Ami Suzuki - KISS KISS KISS
Here's the PV (YT)
Suzuki Ami's got a new single, "KISS KISS KISS." The lead track is produced by Tomoyuki Tanaka (FANTASTIC PLASTIC MACHINE). The single will release in CD and CD+DVD formats on October 28. KISS KISS KISS is a hip-hop-electronic hybrid track (think Ne-Yo's Closer or Sweet Black's works). There will be an English version of KISS KISS KISS KISS. In a recent PR event, Ami Suzuki said the song was inspired by Toyota’s new Corolla Fielder X 202 (which may just be the car in the PV). Ami will also be a DJ in the upcoming HOUSE NATION tour. KISS KISS KISS first made it's appearance on HOUSE NATION's Aquamarine mix CD and it will be the theme for the new tour.
Honestly, I'm in love with this song (despite Tomoyuki Tanaka) and I enjoy the video. The lighting effects really make the video.
Track List:
01 KISS KISS KISS
02 愛してる....
03 KISS KISS KISS (Extended Japanese Version)
04 KISS KISS KISS (Extended English Version)
05 愛してる.... (Extended)
Re: Ami Suzuki - KISS KISS KISS
I really like the song and the pv, but to say the song was inspired by the car puts a dampener on things ;(
edit: The English version is a bit pants <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/oiy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I can't understand a word she's singing at the beginning, something about her mother's lipstick?
I kinda like these lyrics though, "As I watch you eat your sandwich and lick the sauce on your lips I wonder do you know how to kiss kiss kiss kiss..." <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ohyeah.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':danceman:' />

Ooh, I say yesss to this too. I'm such a big fan of Amigo's TK works, but once she got all eurobeat/vocoder I couldn't get into any of her songs. This actually uses her real voice. I could do without the "kissing you that's all good" or whatever part, but overall sooo good. And the covers are gorgeous. I wonder if they put out the single here in Korea...

not bad. btw, can you believe she's almost 30? (she's 27). I still remember when she was the tomboyish 16 year old from "Love the Island."

Namie Amuro's a solid 32 and she's still printing money <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... lesson.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lesson:' />

Ok, so the single is available through all the usual channels. I'm still loving KISS KISS KISS, but Aishiteru is a really cool song. It starts off kind of corny sounding, but it really evolves into a catchy tune. Both of the songs give off a distinct FANTASTIC PLASTIC MACHINE sound and I really like it. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I definitely recommend it to any one who even remotely liked her past few singles. I just wish there were instrumentals...
[upd] These English lyrics are amazing:
(these are the actual lyrics from the English Extended Mix)
"As I watch you eat your sandwich and
lick the sauce from your lips
I wonder if you know how to
KISS KISS KISS KISS
Close your eyes and open your mind
I wanna give you a big surprise
Oh baby do you know how to
KISS KISS KISS KISS"

I enjoy Aishiteru better. It feels the beat nicer to me.
The effects from the music video make my body want to go into shock.

Re: Ami Suzuki - KISS KISS KISS
Update and clarification on the single.
KISS KISS KISS was not produced by FPM, but by Ananda Project (an American producer from Atlanta) and is a cover of Ananda Project's 2004 KISS KISS KISS. It was originally going to be the b-side, but the song was re-written by Ami in Japanese (the hilarious English lyrics are faithful to the original version) and became the a-side.
aishiteru... (the correct spelling) is the only song produced by FPM and was going to be the a-side, but became the coupling.
Thanks Wikipedia. I was liking associating KISSx3's arrangement with FPM. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /noway.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Re: Ami Suzuki - KISS KISS KISS
^ fffffffffffff I knew it didn't sound that much like FPM's style but I was totally prepared to believe it was him. At least I love "aishiteru..." though.
