsticks in the crowd than other colors, but there weren't, um, anti-blue glowsticks in there. I have not once heard of people being explicitly against her to her face or in her blog comments. Maybe I was naive.

I have a ticket to MomoClo's concert at Zepp Osaka this Saturday. If I buy another copy of the CD, I can get handshakes. That will happen.



But the NEXT DAY. There is an event just a half hour away. At said event, I can buy yet another CD for another round of handshakes (probably not necessary?). I can then buy yet another three CDs (one of each version) to get a photo with the girl of my choice.
